It's been going on a couple years.

Yeah, we've been doing it for a few years now. We've got one more year under contract with Maiman Monument for fiscal year 27 that they'll be doing that as well. And then after that, we'll see where we go from there.

How many will they have done?

So Maiman Monument has done... I don't have the exact number because we've had other companies in at different times as well on some different phases. But Maven Monument has probably done close to 150 to 200,000. And then we've had other companies in as well. Okay. Okay.

Alright, quick update for the pool. This drone footage was taken today, so it's up to date pictures and video that you're going to get. We'll just watch the video quick and then I'll do a little explanation on it. You can see off to the right hand side that That's part of the parking lot that is done. Then off to the top of the screen, they still need to do that area. They've got that all already prepped. And then as we get to the left-hand side of your screen here, that part still needs to be demoed, that part of the parking lot. And then that will be formed and poured as well. From this shot here, you can see the sidewalk that leads back into where the splash pad is. The splash pad is all poured.

Right down the very end here on either side of the mixer truck, are those the shade structures? Is that what that is? These right here, right? Yep.

These are all going to be shade structures. They just don't have the canopies on them. Right, as they're waiting to pour probably. Yep, so there's five more. There's a line right here, three. And then two more right here that'll go straight across from these two.

Are there any over by the splash pad?

There are none by the splash pad. We, you know, in the plans, we're looking at putting a shelter up there at some point. So that would be the shade.

Would that be inside or outside the fence?

outside of the fence beside the splash pad.

People that aren't necessarily going in can still use the splash pad and would have a shade area. People that aren't necessarily going into the pool are still going to have access to the splash pad, right? Yes. And they would have a shade area too.

The splash pad will be completely separate from the pool at all times. And so yes, then the shelter would serve the people on the outside of the pool to serve the slasher. Sorry, I just wanted to make sure we were starting the same thing. So there's just a shot of the parking lot, ground level. So they're planning on pouring the rest of that west side this week.

So that's the final boundary of the east side of the parking lot?

No. So they're still going to be pouring this part. This is the west side here. There's still a sidewalk that comes right through here to serve the whole parking lot. Then the east side is actually going to stretch past even where this asphalt is out about another 10 to 15 feet into the grass. Wow. So a parking lot continues for quite a ways here yet. Then they're also pouring, right here you can see the concrete truck here, They were forming this up today to pour. I did not make it down at the end of the day to see if they got this poured or not. But they're going to be pouring here. They want to get this area through here. And then they'll start back around. So that's kind of their plan. To pour all of that will probably take at least into next week sometime. That's with perfect weather, of course. But it looks pretty good so far. Here's just a shot of the splash pad. So here's your switch to turn things on. So you push the button on there, everything will start up with the spray features. Then that's just a close up of the sidewalk leading to the splash pad. where the turf hill will be going, or a little mound. So there will be styrofoam placed, which the styrofoam is actually here. They're getting ready to install that. That gets installed in here, and then they'll make a little mound out of it about, I believe it's 16 inches high, and then cover that with turf. And so it'll be a turf hill to sit on outside of the pool. That's just a shot of our chlorine tanks. So there's four chlorine tanks in the back chemical room and then there will be two tanks for acid as well. Yeah, mostly pouring of concrete this weekend into next weekend. Then we're gonna be able to see a lot more of that pool deck and parking lot. All right.

I was out there today and it looks really, really good. And I was really impressed with the gentleman to Austin. Was that his name?

Yes, Austin.

Let's see Austin. Yes, I was very impressed with him and the way he knew what was going on and had solutions and answers for everything. And so I appreciate what the crew is doing out there and what Garrett is doing. It is very cool to see what's happening behind the scenes.

That brings us to reports from boards and commissions. Does anybody have any questions on the report you received? Okay, that brings us to staff updates.

Just a quick update. They're doing CITP lining right now throughout town. They're not actually lining, but they're televising and cleaning all the mains. So we've tried to notify the residents of the backyards that they're affected, but there might be some people out there that still might not get our notifications. We're trying to use TextMyGov and Facebook notifications, and we've sent out other notices around too. Right now, like I said, they're just televising and cantering, and they will be back later to actually physically put the lines on the lanes.

As a reminder, tomorrow night, August 4th, will be our national night out here at Coleman Park. If rain is imminent, we will have to cancel that. We do not have a rain date, so hopefully it will get pushed back a little bit, and we'll be able to hold that event from 4.30 to 7.30 in Coleman Park. That's all we have tonight, ma'am.

I want everybody to know that there is a presentation on how to test your home for radon and why you should do it at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the library. Some 4-H and STEM students are going to be doing that, and they will have free test kits for people who show up. Also, I got a nice tour of the livestock barns and 4-H exhibits from Emma and Madeline Jones last week, and a lot of nice-looking... Gosh, furniture, crafts, clothing, all sorts of exhibits from the 4-H'ers and the livestock barns look great. So shout out to everybody who helped out at the fair and exhibited. Councilperson Kangas.

Just had, there's been some communication as far as kids commentary about kids that are trying to get air with them with the scooters and things and not necessarily riding them the most appropriately or safely. So kind of please talk to students, talk to kids that are out there riding. And I would also say to adults, because Saturday when I was driving, I nearly hit a bike that ran a four-way stop at 5th and 5th. And they weren't even on the right side of the road. They were on the left side of the road going opposite. So they weren't even in my normal look for a scan, but they blew right through the stop sign. Fortunately, I was stopped and did not immediately proceed.

I've been having semi-regular listening sessions at Waverly Bidders and Waverly Homes. And I had one on Sunday. And about 30 people continued to show up at them. It was... very lovely to go in there and have constructive conversations. And so I just want to publicly thank the commission for all the work that they have done in a very tumultuous time. So they've done a really great job.

And our guest council person, do you have any thoughts, questions?

No, thanks guys for having me. It's been fun.

Great, and that brings us to my comments. Yes, shout out to the Bremer County Fair Board for everything they did. The whole event was wonderful. They scrambled, I know, to fix some things right there at the end and to work with Combine Derby and some other things that kind of fell apart there. But they did a fantastic job. It was a great event. So thank you to them. And as always, if you can't find the good in a community like this that has so many wonderful things going on, then work on being the good in your community. Council, do I have a motion to adjourn?
