Our Commitment: We believe in transparency and respect for your privacy. Hamlet collects only the data necessary to provide our civic intelligence service, and we never sell your personal information to third parties.

As you use our Service, we automatically collect:

Payment Information

For paid subscriptions, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment information. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. We receive only:

  • Last four digits of your card
  • Card brand and expiration date
  • Billing address
  • Transaction history

We do not use your search queries or personal data to train AI models or sell to data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Specifically:

  • Account Data: Retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
  • Search History: Retained for 2 years to provide search history features and improve the Service. You can delete your search history at any time.
  • Alerts & Bookmarks: Retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Payment Records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
  • Server Logs: Automatically deleted after 90 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Regular security assessments and penetration testing
