Carson, how are you? Good. Staying indoors. Yeah, okay. Next week.

1:33 – 1:48Speaker 4

We're supposed to be going down to Kansas City this weekend with the kids. It's going to be zoo and all that and it's going to be freaking hot. Yeah. What? I don't know what else you expect during the summer in Midwest, right?

1:48Speaker 3

Got to plan ahead as much as you can and live with the results.

1:55Speaker 4

Sounds like we're getting a new workout, Jim. Are we? Crave?

2:02Speaker 2

I believe you.

2:03 – 2:18Speaker 4

I saw it on Facebook. I didn't see any detail. They just... Gentleman that owns... What is the name of his company? Derek Lines. Ever work with him?

2:18Speaker 3

Doesn't ring a bell. Oh, what is the name of his builder company?

2:23Speaker 4

Showtime Homes.

2:27 – 2:40Speaker 4

His wife. I don't know if she's... I think they started over in West Des Moines. I think they've got one over in Waukee. They were posting about it on Facebook that they're going to have one coming to Norwalk.

2:42Speaker 3

All right. Sometimes when you get businesses opening up in multi-tenant buildings, I wonder about it.

2:50Speaker 4

I also wondered about...

2:54 – 3:23Speaker 3

because didn't they get booted from fairway the group that was in there um or not so we had a board of adjustment meeting about that we were supposed to have a construction board of appeals meeting that got canceled um i don't know exactly where that is right now but i guess maybe is the answer it was the only thing i could think of because i'm like i mean it's a i think they're facility well they're down behind the uh

3:25Speaker 4

Gosh, what is it now? It used to be one of the 1908s down on E.P. Truett 50th.

3:30Speaker 3

I drove by that this afternoon.

3:32 – 3:56Speaker 4

Yeah, so they're down in that strip mall. Yeah, Goldies, that's what it is now. So their flagship is back down in that strip mall behind Goldies. So it's not a huge space, but I was trying to think of where else it would even go with Yeah, it obviously not be, you know, they're not building somewhere, otherwise we would have seen it by this point.

3:56Speaker 3

Yeah, maybe one of the spec buildings, who knows?

4:02Speaker 4

But yeah, it seems like people were pretty, I've never done that class before or that deal, but.

4:14Speaker 3

Good, how are you?

4:14Speaker 1

Good, how are you?

4:16Speaker 3

Good. Dean, how are you? Excellent. Terrific.

4:33Speaker 1

Looks on his trip still.

4:35 – 4:50Speaker 3

He should have landed in Chicago this afternoon. I think he's not making it right now. We'll see if he calls into the Zoom. Make Sarah drive for a session and then be on this one agenda item in P&Z meeting.

4:55Speaker 1

Elliot, I know I will not be here for the next meeting because it's dead week. Awesome. Call it good.

5:02Speaker 3

We'll put Paris in charge of that one and see what happens. Or you can run the meeting.

5:12Speaker 2

Right. That sounds like a terrible idea.

5:20Speaker 3

We'll put you in charge of it and hope it gets canceled.

5:22Speaker 2

There you go.

5:25Speaker 3

I'll do that. Andrew, how are you? Good. How are you?

5:29Speaker 4

Welcome. Long time no see.

5:35Speaker 4

I know. I'm going to get called in.

5:36Speaker 2

I thought you were going to run it.

5:38Speaker 4

Think about that. Yeah, I just got roped in by just the proximity, right?

5:46Speaker 4

I think we've only got this one.

5:48Speaker 2

Yeah, just chase them.

5:59Speaker 4

AJ should just be like, no, he knows it all.

6:01Speaker 5

No, right? He just wants to sit down and be like, hey, let me do it. He'd do that totally.

6:13Speaker 4

You want to do it? No, you shouldn't.

6:18Speaker 1

It sounds just like him now, too.

6:31Speaker 4

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be normal.

6:38Speaker 1

Where's that one go?

6:39Speaker 4

We're trying to figure out.

6:43Speaker 2

That's the second time I've heard about that place in like less than an hour.

6:47Speaker 4

Yeah, I just saw that today.

6:49Speaker 2

Well, yeah, I had somebody contacting me telling me to stop bringing gyms to town. And I'm like, I don't even know anything about that. Like, I'm not in charge of that.

7:00Speaker 5

To be healthy and physically. Yeah.

7:03Speaker 2

I think that they might be seeing this competition. Yeah.

7:06Speaker 4

I think. What do you.

7:27Speaker 3

It is 5.45. We have neither a quorum nor chair. Andrew, I might be asking you in three minutes.

7:36Speaker 5

I told Carson he was in.

7:39Speaker 4

I can run with it today. I'll do it. It's fine. All right, here you go. I got to go down there because that's where the camera is.

7:45Speaker 3

AJ told me he was going to be three minutes late.

7:49Speaker 3

So he's on his way. Very specific. We'll have a quorum at some point. Done this before.

7:56Speaker 5

Just coach me through it.

8:00Speaker 3

Want to attend an item like last time, thankfully, so. Hotly contested. No public hearing necessary. See who we got here.

8:10Speaker 5

Are we almost technically early?

8:13Speaker 1

Look at that.

8:13Speaker 5

You're ahead of your three minutes.

8:16Speaker 3

No, I'm not. What's the matter? Based on expectations, AJ. But now we have quorum, so.

8:24Speaker 5

And it's still 545. Can we bring in?

8:28 – 8:54Speaker 5

It's 545. We'll call the July 13th Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order. First thing on the agenda is We need to approve the agenda. Does that mean we roll it over first? Thank you.

8:57Speaker 5

Can you call roll, please, Hillary?

8:59Speaker 2

Thompson? Here. Eaton?

9:03Speaker 2

Samuelson? Here. Forrest? Here. Garrison? No. Henders? Steiger?

9:13 – 9:28Speaker 5

Here. All right. Now we can... approve the agenda that's set forward. No, we do the, don't we approve their meeting minutes for the last meeting first? Yeah.

9:28Speaker 3

Agenda first.

9:29 – 9:46Speaker 5

Agenda first, all right, perfect. Well, let's work right down it. So is there any questions or discussion on the agenda that Elliot sent out to us? If not, I'll get a motion and a second.

9:47Speaker 1

Thompson, motion.

9:47 – 10:07Speaker 5

Forced to second. All in favor, say aye. Aye. Next, we will approve the minutes of the June 3rd. What was our last meeting? July 8th. I'm sorry.

10:08Speaker 3

I had the June 8th minutes linked for a long time. Well, I'm looking at this one and I need a sign and it says June 8th, but okay.

10:18 – 10:37Speaker 5

So is there... Any amendments or adjustments that need to be made to the June 22nd meeting minutes? That'll take a motion and a second to approve the June 22nd meeting minutes. First one motion.

10:39 – 10:52Speaker 5

All in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. TAB, Mark McIntyre:" hey now it's time at at 548 we're going to open public hearing and.

10:52Speaker 3

TAB, Mark McIntyre:" No, no public hearing needs to be open okay.

10:56Speaker 5

TAB, Mark McIntyre:" Yes, it will not open public hearing. TAB, Mark McIntyre:" I don't have I don't see on your screen.

11:02Speaker 3

TAB, Mark McIntyre:" Sorry yeah okay good.

11:07 – 11:42Speaker 5

TAB, Mark McIntyre:" welcome the guests. So if there's anyone that is here, either in person or online, that would like to speak to a topic that is not on the agenda, you can come up and speak. Just state your name. All right. There's no topics outside the agenda. So the next item is the Saddle Ridge Plateau. Final plat. And Elliot, can you brief us?

11:43 – 13:52Speaker 3

Yep. So as suggested in the title, this is Plat 2 over in Saddle Ridge. Plat 1 we approved around the same time last year. And that's the development area on Beardsley Street, just south of Lakewood, west of the Legacy. east of Shadow Creek Estates. So context map, you can see where that's located. Currently accessible via Clearwater Drive and Wakanda Drive, paving in progress. We're working on getting a walkthrough scheduled of that public infrastructure. This is a continuation, Plat 1, 34 single family residential lots. It contains the final piece, Parkland dedication for Saddle Ridge. So this area was identified as a Greenway corridor in conjunction with the development of Shadow Creek Estates in Platte 1. They dedicated a 6.41 acre piece of land intended to Service that Parkland dedication back to. Does the remaining 2.96 acres? This was all outlined in the Parkland dedication agreement that was drafted. But 1 was approved by council. So that Parkland piece is this Western lot P. You can see in small print their city park. kind of wraps around this cul-de-sac Prescott Court in Black 2. This will be the final piece of parkland dedication. South of here, it'll be another cul-de-sac with residential lots. At some point, this will connect to the Shadow Creek Estates parkland piece. It'll be available for a greenway trail, which would be a city project down. So that pretty much sums up I have to say about it, happy to answer any questions. We have Dean Rogier in the room with us if there are questions for the project. We may have somebody online also is interested in this item.

13:53 – 14:05Speaker 5

All right. Dean, do you want to share anything beyond what Elliot presented? Just share your questions. Okay.

14:14 – 14:25Speaker 3

So we don't want the public hearing. This isn't an ordinance change of any sort. We can just ask for comments from anybody. Yeah. Comments, deliberation, and then if there's any motion to be made.

14:25 – 14:49Speaker 5

All right. Is there anyone from the public that would like to provide a comment or share an opinion? If so, please say your name and your address first. Alright, then open it up for the Commission to discuss any questions or comments for Elliot or the applicant.

14:58Speaker 3

Forward nothing.

15:05 – 15:22Speaker 5

Can you just brief us again? What's the exact motion you'd like us to bring? Entertain a motion to approve the final plan. All right. So with that, I will entertain a motion and a second to approve the final plat of the Saddler Ridge, Plat 2. Forceful motion.

15:23Speaker 2

Samuelson will second.

15:25Speaker 5

Hillary, will you call roll?

15:27Speaker 2

Thompson? Aye. Eaton?

15:31Speaker 2

Samuelson? Aye. Forrest? Aye. Steiger? Aye.

15:38Speaker 3

HAB-Masyn Moyer- Right.

15:39Speaker 5

Thank you. HAB-Masyn Moyer- We have any we don't have a city council update I don't think and he's not here is he.

15:46Speaker 3

HAB-Masyn Moyer- Unless Andy is 2298337. HAB-Masyn Moyer- That is Andy speak now.

16:01Speaker 5

HAB-Masyn Moyer- Right let's move on to Community development update, we have anything.

16:06 – 16:34Speaker 3

I believe we will have a July 27th meeting. I'm expecting council, I don't know, it's maybe a coin flip as to whether or not they initiate a zoning amendment on Thursday this week. Kind of just depends on how much the applicant wants to move it forward. Right now, that's the only thing I have for that PNC meeting. I will be out of town at that time. So Paris will be the one coordinating if there needs to be a meeting. I have no other updates.

16:37Speaker 5

It doesn't look like we have anything planned for Holly to share. Obviously, Holly's not here.

16:41Speaker 3

She left the building about half an hour ago. Unless she's 22983.

16:54Speaker 5

With that, our next meeting is July 27th. At least that's currently planned unless plans change, but you'll let us know. So with that, I'll entertain a motion and a second to adjourn.

17:07Speaker 2

I'm some motion.

17:08Speaker 5

Or so second. All in favor say aye. Aye. That we are adjourned at 554. Thanks for calling in Howard.

17:20Speaker 1

Thank you. Have a good evening, everybody.
