Yeah, no, this is their annual renewal. And then there's another one. And you can do it in one motion or two motions. Then we have one for Best Nests Farms for a five-day special Class C. And that's for an event, Best Nests Fest on Sunday, June 28th.

We're listed separately, so I'll make a motion to approve the liquor license for Bellator.

The severe storm, my opinion was the siren should have blown because with the wind being so high from 70 to 75 miles an hour and the damage that it did, it was a severe thunderstorm warning that was on TV. Oh, I thought it was on Mills County on the Channel 7 before my TV went out. Well, anyway, I think it should have been done with the way the wind was and all the damage that was done. And I think the people around that really helped clean up, it really was a good job all around. Everybody was out and helping each other and whether it was city, Kenley, people, whatever. I think everybody did a nice job of getting things cleared up and out of the way for people. And last thing, I want to make sure that people speak up at your table so we can hear from back here. General discussions, all I have today. We did have people out from about 4.30 in the morning to maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon for storm cleanup. A lot of trees down. power lines down, washouts, things like that. And then finishing up yesterday and today with the graders, just checking their routes and fixing them, all those washouts on the shoulders and edges and rock roads. Starting today, the asphalt's coming down for 221st Street rejuvenation spray. It should start spraying around noon. It takes about an hour and a half, four hours cure time. And then I got highway signing coming in at the end of the day to put the pavement markings right back. It's going to take them a total of three days. So Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. And then that road should be complete. Deacon Road, we started doing base stabilization on that last week. We held off because of the rain. Trying to find a window. We'd like to have 72 hours after we finish of no rain. We're going to go today and then Thursday is looking like heavy chance of rain, so we're pushing it off again. We probably need two days, and we think we can rip up the rest of it, compact it, get that stuff sprayed, and then we'd need three days after that. So we're hoping maybe Friday or early next week we can get that started. Stateville is expected to come in, last I heard it was sometime early July. So I'll reach out and see if there are more updated times. They'll come in and do deacon and then finish H12 that we ripped up last year. L63 is going back up and running as of yesterday. We're milling out that fat material and then we'll be paving the good stuff back down. They're going to pull that out? That's what they're doing now. They're ripping it out. The beginning of the project, we did get some of those millings and that was just by luck. They were full of their yard and said, hey, we got no more, do you guys want them? So we took them. We can write in the contract if we want to keep them. On this one, we did not. So it's always kind of a balance game. If you say the county wants to keep them, then your price of asphalt's a little bit higher because if they keep them, they put it back into the asphalt So they were been out the entire project or sections of four miles. So we're leaving about there's been an inch and that stuff was good. An inch and a half. That stuff was bad. So we're ripping out an inch of the bad stuff. So we have a little bit of buffer there and then. But our new layers on three inches over that so. Back down to their conservation. on the, by the bridge. Yeah, it will, yeah, right south of Malbert. On the south side. Yeah, so it's kind of a, if that little layer starts peeling up, then we have to take it all out. So if it's some of the other places that's bonded really well, we can leave it in there. So we're going to see some spots that are kind of like that. And then when they come off the paper, it'll fill it. So we'll have some spots that are a little bit deeper than it should have, two inches. L63 rejuvenation, spray, decant rub, sinkhole, and then we have another kind of structure out on 3rd and 40th and Donner that we're having some water issues. It's basically, it's a greenwood structure, so it's a slippery slide coming out of that and washing down the wall. Had a guy look at it yesterday. We're going to do some pressure grounding, cut the water off, fill in those voids, and then do a little bit of concrete work to sort of flow back uh kind of the same tactic for the pipe and that greenwood structure so jumping on that here and then a little bit later in july we'll have uh then come down we're going to do some asphalt fillets at 230th street off ferris so we've had rebuts for that for quite quite a while going north to the is that fellow there's the fountains But there's a wedding venue up there. And then also do Gaston off 230th Street. And we'll do noise off of Highway 26. So we got kind of a lot of maintenance projects coming up. And wrap up this one construction project. Our next construction project will be 215th Street Bridge. That's the September leading. So it'll be winter construction.

What's the state plan on starting on their bridge removal?

I haven't heard. Well, the latest I, when I first were talking about it, they didn't specifically say a date, but I got the impression of sometime in July, so.

So speaking of damage other than the tree, uh this is going to be incurred a tremendous amount of water on friday night and sent them um you know what happened every time we had that one directional wind and the torrential rain um through the windows or through the roof sorry somewhere we don't know where we've had apparently the last time this happened uh this is the first time we had water in some buildings since um i took over in new york 24. so it's been a while but it's also been a while since we had that kind of wind and that kind of rain all at once and just your feet, whatever that wind direction and that amount of rain comes. We're probably going to open up, we have a lot of sheetrock damage, a lot of water damage and paint. Probably going to open up a claim for an insurance because it's going to take a bunch to fix it. Now, whether or not we can ideally, or we have to show it from the roof, we can come in and take a look at that, see if they can figure out and lift it up to the floor. Obviously, something is wrong. It's in the roof and somewhere along a sale or something like that. We've got water coming in and it's coming in from my office on the southwest corner all the way back to jail patrol, which is three quarters of the way to the building. So it's coming all over. It's coming in somewhere. What did we say we paid it off? $34,000. We keep buying it back, Lonnie.

First thing I'm going to do is I'm going to file our post election audit report with you guys. So every election, a randomly selected precinct is picked for a post-election hand count audit. This election was when Woodward won. And the Secretary of State also randomly selects what offices get audited on those ballots. So a U.S. Senator was picked for this one, as well as a State Auditor was picked as we audited both the Republican and the Democrat. ballots, and we did match up with Langwood Ward one perfectly, and that's already been filed with the Secretary of State's office as well. Did you guys have any questions about what happened on Election Day?

We have all write-ins. There was no winner that met the threshold of 35% and the majority of the vote. So there's no way we can do that.

So there will not be a Democrat on the vote?

Percentage-wise, it was about 19%, and that is on par with the state turnout for this election.

I heard that it was a little fine.

I don't know on the state level, but on a county level, this was our highest turnout since I've been here, and that counts 2022 or 2024. And we have higher turnout on our absentee side as well as at public stations. Good.

Yes. We did have a few voters that had address issues, but that was a known issue with the e-full books going in. So we weren't prepared for it. Those voters that were affected had to vote provisionals and all those provisional ballots were accepted by our provisional board on Friday. The next thing that I had was just getting permission to shred our 2024 voted primary election materials. We have them for 22 months. So this would just be voting or shredding all of the voted ballots as we're past the retention period.

I added this to the agenda because it's something we discussed a couple weeks ago and wanted to make sure that we didn't forget to put it somewhere. So I didn't know if you guys wanted to take action on today or move to another meeting, but I wanted to keep it on the agenda to keep it.

Do we know where the placement's going to go?

No.

Yeah. So we, like I said, you can table this for that. Unless we can find some areas in there, but I just want to make sure that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of things.

I'd like to reach out. They said it's $83.10 per sign plus installation. I'd like to just see if St. Mary's Road can install the signs if that's possible. So I have a little bit more time until next week, but I'll reach out and see if that's successful.

Consideration, formal action, Golden Hills funding request.

And to send our Golden Hills account to us asking for a donation or a contribution for fiscal year 2027. And we did discuss it at one of our meetings. However, no official action was taken. Their request was for $15,000. And I think when we talked at the meetings, budget meetings, we had talked maybe 10. But I don't know what you guys want to do. I want to make sure that we're going to do something. Let's get it on the books so we can budget. And I do have a copy of the last budget in your plans.

To see where we are with last months. Where we've been and lost in September, a couple of things lost.

This is the agreement that they send every year to all the participating entities. It states that we'll contribute $6,000 towards SWTA. So every year they send it to get one on.

motion to approve six thousand dollars to the co-realtor system just based agreement for flight 27 out of lost funds we got a meeting here live we haven't had meetings since then but uh i'll bring it up now they they give us the state give us our three-year running total for buying new buses, vans, cars. The first two years were all right because we had match money. The third year, it goes to $3.5 million. We're having a little struggle with getting our budget stretched out that far, but it goes up almost a million dollars a year to match their funds in order to have the buses and stuff because we can only run them so many miles. say, that's it, here's your new ones. So it gets a little costly once in a while, but they claim we can do it. But they do a lot of transportation folks. Any other discussion?

Next on the agenda Supervisors Committee meeting updates. Meeting last week with the EMS. Trying to finalize and. Concerns and questions on how to proceed with talking to groups in the communities of you know. have them groups contact us or do we go out and try and get people to come to us and, you know, it's more or less a question-answer situation we're looking at. We can't, as a group, say, you know, tell you to vote or ask you to vote. It's just questions, answers. It's kind of the way the state has set it up. And then I had a meeting yesterday on... The GRC and the new roads and stuff is going in. They give us a little preliminary look at it. When they put the overview out, all four entrances, the two tunnels, the two exits off of 34, they all meet in one spot eventually. And as they come in, you go through the campus right now, they will take you to one center location they're going to base everything off of and in the near future here we'll have a community you know want to come see what it was going to what the group is looking at and building up there and putting in and there are a lot of buildings that we're going to keep more than we planned on at the beginning so a lot of those will be turned into of the apartment houses. Or residential all by a family places. Water power does say that that would be a good idea is for our stuff case, you know that you want to do anything.

Next big step is where we're going to go in with utilities water sewer electric.

I yesterday had a quarter health meeting. No real updates there. Last week I did a zoom meeting for conference.

And how much from about 2 nice forget about that. Alright guys, people, ladies, gentlemen, we didn't have a conference board meeting last week where we appointed our new assessor. She accepted graphically. I think she'll do a good job. It was a unanimous vote taken from all the entities on it. And she's excited about getting started. So I think it's 15th?

No, she starts on Friday. Her name is Rochelle Waller. Of this Friday. From Harrison County. And so she'll be here Friday morning to get started. So she's very excited. And we're hoping to keep her part-timer just a little bit longer, and she'll start to work on building her office. She's got a lot of work for her to do. But I'm very excited to have her on board. I think she'll do a great job.

And she's worked, I think, like back in 21 or 22 when they had the same problem we had. They didn't have an assessor, so she has been through the gamut of helping establish and redoing all the work up there. When I talked to her boss, she told me on the phone, she said, there should be no problem. She has all this down. what she has to do to get this started back up again and running.

So I guess we'll find out. Okay, any new business?

I have a couple things, sorry. There was, we did get water in the reporter's office as well from a night storm. A window came in. Nothing was ruined, thankfully. But we looked at sources of that. It could be the windows above, we're not really sure. We did have tree damage at the courthouse and VA building for sure. I saw lands down. I know that Chad and Kevin have been hard at work making sure that the grounds get together. They've been doing a great job. I did have conversation with our buying attorneys about LMI and I'm going to be meeting with Jake Zimmer this afternoon to have a conversation with him about Clay Creek and the work they've done there. I'll have more information hopefully next week. The only question arises is the way that the new property tax bill is written that changes LMI. So I need to look at that. I think that's all I have for now.
