But the old church building over by St. Stevens, all that's out there now is the blue like collector can, whatever, the drop off can. Yeah. And I don't I don't really think we allow those. We got to look into that, too. But the the all that other stuff that was out there was gone today. So, hallelujah. As I always say, we have to have patience. Motion carries. Thank you, sir. Moving on to trusty business. Trusty Johnson. Thank you, Mayor. I just want to make the board aware that the finance committee actually met yesterday, a week ahead of time, because there are five Wednesdays in the month. Um, and the reason we met a little bit early is we wanted to review the FY27 budget. those that were at the committee meeting reviewed what was proposed and are in favor of putting the budget document forward to the board for approval on Wednesday, April 22nd, which will be the fourth Wednesday of the month. Um, I'd like to put the FY27 budget on the consent agenda for approval at that date. Does anybody have any questions?
Okay, that's all I have. Thank you, ma'am. Trusty Burbat. Thank you, Mayor. Um, I intend to make a motion for the approval of the community water supply asset protection plan agreement, but I thought it'd be really fun if we read some of it. Okay. We don't have that on the agenda for approval. We don't. No. Use a reader, you can read it.
Yeah, sure. Knock it out now. We don't do it next time. The AIN will provide water system planning services through its community water supply water ass community water supply asset protection program. This will include corrosions and codings inspection and analysis services through a third-party association for materials protection and performance formerly known as the National Association of Corrosion Engineers NATE certified firm encompassing the inspection and evaluation of selected village of Midothian water and wastewater assets that are subjected to corrosion andor protective coating failure. The corrosion of coding inspection will provide a detailed written report documenting the findings of the evaluations performed. The report will contain narrative descriptions of the areas evaluated for the assets and descriptions of current conditions together with photos, video, and documentation. Recommendations for corrosion removal methods and coding rehabilitation will be provided along with budget pricing. Included in this report will be a 10-year asset protection plan to assist the village of Mlotheian with planning, financing, and preparation for current and future asset protection work. This plan will include project priority list based on severity of corrosion and coding conditions detailing proposed timeline by fiscal year for project completion, budget costs, projections based on similar projects and potential funding sources, eg normal budgeting, grants, loans or maintenance contracts for the work to be performed. Also included in the project priority list will be a preventive maintenance inspection schedule for a each asset. This schedule will provide regular asset inspection and coding maintenance to prolong the coding system life thereby
extending the life of the covered assets infrastructure. Additionally, AIN will provide material to assist the village of Blotheian operators in obtaining state certified continuing education certificates. All AIN services are provided to the village of Milothian's city water operators free of charge. I think that covers what they do. That's it. Thank you, sir. We're going to get that on the agenda for approval. Uh hopefully. If you would, please. Can you send me information? Yes, ma'am. Thank you, sir. Uh Trustee uh Hilly. Um good. You good?
It's about time you ask. Yeah, thank you, sir. Trustee Jed. Thank you, Mayor. I do not have anything. Thank you, ma'am. Trusty Kley. Thank you, Mayor. Um, I do have some things I'm getting more like Trusty Crowley all the time. You're a lucky man.
Oh, so the t-shirt I'm wearing is keeping it all beautiful. wearing this t-shirt because we had our kickoff meetings uh yesterday and uh it was good. We had residents show up. We had business owners show up and officials from u library and park district as well as our public works superintendent. Uh I learned I learned some things too with good discussion. Um and we have people that really I think will want to get involved and um work with us. So uh the things that you know the thing our motto is uh we want to make a malfing a more beautiful town and everybody can do something. Some can do a little and some can do a lot but if everybody does something we can make this happen. So, uh, the things I've learned, one is one of the biggest factors for, uh, litter around, uh, around town is because people, uh, do not tie up their trash bags. And when it goes to the garbage truck, it gets dumped out. It flies all over. So, put put your trash in trash bags. Uh, not your recycle, but your regular trash. Put it in trash bags and tie it up. uh if everybody would take the 15-minute challenge. So, uh if you're a resident once once a week or more, uh look around your property, pick up uh the garbage that somehow accumulates from people who don't, you know, are just dumping it out. And even look at the curb because there's always u trash on the curb. If everybody would do that, that would help a lot. Make our town look a lot lot better. Uh we in preparation for these two meetings, we visited uh about a hundred businesses that are street level and uh there was a lot of business owners who were very concerned about the litter for their uh on their properties. They clean it up
every morning and it somehow accumulates. people dump it out uh or it flies over and they don't want the image that litter gives them where they pe the people think I they don't care about their their business. They don't even take the time to clean up their litter. Yes, they do. It accumulates uh uh otherwise and they want to cooperate with us and work with us so that we can prevent litter from accumulating on the properties. That's a that's a good thing. Um, also learned that if you're uh getting coffee at Dunkin Donuts, you you always pass by either on Cisero or Palaski, you pass by a trash receptacle. That's for you. While you're waiting for to get your coffee, you can clean up your car a little bit and uh dump some uh accumulated garbage that is in everybody's car somehow and put it in the trash cycle. That's what it's for. We appreciate that very much from Dunkin Donuts. and we're talking to some other uh businesses about that same concept. Um the uh next thing we talk about is Earth Day is April 21st and if you go on kab.org keep America beautiful. They have a whole calendar of events for April. what you can do to observe Earth month. And also on um May 2nd is our big Mars Day, our communitywide garage sale where people sell their uh used wares and for reuse and if they don't sell them, they hopefully donate them to thrift shops around. We have a new thrift shop in town uh the attic in uh Little Plaza by Walgreens. And there's also thrift shops that uh also support charities. And uh that's our biggest reuse event. Um then that's all I have for keep America beautiful. All keep middle beautiful. I think we have enough to to get going and
and uh make a good push on beautifying Mloian. Uh as my other job here for front office trustee, we are trying to fill a clerk position. um you will see an email from uh deputy clerk Harris and um she will explain what we are doing and I would like to have that on the agenda for approval uh for next week because it's the time is of of the essence here and uh that's all I have.
Thank you. Can we remind everyone out there to please pick up the uh sales flyer paper that comes out once a week and gets in your yard and pick it up and then it rains and then uh my neighbor really likes to look through the sales ads, so I don't want to get rid of them, but please pick them up. It's um they're not really good at throwing them out properly. So, I know maybe they get blown around or something. I don't know why I'm looking at you read. I know you like them. Uh um it just uh becomes a little ugly after they you know three or four again before it rains and everything. Yeah.
Thank you, sir. Uh Trustee Kraut.
Thank you, sir. Uh this evening I'd like to I I have on the agenda for discussion the Tesca and Associates proposal for consulting services related to the new TIF district. This morning we went on a tour of the new TIF district and our old tiff districts to kind of lay it out to the Tesca personnel. They were very excited. They said it, you know, that we've put a good plan together and they're excited to work with us moving forward. I just wanted to put that on for discussion today if anybody had any questions. Um there will be it we are looking because of the number of um family rentals in the area. We are probably looking at the higher end of the quote and the quote is between 35 and $42,000.
Anybody have any questions? Love it. Thank you very much. Uh Deputy Cler Harris, if you could put that on my agenda for approval next week. Thank you. That's all I have this evening, sir. Thank you, ma'am. Moving on. department head. Chief Rita,
thank you, sir. Just a couple things. U I want to say thank you first of all to all the companies that came from surrounding areas to help us. We had a structure fire on Abbottzford um at the end of last month on the 30th. Um thank you to the police department for helping us out as as always. Um unfortunately, we did suffer one injury from a firefighter had a cut hand. Um he he was released after uh treatment so he didn't spend the night in the hospital so that was good. Um and he's on the mend and we're hoping to get him back in a couple weeks when he gets those stitches out. So um we donated eight boxes today to together we cope. I want to thank everybody for donating all the perishable non-p perishable items um canned foods and things to together we cope in Tinley Park. They were extremely appreciative of it. We tried to get it there before it didn't work out. So, um they were just as happy to get it today. So, um we thank you and hopefully next year we get better with it. Uh and then once again, just a reminder for the open house on uh Saturday, April 18th. So, come on out and enjoy. It's from 10:00 to 3 and it's right here in uh station 1's parking lot if you want to come and check it out. That's all I have.
Thank you, sir. Chief delay.
Yes, sir. Just one thing. Um I wanted to recognize one of the officers for his outstanding efforts. Um on March 27th, uh one of the officers got assigned to an unresponsive male not breathing in the 15200 block of Ridgeway Avenue. Uh performed four rounds of CPR before the fire department got there. Um when the fire department got there, they began taking over treatment and they still said that they had no pulse. Uh but when they transferred them uh to the hospital, they were able to get them back. And from talking to fire chief and the nurses, they're saying that a large part due to the officer's efforts of doing the four rounds of CPR probably is what kept them stable enough to get them all the way back. Um so want to say great job to my officer and the fire crew that responded to help save that gentleman. lovely uh issuing him commendation and wanted to recognize him formally here though.
Excellent. Well done. Um takes special people to to jump in like that and perform it um correctly and sufficiently and efficiently and just I don't I don't know how you guys do it but thank you all. Thank you sir. Appreciate it. Uh, superintendent Swans.
Uh, yes, sir. Just one thing. Uh, I'd like to remind student or students, I'd like to remind residents that branch pickup has started in this in the northeast section and we'll be in that section all the way till Friday. Um, then Monday the 13th will start the southeast section. The 20th, April 20th will be the start of the southwest section and April 27th will be the last section of the northwest. And once again, we're in the section all week. So if you have any branches, go ahead and put them out. Thank you. Thank you, sir. And uh no reports tonight. Wow. Deputy Cler Harris. Nothing this evening, sir. Thank you, ma'am. Director Redmond. Nothing, sir.
Thank you, ma'am. Uh attorney, nothing. Thank you, ma'am. On my business, I have this one item.
