Planning Commission - Regular Meeting

Okay i'm Joey Edwards, are you available to cheer this meeting of the lake county planning Commission.

I there I don't have a roster in front of me, so I can try, but you might have to help me with names no worries.

Very good. I'm working my shop and I'm unprepared. All right. We will open this Monday, June 29th meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Call it to order. We will do a roll call. Let's see if I can do this. David Urich? I'm here. Jason Rufo? Here. Joey Edwards here. Heather Lind. Is. It's not here. Am I missing anybody else?

No, that is the current Planning Commission membership.

Alright, very good and. I don't see anybody from the VOCC online today.

No, and neither do we have anyone in the room with us either.

You go ahead and do a roll call of all three commissioners, and we'll go ahead and take that attendance.

We have two files on the agenda tonight. For you, our update this evening is that Lake County is in a current state of emergency. and based on that we are recommending or we have been advised by the board of county commissioners and the county manager's office and then provided guidance by the state to continue any public hearings that we have scheduled this evening and so we are bringing that information forward tonight to the planning commission and requesting a continuation of both files that were set on the agenda for July 13th. Staff has checked the calendar and roster of planning commissioners and it appears that all four commissioners are available on July 13th for that date so that we can ensure that we have a quorum to hear both files at that time.

That sounds good. Would you please remind me the two file numbers?

Yes. Have that information for you momentarily Very good Those file numbers the first one on the agenda for this evening And I'll just back up for just one moment that tonight. We were also going to introduce Anthony Actis who has an interest in serving on the Planning Commission we have talked to Anthony and he will be joining us on the 13th and And we also have received Ryan Hill's formal resignation from his appointment on the board due to conflicts that he has. So those were the other two items that we had and just an update on those. So Vice Chair, the first file that I have for you is file 2615, which is the 2026 Leadville Lake County Comprehensive Plan.

Okay. And the second file?

And the second file is file 2519, Alpenflo Group Camp CUP.

All right. We need to make motions on each of these and continue them to July 13th, correct? Correct, please. Very good. Thank you for walking me through this. I am blind this afternoon. All right. May I get a motion for file number 26-15, the 2026 Comprehensive Plan Review?

Yes. David Jurich moves to continue the public hearing for file 26-15, the 2026 Joint Leadville Lake County Comprehensive Plan. Continue that to the July 13th Planning Commission meeting.

I second that. Perfect. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Motion passes. May I get a motion for file number 25-19, the Alpenflo Group Camp CUP. Continuation to July 13th.

Um, Joey, I just wanted to mention that Sterling Mudge is in the boardroom with us. And I just wanted to open up the floor in case you wanted to share anything. Oh, absolutely. But I just didn't, since the planning commission's not here, I'm not sure they know you're here. So I just wanted to let them know.
