Joey Edwards here. Jason Marufo absent. David Urich absent. And Ryan Hill absent currently. Lake County Commissioners Elsa Tharp absent. Andrew Lee absent. Matt Bullock absent.
Looks like Jason just joined us.
Let the record reflect that Jason Marufo has joined us online.
Okay. And we are going to take a recess until 4.30 when we should have a quorum to take action on our agenda item, which is the One Community Project.
Okay.
That sounds good. Jason, can you hear us?
Yeah, I'll be available then. I just I got a new phone and I didn't have Zoom on here and I had to download it. Then I had to log in. And so sorry about that.
That's OK. Would you make a motion that we are going to recess the meeting until 420, say 420 this afternoon when we will rejoin and hope to have a quorum at 430? Sure.
I move that we. take a recess until 4.20 p.m. when we'll re-adjourn.
All right, Edwards will second. All in favor? Aye.
Aye. Just for the record, just a point of order on that particular, I don't, Chair Edwards, I don't think that we have to actually take action to just take a break until 4.30 since we wouldn't have a quorum on the motion.
Well, that's very true. Okay. Well, anyway, we satisfied Bob. So, all right. Very good. We'll see everybody back online at 420. Okay.
Very good.
Thank you. Thank you both.
Thank you. At this point, we have quorum and I will do roll call for planning commission members. Heather Lind is absent. Jason Marufo. Here. David Urich is absent. Ryan Hill? Here. And Joey Edwards is here. All right, Anne, next steps.
So tonight, we would like you to just address the file that's on the agenda, and we are requesting a continuation of this file until we have a quorum of the Board of County Commissioners, and more members of the Planning Commission present if that would please the Planning Commission.
All right, as stated, we are requesting to continue the public hearing for file number 26-25, the One Community Project Joint Comprehensive Plan to be continued to June 29th, 2026 at 4 p.m. so that we can have a quorum of both Planning Commission members and County Commissioners. Can I get a second?
I second that. Motion.
Well.
Oh, wait.
The motion. I'll take a second.
I second that.
All in favor? Aye. Aye. All right. Does that satisfy what we needed to do, Ann?
It does. Thank you all so much. Thank you for jumping on and taking care of this order of business that we had this evening. So this is great. And I also just want to give a quick shout out. I don't know Joey, if you're aware, Jason, but Ryan has, I think it's hard for him to leave us, but he has some other work commitments that have come up that would make it really hard for him to continue serving on the planning commission. So Ryan, I just haven't had an opportunity to thank you so much for volunteering on this, on the planning commission and really leaning in and participating on some really difficult files and really assisting on some other projects through the one community project and just really, really appreciate all of the time and deep consideration that you gave while you served on the planning commission. So I just wanted to extend my thank you to you and that where you're going to be missed, but we hope that you will still work with the planning department. There's a lot to be done in that action plan. So we're hoping that we can still maybe you could squeeze in a little bit of time with us here and there.
Yeah, well, thank you.
We will still push for sidewalks, right?
Yeah. And Melissa, it's been wonderful working with you guys as well as you, Joey and Jason. Really enjoyed this conversation. Yeah, it's just been crazy work picking up. And I didn't foresee this, but it's a good thing. I will really miss this. And yeah, as things come up, please feel free to ping me, tap me on the shoulder. So I just enjoyed this so, so much, just working with everyone. That sounds great.
And if you have any friends, Ryan, that are interested, we're putting an ad in the newspaper. We've got it up online. So if you know anyone who That is really itching to come and work with us. Please send them our way. We're accepting applications right now.
That sounds great. Well, thank you guys so much again.
Thanks for your flexibility today.
Yep. And at 4.35 p.m., we will adjourn this meeting. See you guys later.
