E911 Authority - Regular Meeting

All right, just for record, we're we lost our u Zoom connection after 40 minutes for some reason. Um we've been going over the agenda items in order. Um Evan beard from that. So we're just picking up now towards the end of our meeting just now catching the fact that the zoom was was cut off. All right. Any other oversight supervision stuff?

All right, move on to final item for new business is um is the budget. It's just an extension of what I said before is that we're entering the budget season for the county and um and that I'll continue my engagement there with the county communication to make sure that they're aware of what our budget's going to be, but we're going to have to start getting that onto our agenda. When is that going to be due? um around October, November is when we start looking at finalizing things. Um we usually try to get them done before um the holiday season really hits us.

I'm in a um I'm in a unique situation of course because of the intergovernment agreement. My budget is normally due and those discussions start happening now. Okay. Uh so if we if I may have requests that we put start put down but uh the uh start because it's only September October then we have to make decision either in November or in October. So it has to start in September. We're having work sessions prior to

Um, anything else on the budget you guys want me to note before I while I work on that preliminary budget? I know just new call works um for media works equipment was the only thing.

Yep. Do we need new statistics? Yep. Full stats. Yeah. 20 24 November 25th. It's um I don't remember the exact dates but it's to line up with our process. So I think it's like mid year last year to mid year this That's right. July July 1st through June through I think we're ready to start. So, can we have those for this entire meeting so we can start stuff?

The thing is though that my concern is because we got a new cast system in November and we were trying to figure it all out that might skew a little bit of things. Totally. And that's I I just have about what you have when you compare to what we have. Yeah. Yeah. And then see how close it is and it's 10 calls off. I don't care. So you'll get them from eourse and then you you know what I don't know we have access for eforce numbers. There should be a dispatch uh login. It's not we No, it isn't. We don't have the access that we did before in eforce with the B license. So you don't have access at all or just not?

We have access but not the access that I need to get those. Well, I mean, it's still got to be somewhere. So, I would email force and just see if we can get it. If it's not, I'll see where I can go to get you guys some things on how do rough numbers is fine and then you can compare if it's way off.

Okay. All right. Now we'll move on to the final item um which is discussion consideration for uh the Lake County renewal proposal for Motorola Solutions for um the software for Media Works um which includes the system and the uh support. So the uh amount due was $19,40. Um this is a continuation of the contract. This is something that we're uh braced for. We just need to approve this to keep that contract going. And so, um, this dating back from May when they initially sent this to us. We're a little backed up and again, it expires on August 31st. So, we'd like to get this approved and signed so we can continue that service with them. This wasn't budget, correct?

I believe so. I I thought this was an item that the county did in the process of when you all got the CAT system, everything. I thought this was part of that. initial contract because I believe Kayla signed it. That's what I I see what you're saying. Um I think you're referencing the overall um

and that's Yeah, you're I think you're referencing the new Motorola equipment that the county purchased that included the software. Um this this is um I can we're continuing it under and that was before the authority board. That's why Kayla signed it. Um so this is now our responsibility. Okay. Yeah. As a new as a new contract kind of right. Well, let me say as long as the shirt's a budgeted item, I'm fine with it. 20 $20,000 extra. We need other things,

right? And then I I guess my hesitation right now is if there's a contract signature required, then that's a new contract that we have. If it's listed in Lake County, it's transitioning to E911. That's that's not what this is. I think you got the initial what they sent on there. Yeah, it's just a three-pager with Exactly. page. Um, yeah, cuz it's it's showing Lake County as the purchases. Yeah.

Yes. Yeah, Lake County. So, I think I think we have to hold on this. So, let's let's if this is uh so I need to reach out to him and see what that looks like for that transition. Um, and if we have to, just heads up, we may may do a special meeting on this just to make a quick decision on this if we have to do this like within the next week or two. See enough. Uh, and I'm we should check with legal just in case, but I'm pretty sure we can do an email vote. Okay. Something like that as well. Okay, great. As long as there's cool that we sent an email, you have signing power.

Okay. Chief signing power either way. Um, I can just get it done that way. But as long as record of all of us voting on it by email, I think that's okay. Let's check with Okay, we want it. But I that would be way easier to try and schedule up especially for one.
