Hello, everyone. Welcome to a special meeting in the Lake County Board of County Commissioners. It's June 30th at 1230 p.m. One and only item on the agenda today is ratification and declaration of local disaster emergency for the Willow Fire. This will be led by Candace Grimes, our county manager.

0:23 – 1:21Speaker 2

So, on Sunday evening at 7.07 p.m., I declared a local disaster emergency for the Willow Fire and this is just that declaration. It was signed the day it happened and we have to ratify this by you all within seven days of the declaration and then get it recorded. This recorded document, once ratified, allows us to draw down on different resources so some of the expenditures we're having can be recouped through state and or federal dollars and that is why we went ahead and made that declaration as it seemed at that point we were going to have to request some resources and we have and so I went ahead and made that call so we could recoup some of those costs so I'm asking if you all will ratify this document
