Two: Ms. Sudak? Here.

0:170

Ms. Hebner? Here. Mr. Powers?

0:211

Ms. Snyder? Here.

0:220

Ms. Here. Weipart? Here. Mr. O'Keefe?

0:291

All right. So next

0:323

item on

0:331

the agenda is approval of last meeting's minutes. I'll make a motion to approve.

0:394

I second.

0:401

All in favor? Aye. All opposed? Beautiful. Next order, old business, which is the selection of the wings.

0:50 – 1:245

Yeah, so the wings are things. So for the people who are new, we came up with this idea, because we're doing a mural at thank you. Words. And we submitted this to a bunch of the schools, and we let students come up with the idea and you guys this is crazy. Like I'm so excited actually. I know, Glenn, look at this. Because I was like, did it work? Don't know. This is our idea was to throw it out, see how many people did it and so this Really? Is literally It worked.

1:25 – 1:495

So I know when we were talking about this before, we were saying that we could do kind of like a workshop maybe, sort of like a subcommittee where some of us that are available could come in to go through these. I'm happy to do that with someone. If someone wants to do that with me, I'm happy to take them home and go through it. I mean, whatever you guys want to do, I definitely don't think we should tackle this this evening.

1:502

Goal to have with Earth Day coming up this next week,

1:546

was the

1:542

goal to have it finalized?

1:565

It was to announce it. That was our goal.

1:592

But what about up the board members, coming up with their three

2:076

Top three.

2:085

Oh, love that.

2:092

And then coming back and then kind of reduce it by that.

2:135

Okay, that sounds good. Can we do a workshop, a sidebar shop

2:201

for a special meeting?

2:220

Are we going to have time by Tuesdays?

2:245

That's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's where I'm

2:260

we have Friday and Monday.

2:275

So what's the

2:28 – 2:452

If we divvy it up and then maybe scan or email all the tests that the particular individual reviewing likes their final results. Then we compile those and then maybe distribute them back out electronically. So that way we can come up with a finalist.

2:465

That's fine. And then we everyone would have to vote on through email.

2:522

Yeah. It would be yeah. Could be we we reduce it down to the final five or whatever. Go from there.

3:012

And then we could maybe just limit that, and then every other seven, we can vote it and then come up with

3:06 – 3:191

Because it doesn't have to be announced till the twenty fifth, correct? Is when Edge Fest is? Yeah. Because Earth Day is Not this Saturday. Right. Because Earth Day is Wednesday, next Wednesday. No.

3:192

It's it's it's Saturday. Representation.

3:211

I know. But it's the Saturday after that. Yeah. Yes. Not this Saturday in the fall.

3:255

Right. Okay.

3:262

We can get everything maybe finalized by midweek next week. That's the

3:352

Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

3:405

Yep. And then we announce it. The idea is to bring those at the event.

3:465

Okay. Okay. Does anyone feel like that's a rush timeline? Or do we want

3:510

to wait?

3:515

Are we good? Okay. So does anyone want to volunteer to take one of the envelopes?

3:551

I'd be happy to take the option.

3:565

All right. Here we go.

4:051

Will. Yeah. You have a ton right there.

4:075

Let's see. This is

4:091

Flip that one up some. Yeah.

4:115

Alright. Yeah. Because it felt like

4:131

because you she didn't get any and

4:155

I don't have any This is clearly an art teacher.

4:186

That's all. Preston.

4:191

Doesn't at

4:205

this great.

4:371

It'd be a 100 foot murals. I don't know.

4:392

What's that?

4:400

Is it a conflict of interest if you know most of the kids?

4:432

Wouldn't. So collectively, it's coming back as feel

4:470

a trade? I do want it. So we'll pick out the best

4:516

how many and resubmit them?

4:525

Yeah. What do you think? How many?

4:544

Yeah. We're not doing the new space show. Why does Yeah.

4:575

Okay. How do you guys feel about that picking out your top three unless there's really like a fourth? Okay.

5:110

Oh, yeah. Okay.

5:125

Sorry about that. I

5:131

think she's going to

5:142

give me even more.

5:161

How many packs do

5:164

you have?

5:170

I have one, two, three, four, five.

5:203

I'll save one.

5:215

Yeah, I think that's a great idea.

5:221

I have three. If you want to give her two, then she'll have three. You all have three. You

5:286

do honorable mentions in her second

5:302

and third.

5:305

Yeah, I mean, we could.

5:330

Tiffany, Good. Great idea.

5:341

Who has

5:356

to do the first email?

5:361

Or do we just

5:372

Everybody

5:405

has to park So

5:412

city of February email.

5:435

Yeah. We have to email

5:452

Your three final.

5:465

You. What's your name again?

5:484

Katie. Katie.

5:511

Are we picking by eight? Right. No, but the three year olds.

5:545

As far as what they're saying for Sunshine Law, it has to come from you guys, and then we respond to it. We can't initiate that email.

6:022

Your Voting.

6:055

The voting of the yeah, the voting.

6:082

Okay. So we have to send out an email.

6:100

Yeah. She knows. Okay. All right.

6:132

We'll send out an email requesting your final three.

6:165

Yeah. You'll

6:172

respond with your final three. We'll collaborate every

6:205

No. No. I'm sorry. After the final three are given to you for us to vote on those

6:236

final Okay. So send it.

6:255

Yeah. Yeah. That email

6:263

has to

6:265

come final. I'm sorry. Final three. No. No. No. I'm so sorry. Yes.

6:302

Yeah. Yes.

6:315

Vote. Absolutely. Okay, cool. All right. All right. Awesome. Yay. That's exciting.

6:39 – 7:024

SPEAKER I'm the same roundabout subject, but I've got something that everybody can look up later. It's an idea. I don't know how much it would cost. But I'm sure that one of you probably have heard of those egg tulips, those Yeah. The seeds and all that coming in.

7:02 – 7:284

I saw a beautiful display that somebody put up of the entire butterfly in colors by the tulips. And when you put those tulips in the ground, they don't shift. The tulips always stand up straight and all that stuff. And it's just a shape of the butterfly in the grass, cut out the grass, put the tulip cuffs in. They grow, they're all straight.

7:28 – 7:494

And the colors, you can change the colors depending on what part of the butterfly it's going to be. It's just something you look at I think it was butterfly I don't know. Could probably look it up and see. But it was those little tulip eggs. Is that what you call them?

7:490

It was an egg bulb. No, they're egg cartons that are cardboard. And you just put them in there so that they die, and then they come back every year in the same spot,

7:584

though. Yeah.

7:593

Yeah. But

8:014

it it was just outstanding picture.

8:035

It was pretty cool. It'd be cool for

8:040

the butterfly garden area or something for future stuff.

8:11 – 8:291

So we can move on to new business? Or do we need to vote on how we decided to do the wings? I don't think so, right? Because we're not voting on anything Okay. So the new business beautification award.

8:315

I do have a question, because we only had I don't think we got any new ones in. Is that correct?

8:425

we didn't get any residential in. That's what I

8:456

was going to ask, because I know

8:471

I'm just new to the party here.

8:486

But I was going to ask, is it residential business only, or it just very vague when I was reading it.

8:525

Yep, you can do either one. There's some

8:556

houses down Riverside Drive that I have noticed they've been doing some remodeling. Remember

9:002

we did the award not

9:01 – 9:165

to Yep. Yep. I was looking at the photos today, was like, oh my god. They listed them all on the website, so you can always check that out. I know that we had closed we have two signs, correct?

9:162

We do. We typically do a commercial and a residential.

9:195

Right, but this time we didn't get a residential.

9:222

You recommended a residential the last time.

9:255

The last time. Jim

9:261

Perry. Thirtieth of yeah.

9:275

So and I know that that one is coming out, right?

9:342

Correct. We pull them

9:35 – 10:055

No matter what. So I have another I've already filled out the form and everything. I know that it's closed. But since we have two, and we only have one person that submitted, I have a business that I'd like to bring forward to the committee to see if that's something that you guys would be interested in recognizing them, because they've put a bunch of work into their property. And that's the Coastal Corner and the Naughty Juice Cafe.

10:05 – 10:335

Have you seen that? So it's actually two businesses, but they're located in the same spot. I don't know if that's something and if it's not something that we want to approve at this meeting, then I'd like to just submit this and table it for the next time. But I think what they've done is awesome. I mean, it's really beautiful over there. And we could recognize two businesses that are really trying to help make the area look better. Like, painted all the out front, and they did it nice. They added a new business.

10:332

I just want to verify and make sure that we don't have a resume.

10:395

Okay. Sure.

10:432

Don't want to skip anybody.

10:451

Yeah. I didn't sign this up.

10:466

Was there

10:463

a deadline up?

10:471

Yeah. April 1.

10:486

Yeah. Because I went to submit a residential and was like, well,

10:531

I didn't really find

10:545

Oh, you did? Okay. So then way too late. Well, see, I'm late too, and I'm bringing it to the table. So maybe we just keep this one.

11:012

We'll do the commercial and

11:020

then we'll

11:032

revisit the next meeting and see if I want to make certain that we don't have any residential

11:075

Got it.

11:115

Usually we do it. We just didn't get any So submissions this

11:156

is it too late to nominate the person for residential? Or is that, like, kind of closed right now?

11:20 – 11:420

Can we make a motion to extend? Because I feel like not seeing these, I think it'd be a great idea. And that way we can really give everybody a chance. I also think it'd be a great idea moving forward, even if people don't get accepted, to say, hey, look, thanks for your participation. I want to let you know you were nominated. Keep it up for next year. Maybe we'll draw you again and things like that. But right now, we had a ton of people that their yards froze. They had to fully redo their landscape.

11:425

So I think if we put it out

11:430

again to say, did you qualify for the beautification recognition, I think that would maybe go somewhere.

11:490

Also, quick, side note, I think it would be nice to take a second to notice the new do we have a time in the meeting that we notice or acknowledge new members to just say, like, welcome?

11:582

Oh, yeah.

11:591

I probably should have

11:590

done that. Think that was like

12:011

I don't in the meeting. Talked to me. I think

12:036

you told me was

12:031

a good one. It part of new business to me.

12:050

Yeah. Okay. So welcome.

12:073

Thank you.

12:086

I just talked to everybody, I just feel like I already know you also, but hi. Yes.

12:155

Love that.

12:153

SPEAKER Yeah.

12:165

SPEAKER So do you want to take that? Well,

12:22 – 12:371

yeah, but I guess my question would be, we do it three times a year, correct? So are we wanting to just open the window a little bit longer because it's not being announced till May 30 anyway? Or do we want to

12:372

wait We

12:391

planned And it's usually close to summer because it's close to the end of the year. The

12:472

next rec board meeting. I

12:515

like that idea. And then you guys can both submit yours, and we can have, like, a real pool of places to

12:596

Should we email just ParksandRec@CityofEdgewater? Yes. Yes. Okay.

13:051

Parkscityofedgewater dot org.

13:076

Parks at?

13:07 – 13:251

Yeah. It's right here. You have one of these in your stack, so it'll be on there. It's the same one we're emailing for the week. Good. Okay. And then my other question will be, do we need to, like, advertise on, like, social media or whatever that we're extending the date?

13:252

I will have RPI on

13:271

that. Okay.

13:310

That's a great idea.

13:321

So do we want to try to schedule next meeting now so we know or just deal with it once we do schedule it?

13:392

What was the previous meeting? February 18?

13:571

So would we want to delay when we're going to announce it then? Because it was going to be announced May 30.

14:032

Well, obviously, we would have a meeting by then, I wouldn't think.

14:080

We could do a workshop meeting.

14:113

Just We

14:112

could do a workshop prior to that.

14:140

Or vote by email, like you said, with these.

14:162

Submit everything and maybe get all and maybe sparse it out.

14:221

I'll say or just

14:22 – 14:342

As as we get responses for who's submitting, obviously, you guys submit it or if you have a resident submit, however you want to do that.

14:353

Was the only submission? Yes. Out of the whole city?

14:385

Yes. And it's not always like that. It's just this time it is.

14:436

So my question is oh,

14:441

I'm so sorry.

14:456

My question is I'm going say it's her. Could it be anybody in

14:505

the community? Anybody. It doesn't have to

14:536

just be us that nominates. And you go to

14:545

No, absolutely. Anybody. It's usually

14:571

included in the newsletter That's that gets emailed

15:00 – 15:366

where I kind of want to join the board, because I feel this beautification award is something for my mom's generation, but older. I feel that the younger crowd don't know about this, so I think maybe we get the word out and try to pull younger people, maybe their taste, and to get them involved. Lauren, is there stuff on the like, I didn't really see it on the Facebook page. I guess you got it dig for it either about the Beau Vacation. We're told, you know, I thought it went away because I know I'm learning that Facebook is where everybody sees every. Every customer I have now, I saw you on Facebook.

15:37 – 16:122

A great idea that we need to do is probably between now and obviously either A, the workshop or the next meeting, whatever, to decide on, have this generated. Now that we have a new CIO, if you notice, the city and I'm trying to go in the direction for it, we've got a dedicated CIO officer that's creating a strong presence in the social media. And then today, talk about ghosts or tortoises. It's been a spotlight on each department. There's been positive news about the city that people, like you just said to yourself, you didn't know it existed.

16:126

I thought like So just

16:12 – 16:482

heard her job is to make sure that the public knows it exists, Bringing more notice to the younger crowd or new generation that's coming into town or people that are buying a home. Is this something you take pride in? You could get nominated. I met Tiffany nominated a gentleman that provides benches and spot for children catch a bus in the corner there. He had like a tree house. I mean, the guys spent a lot of time in the yard. We want to recognize that. Mhmm. Because that's the flip side of a food enforcement case. You want people to take pride. Like, that's

16:481

a good

16:482

That's of money, and it's a lot of time invested.

16:513

So And

16:522

maybe we get the PI officer to kinda maybe do spotlight on the beautification.

16:576

And we're allowed to reshare that post and go, hey, guys, pay attention to this. Nominate your neighbors. Nominate your aunts.

17:015

Yeah. Well, I mean, also want to post it on your own as well.

17:053

I want see people who don't spend

17:066

a million dollars on their yard. Not a lot of people have a ton to spend on their yard. So just some people who upkeep it, like, just get somebody who's nominated, too. That'd be great.

17:13 – 17:492

And that goes through the same things that we said for the holiday decorations. People to make because we have the same folks that spend a ton of time and effort and money into their properties. The gentleman on Victory every year, right? Victory and Third, he's an electrician. And the guy goes all out. We know that. But the people that are coming to town that are taking pride in making it known that we do have these awards, we do have these prizes, and we do have recognition for their hard work.

17:49 – 18:106

I mean, my heart's with anybody does the artwork. I had to do it Monday, I seriously kept saying I was going to die. And I heard the ambulance off in the background. Was like, do they know my silent cries right now? I've got scratches all over me from out there. So I think more people should be noticed for their hard work, for their personal problems. But like I said, I think a lot people thought maybe this award disappeared over the years. So I think getting the word out would also help out.

18:102

Yeah, we have social media and the CIO who can probably bring more recognition to it and hopefully get some people that are nominating their names, nominating their friends, nominating this.

18:201

So, like, we just mentioned that the freeze hit a lot of yards really hard. So do you want to

18:242

season, they could take advantage of the fact that the proof that they've done will mature and flourish.

18:311

So, like, rather than rushing to have it announced by May 30 aspects, why not wait and just announce it on, like, June 30 or something after the next meeting? Right.

18:476

You negotiate a motion?

18:51 – 19:040

Make a motion to push off the announcement of the Beautification Awards and further run the contest to a later deadline, though. What's the later deadline, June 1? And then announce it June 30?

19:042

Well, we'd have to coordinate the next meeting. Meeting. Do you have the calendar for the council meeting? We can look and see what we're looking for everybody because now that we have more members,

19:260

I drove back from Orlando to your comp to be with you guys today, and I have to drive back to Orlando tonight. So just know that I love you.

19:325

Aw, thank you.

19:390

Everybody make sure you tag Jason if

19:411

you find it to see you from.

19:51 – 20:332

There's a lot of improvement, like I say, the direction before that some people don't understand what's kind of happening. There's a lot of talk on social media. She was involved in it. And people were bringing up topics that we don't know exist because they don't hear or see the meeting. And they're not realizing that we do have plans for a community garden that's going be integrated into a park. And hey, there's people who like, I want to do this. And you're like, wait a minute. And she's the voice of the board, in essence, saying, we talked about this. This is what's going the question. You guys personally don't know that, but this is what we're looking to do. This is what's going be implemented. And I'll go further into it as we do that.

20:331

Okay. So Haley, we know a motion. Do we

20:355

have a second? I'll second.

20:37 – 20:480

We're waiting for a date. It's the only thing. So it's just taking a second to counter, because the motion will have to solidify the dates. No question. June? Okay. So it looks like what day of the week do we usually try to meet? Wednesdays?

20:482

Wednesdays. It's been Thursday now. But Wednesdays

20:511

are a Thursday. Those things are awful.

20:530

It looks like we have evenings, the seventeenth and the June 24, if we want to

20:582

On a Wednesday?

20:590

On Wednesdays, yeah. That

21:051

was just me.

21:065

Seventeenth and the twenty fourth, they're both open for me. Same.

21:120

I prefer the seventeenth, if anybody doesn't care.

21:156

It's May? June.

21:170

This is for June. What

21:205

time? Would it be? 05:30. The

21:246

seventeenth?

21:25 – 21:440

Yeah. Everybody go with that? Okay. So I make a motion to, I guess, set our next meeting for June 17 at 05:30PM. We will be tabling the cutoff beautification for residential and commercial properties or just residential?

21:452

Yeah, we can I mean, we do have the one candidate, but we can award both at the same time?

21:490

Okay. So we'll table residential and commercial beautification awards, the deadline for June 1, the announcement on June 30, decided on our seventeenth meeting.

21:595

And I'll second that.

22:01 – 22:151

All in favor? Aye. All opposed? Beautiful. That passes. So is there any other new business before we move to public comments?

22:17 – 22:365

I just want to say that the wings not the wings, the beautification stuff needs to get updated online. I want to make sure those dates are updated. So I don't know, Jason, the best way to make sure that happens. Because like the form that's already done, now that we're changing the date, it just needs to be updated online. That reflects the new date.

22:441

And also advertise it on social media, because I did look

22:492

it up, and it does

22:501

like, went

22:512

to ours.

22:521

So perfect.

23:202

No, we're retrapping.

23:226

Oregon Trail.

23:24 – 23:401

All right. So public comments? Thanks for coming. Okay. So then next item is discussion items, your report.

23:40 – 24:162

So to kind of go inside what really were going through on Facebook, they were asking me garden. Last time I reported, we we budgeted to improve Grovery Park. So what has transpired is, obviously, we've gotten Menard made here replaced and taking advantage of the fact that contractors were in town and the cost savings. We had some bids last year that were pretty high for the replacement of veterans. We did an inspection and it was really, really, really bad shape.

24:16 – 25:012

We did some structural emergency repairs, but it would have had to have been shut down. So taking advantage of the fact that the contractor is here in town, taking the fact that we built the bid and do his honoring to align with what we did for Menard, we were able to save a $150,000 by utilizing him in town. And not to mention, we were able to the vision we shot prior with wood. We were able to upgrade to that roof decking, that decking which lets sunlight through for seagrasses and and and not to mention maintenance friendly for our department and the fact that it does let water protrude through it. So a rising tide, storms Nice.

25:012

It's it's I don't know if you've had a chance to go out to Menard Park. It's that appears awesome. Those guys did a great job. Awesome. We were able to capitalize on the fact that that group was in town.

25:11 – 25:572

So I took the the funding, and we did a budget amendment. City council approved it to where we could utilize those funds and and capitalize on the fact that that group was in town and get veterans fixed. So we are going to rebudget rotary for this coming year for those repairs. So the piers are new, replaced, upgraded, and would be more probably maintenance friendly for us in the future. So that said, we are looking to still do what we anticipated at rotary with the playground upgrade, shade structure upgrade, utilizing it to incorporate a community garden type, kids garden type facade, if you would.

25:57 – 26:372

So that's what we're looking to do. We have the birthday event coming up for the Earth Day event. So that's gonna be something. And then we had our Easter extravaganza, which is big, and we had a ton of kids. It was it was awesome to see a lot of kids happy out of because, actually, I think helped us.

26:37 – 27:042

Mhmm. So yeah. So it was great. You know? And and I'd like to see that, you know, if you guys can help us at the Earth Day event. If you're here, we We're always looking for people. For the July, we signed the agreement to fireworks, so that's going forward. So we're looking to do some ribbon cutting for Veterans Park will be Monday. They're going to be done with veterans tomorrow.

27:043

So this Monday?

27:055

At what time?

27:085

you know? Is it like ten

27:105

I think they're usually ten Okay. Try to be there. No. That's that one where we did. Veterans is

27:181

gonna No. Be

27:192

That's Menard. It's 442. Yeah.

27:226

That's that one. Yeah.

27:225

Okay. The little one.

28:400

Great. May I give them do you think it's Okay to give them a copy of the list just so they can review it for

28:462

Copies of the list?

28:47 – 29:180

I was prepared. What do you think? Okay. So I have copies. We're not going to discuss it tonight. And this is stuff Jason has all kind of addressed. Some of it's already in motion. But this is just kind of feedback that I was getting from people in the community of things they want. Not saying we don't already have it. Like, of these things is already saying, like, can we get a amphitheater? Like, we already kind of have one. So some of the stuff is just comment feedback. You know what I mean? So I'm like, well, this is city. Maybe Well,

29:182

was going comment on that.

29:21 – 29:382

As we grow, I think and I can't say that this is definitely going happen. I think the vision is to grow in city hall, potentially things out there. We're looking at kind of a city center type city hall where we have an amphitheater out there. Maybe do fireworks, maybe

29:383

do Okay.

29:405

Where? Off of 442?

29:422

Yeah, we bought the property on 442.

29:445

Great, Okay.

29:45 – 29:582

We own that. That's where fire station is going. So I think the goal is to ultimately go in the direction design wise. I don't think we're there yet, but those are all things that feedback

30:12 – 30:240

I think it's good to know, though, too, is that where are we missing letting people know this stuff exists? Because if we have something that can be used for those things, like what do they want it for, are they aware that it's city owned or whatever?

30:25 – 31:002

Well, like you said, I'm the CIO officer. She's trying to get something in motion, kind of like a she mentioned something by the name like fluid or flow or something. It was something kind of put together where it would have a lot of our inner workings of our city, parks, bike trails, things that if somebody was to relocate here and didn't know I mean, when we say when our main peers open, people are like, is that Little Beach? Everybody knows Little Beach. You're a citizen. You're like, is that the park at the end of ocean? You don't know if I'm an ocean?

31:006

No, I know by streets.

31:01 – 31:172

Yep. Exactly. So connecting all those and kind of compiling it in one location and kind of creating a cheat sheet, if you will, for a citizen that wasn't here is kind of, I think, what she's looking to do. So it'd be kind of cool to see that come to fruition.

31:175

I think this list is awesome, and it's going to be really great for your new hire, because this is like a lot of great ideas.

31:256

I think number 10 could be a lot. Just maybe Yeah, for your new hire.

31:275

For the new I forget the name. I don't know. What is the public information officer's name?

31:332

It's Courtney. Her name is Courtney.

31:355

Courtney. Your new hire, Courtney.

31:371

I will tell her

31:383

I think

31:385

it would be great, because this is a lot of

31:410

Good feedback.

31:420

Yeah, I think so.

31:432

Good to have feedback.

31:450

Of course.

31:462

It's great, Especially if there are things in motion that are mentioned here in some sort of way that you could go, hey, this

31:521

is what

31:535

Like we do that. Are.

31:552

This is in motion, or we do have an amphitheater.

31:580

Or it's in motion anyway.

31:592

Yeah. So to the I mean, you're driving in US1, We all know it's there to go to wine so you see it. But to the average person, they may not know that it exists.

32:075

SPEAKER Yeah. Or that the city will work with you to throw an event. It's accessible. Perfect word. It's very accessible. It

32:172

could be reserved. It could be utilized for corporate, public, private.

32:231

SPEAKER

32:235

Yeah, this is great.

32:261

So next is board reports. So do you have anything else? Do we just want to go this way? I

32:365

don't have anything.

32:371

I don't have anything either.

32:380

Yeah, that's

32:392

it. I just want to welcome you to more members.

32:416

Yes. Okay.

32:413

Thank you.

32:441

So we've already scheduled our next meeting.

32:476

Ideas, when are we going to is this ideas, is something we're going to start on?

32:521

What is this?

32:522

She said she didn't do it all.

32:54 – 33:230

So this kind of just came from, like, said, I put out in the community, like, what kind of feedback. So then, like, to find out what people say. And then so I think each of us can brainstorm. And maybe I brought this to the table. Like, maybe somebody will be like, hey, I want to kind of spearhead that. Just like, you know, Tiffany kind of spearheaded the wings. And then look how good it's already turned out very quickly. So if there's any action items that people are like, I can work on this right now, like a video blog or something like that, or putting together an entrepreneur day, or things like that.

33:231

Well, I will say, a lot of the stuff on here

33:26 – 33:432

I can't remember the mayor wanted to he was highlighting a local business. I don't know. It's not necessarily an entrepreneur day, but it was capitalizing and highlighting a local business like you did Big O Bar a while back. Yeah. Something along that line.

33:430

So this is for kids. Like, have you seen the one in Daytona?

33:451

I feel like the pitch?

33:460

Yeah. Daytona, right? Where they go along

33:491

I know Volusia County Schools does it. Like, there's a huge competition that does it.

33:520

Yeah. The pitch. Yeah. So I saw that online, I'm like, that's a great idea. Basically, we could take the park

33:572

Like, shark tank for kids.

33:580

Yeah. And they go in, and, like, every kid gets to set up their own lemonade stand or whatever. We always

34:02 – 34:142

My daughter does it for FFA. They have to create this product or something and show the process of how it could be profitable or Yeah. Get what you're saying.

34:141

I think

34:14 – 34:310

it'd be great, though, for we have a lot of entrepreneur families in the community. If those kids can learn that that's how you build a business and get out there and get the skills of talking to people. So those are things that I think would be cool. But again, if anybody wants to pioneer any of these individually that don't put more work on Jason's plate, because he does have a lot going on, that would be great.

34:31 – 34:466

I am trying to get a bike club together, like a group that can meet once a month. They have to do something different, whether it's ride a trail or work on a bike or do a fundraiser or something. I just think I have a lot also. Yes. Go with what

34:46 – 35:011

you said. I know you said a lot of this was feedback, but it just goes to reiterate that we need to get word out more. Because a ton of this stuff we've already had discussions about and tried to get up and going, like the history day, the

35:012

It's getting

35:011

the the word disc golf course, the Don't get in history, wanted

35:052

to say this because your mom was brought up in this.

35:091

Because she's real old.

35:102

No, I'm doing a the city is doing a joint agreement with the Daughters of the Revolution.

35:171

Daughters of the American Revolution. Daughters

35:29 – 35:532

making it a water feature, landscaping it. So kind of focusing on that clothing and I wouldn't bring that up. Sorry, not in the direction of court, but it's a part of our department and we're going be utilizing our maintenance guys in a little bit of it and trying to help that group with that project. And there's also the historian Shannon. She's on that as well. She's working through with trying to get the money from Doctor. Hawkins.

35:53 – 36:091

And do we know if she was ever able to get ahold of all the stuff that the one librarian had taken home? Like, I don't know if you remember that, but they came in, and they were like, there was all this stuff that used be at the Edgewater Library. Where did it go? And so we were like, check with the librarian, because I can't imagine any librarian being like, yeah, just throw that away.

36:09 – 36:410

So I have talked with both of them, and they at this point, it's still in a positive direction, but it's more that we don't have room in the current space to display more historic items. And then the owner of those historic items is still in possession of them, and it's kind of just overwhelming to handle all of that at once. So there's just a lot. So I think have Shannon's contact if somebody wants to get back with her. I know she wanted to talk with your mom, too, or Ms. Hutchinson. So I think we could get them back together. They're just kind of like, what are we going to do with this when we get done? They don't really know what's next.

36:43 – 37:243

I know this is from the Parker rec department, but going with the Daughters of the American Revolutions on May 8, Friday, May 8 at AM. That's The PGI Riders, which I'm a part of, we are bringing the Vietnam Wall and the global wall on terrorism to AMVETS. We're having a veteran stand down to get resources. And I would like to try to get everybody to come and support. So I just wanted to put it up there.

37:244

Is that the same mall that we had at SPEAKER Park. SPEAKER Hawks Park? Yeah, that was nice.

37:30 – 37:553

SPEAKER Yeah, we made that. Our state captain and my husband made that. It's updated with every new, especially the global wars updated with the ones we lost recently. And we do honor the Gold Star family members. Garrison Isis is a very big supporter of us. Kept lieutenant Dan.

37:564

And you were printing out the if somebody came up with a particular name, you were printing out the We

38:012

print out

38:02 – 38:463

it shows the more they died. Now, to be on the wall, they have to have died on boots on the ground. If they died over here, it don't count. And it shows what branch they were in, all the honors received and medals. And that's for the family to take home. And we escort them to the wall. And a lot of times and the police chief and my husband and I have an understanding these Vietnam vets and the global war Gulf War vets will come, and they will sit there, have a beer, smoke a joint, cry. That's what they did in Nang. Come on now. Alright.

38:46 – 39:303

Alright. They don't shoot heroin and all that stuff. I'm a retired ICU nurse. I deal with a lot of veterans. You know? They're not popping pills. And they usually only have one, and they split it among but it does it happens once in a blue moon. But it's healing wall. So maybe you guys can come. And who knows? They might not even bring a beer. Former military dogs show up. They almost seem to know where the name is. And a lot of our young parents have brought their kids to teach them history, which is really cool.

39:316

Okay, I'm done. Cool.

39:330

Thank you for sharing.

39:363

Thank you.

39:401

Anybody else? So we already have our next meeting scheduled. So then nobody has anything else. Meeting adjourned at 06:14.
