City Council - Special Meeting

Okay. Sure is good. Okay. It's 6:30 in the evening on March 31st. I'm calling this special city council meeting to order. Um, Mr. Casey, would you give us a prayer, please?

and we have a quorum. Council member, we got two items discussed tonight. First one is resolution 202617. Madam clerk, could you read the title, please? A resolution accepting CTI Inc. as the low bidder to complete the ward water and sewer vacuum sewer replacement project authorizing and appropriating funds and authorizing the mayor and/or city clerk to sign appropriate documents for the project.

Council, this is the long worked up project for removal of a um the vacuum lines. Just as a matter of information on your screens is the bid amount and the amount that we got in ADC grant which mean the city share is $4,743. Uh the grant or the the U bid came in lower than expected. So that was good. So that plays into the next resolution that we'll talk about. But for this particular resolution, I'd entertain I'd open it for open the floor for discussion hearing. Any public comment? Okay. Um, I mean, again, which areas is this taken off again?

It takes all the remaining vacuum lines off. They're they're all over the city. Takes all the way all the remaining structures off of the vacuum. Gets us totally out of it. I make a motion we accept. A resolution rejecting financial assistance from the Arkansas Natural Resources Division and authorizing the mayor andor city clerk to sign the appropriate documents needed to reject the loan.

Council, if you remember, we did get a $761,000 loan from 80 for this uh particular project. We don't need it. We have reserves to take care of this. I'd entertain open floor discussion.
