City Council - Special Meeting

Well, Vallejo is a great place to live and work. For many of us, we lived in Vallejo and we drove outside the county for many years and we realized that we were really missing an opportunity to remain in the county and put our tax dollars to work here in the county. And so many of us are now working in Solano County and remaining, having our homes in Vallejo. It's a great place to live. When we talk about a diverse community, when we talk about bilingual, bicultural employees, we're talking about Vallejo.

This town has an incredible heritage of patriotism.

All right, everyone, I'm going to go ahead and call us to order at 6.01 p.m. We have fixed. Nope, we are not. Just kidding. All right, take two, good afternoon. I'm gonna go ahead and call to order our special meeting of the Vallejo City Council at 6.01 p.m. I'll ask our city clerk to call the roll, please.

Palmares. Present. I will note for the record, Council Members Letitu and Matias are currently absent.

And Council Member Matias is in the building. So we will go ahead and open up public comment for anyone wishing to address Council on our closed session items this evening. And while we let that timer roll, I'll ask our City Attorney to announce our closed session items.

Thank you, Madam Mayor. The City Council will meet this evening in closed session with regard to the following items. Conference with Labor Negotiators Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6. The agency designated representative is Stephanie Sufuentes, the Human Resources Director. The employee organizations are the Vallejo Police Officers Association, the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1186, Confidential Administrative Managerial Professional Association, CAMP, and unrepresented employees. Item B, conference with real property negotiators pursuant to government code section 54956.8. The property is 285 Mare Island Way. The agency negotiator, Gillian Hayne, assistant city manager, Brad Paul, interim economic development director. The negotiating parties, Wendy Stevenson and Monique Mitchell, under negotiation, price and terms of payment of lease. And finally, item C, conference with legal counsel anticipated litigation, significant exposure to litigation pursuant to government code section 54956.9 D2, two cases.
