City Council - Special Meeting

Go ahead and call the meeting to order. Uh the um special close session meeting at 502. Um Don, if you could please do roll call. Vice Mayor Matulik present. Council members Bendzer present. Gordon present. Paul Maris present. I will note for the record, Mayor Source is absent as well as council members Letu and Mats.

Okay. Manny, please start the two-minute clock. Um, at the conclusion of the two-minute, uh, anyone wishing to address the council regarding the items on the closed session agenda must either um have signed up uh to address the council through the electronic uh uh speakers kiosk or raise their hand virtually if they are participating via Zoom. Uh, chief assistant uh Oh. Oh. City Attorney Neb, could you please announce the close session items?

Thank you, Mr. Vice Mayor. Members of the council, the city council will meet this evening in close session with regard to the following items. Conference with legal council existing litigation pursuant to government code section 54956.9D1. There are two cases um Takai DBA cigarette city versus the city of Valleo case number as listed on the agenda and Himyat Hotaki DBA cigarettes for less and check cashing versus the city of Alleo case number as listed on the agenda. Item C, conference with legal council existing litigation pursuant to government code section 54956.9D1. Case Madkins versus the city of Valo. Case name uh number as listed on the agenda. Conference with labor negotiators pursuant to government code section 54957.6. The agency designated representatives. Um at this point it would be uh Nolongo Connelly. Yeah, sorry. Um, so there's a change to the agenda since Mr. Murray is absent this evening. And Stephanie Squenthis, human resources director, the employee organizations, Fileo Police Officers Association, the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1186, Confidential, Administrative, Managerial, Professional Association, and Unrepresented Employees. Um item uh pursuant to government code section 54957B public employee employment title city manager. Item F conference with legal council anticipated litigation significant exposure to litigation pursuant to government code section 54956.9D2 cases and conference with legal counsel threat of litigation. So that would be significant exposure to litigation pursuant to government code section 54956.9D21
