Mr. Mayor, members of the council, the LDFA in issuing the bonds to complete the project two, the tower and pump station project at the industrial site, divided the question into two issues to determine when our final numbers would come in. So this is just the second part of the original obligation. It is not more than was anticipated. It is a second section of the bond, so this is a supplemental issue that has been approved by the Local Development Finance Authority. Bonds in series to be repaid back in a very short period of time, five years or less, from the revenue capture of the special district. I recommend the council.

A couple of things tonight. Well, one thing primarily I want to emphasize, the bid openings and bids that are out. The bid opening for the St. Clair Trail Hub restroom that hopefully you had a chance to see a small drawing of in the weekly brief will be Tuesday, June 16th at 10 a.m. The sidewalk replacement program that was approved by council recently. The bid opening is now scheduled for June 18th at 1 p.m. And that'll be up to the 3,000 square feet of sidewalk to remove and replace. And then the third, the reconstruction of J Street, the intersection of the other local streets. Details, obviously, are being found in the package. And that is scheduled for, well, it was scheduled on May 21st, and that's here before you tonight. Clinton Street is, repairs are underway, and to the best of my knowledge, most of the activity is going as, in the manner that it has been.

Yes, I do. I just want to remind everybody, hopefully you've seen the flyer and the notices of a community event happening on Sunday, June 14th at our city pool. Women's Life Chapter 814, which is a local group of like-minded civic women, are putting together an event to benefit the pool for some extras. As you know, we do have budgeted for repairs and facility maintenance, but this fundraiser is for extra things there. have not been determined yet, but there will be food trucks, raffles, games, live music. So please stop by between 12 and 5 on Sunday, June 14th.

Mr. Mayor, can I just return to bring notice? I sent out today a note about property tax bills that are moving through the house rather rapidly. The league sent this out because there's no replacement revenue planned by the legislature in here. As these things always will take their course and run through it, They will be probably changed and modified many times by the time, if any, passage occurs. But they did want to, all of us legislative coordinators, to make sure that the elected bodies were aware of this, because there's a package of bills that go from eliminating uncapping of the property, elimination of the state education tax, real estate tax transfers, elimination, and changes and things. Many of which, frankly, are decent proposals in a sense, but as usual, there is not yet a defined way they will all work together. So I promised I would mention that at a public meeting, and I certainly want to carry that out. Thank you, sorry.

Yep. Okay, will there be any authorities, boards, commissions, council reps, anything to report? No one finished business, we'll go to new business number eight, approve recommendation of award J in 2026, local street improvements. Okay, Mr. DeShane, here you go.

I do have a representative from AEW here, but having looked at their report and the recommendations and having been in the bid opening, I recommend the council award the contract for J Street Reconstruction, third to Riverside Avenue, two TG Pre's companies in the amount of $790,264.90.

So this is basically gonna cover the entirety of J Street and Adams also, right? Well, from 3rd to the railroad tracks is what I'm reading. So it's a pretty good stretch of road.

It certainly is, yeah. Right?

Yeah. To Riverside. I got a question, do we know if there's any galvanized lines under that road before we put it in? I don't want to see it get tore up like this street last week, cut open. I'd like to see them fixed.

I don't think there's any utility issues with this street at all. Well, again, Joe from AEW, anything to mention there?

They just broke it. That's a reconstruction, the one block.

good evening mayor city council are requesting approval for a special event permit for the saint mary's church corpus christi procession this event will take place on sunday june 7th from approximately 11 a.m through 1 30 p.m the procession will occupy the city streets immediately surrounding surrounding saint mary's church barricades will be in place to block off streets for this event i'm requesting approval for this permit so move support questions

This is a new one. I request the approval for a special event permit for the Chamber of Commerce Family Fun Day scheduled for Saturday, June 13th, 2026. This event will take place in Palmer Park from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will coincide with Rock in the Plaza concert series. Several bounce houses will be set up in Palmer Park from 4 to 9 p.m. for kids and families to play, and there will be other family-friendly events offered throughout the park and plaza courtyard. After the bounce house has come down around 9 p.m., setup will begin for a drone show that will take place over the river along the boardwalk. The drone show is scheduled to begin at 9.45 p.m. The chambers also request an extended hours for the live music in the plaza courtyard until 12 a.m. The Chamber of Commerce has provided all the necessary insurance and has leased Palmer Park for the duration of the event. Our request and approval for this permit. So moved.
