Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the Snohomish County Council Planning and Community Development Committee. It is Tuesday, July 7th, and we're going to call the meeting to order. We'll take public comment, beginning with in person and then remotely. On Zoom, you can click the hand icon to raise your hand. Okay, then let's jump into it. We have two action items. First is motion 26-248.

Good morning, committee chair Nearing and council members. For the record, DeBell Council staff. Proposed motion 26-248 is for a new interlocal agreement between Snohomish County Fire District 4 and Snohomish County for fire investigation services. Snohomish County... Fire District No. 4 includes 60 square miles and 32,000 residents in areas of unincorporated Snohomish County and the City of Snohomish. The County Fire Marshal's Office often assists with fire investigation services to the district on a case-by-case basis when requested. The Fire Marshal's Office has updated their hourly rates for better cost recovery with a yearly increase for services until 2028, and this new agreement will supersede the previous ILA if approved by Council. The requested action is for council to move the motion to GLS on July 15th for consideration. This concludes my staff report. I'm available for any questions.

Good morning. For the record, Cynthia Foley, council staff. Snohomish County is seeking to enter into an interlocal agreement with the city of Meckleteo to provide fire mechanic services. The agreement is revenue generating and the city will not request services in excess of $400,000 over the term of the contract. The city and county may modify the agreement in writing by mutual consent. Motion 26-261 authorizes the executive to sign the ILA. The request is to move motion 26-261 to the GLS agenda for council consideration.
