Thank you very much. Item number two, public hearing and consideration of a request to rezone the property addressed at 1510 North Beard Avenue from C1 local commercial to R1 low density residential. To bring the property into compliance with current zoning code. Case number RZ03-26, applicant Christopher Duncan. Yes, ma'am.

So chair and their commissioners, this case, the applicant just want to bring his property to compliance. And honestly, we didn't find any archives or history files why this is the case, why residential property is zone commercial. Again, simply this could be mistake or something that was taught in the past. But we're here just to make the property compliant. All surrounding properties are zoned Residential 1, just the two corner properties facing the street. And you can see this on your map in our packages. There's zoned Commercial that are facing north part of West Independence Street. We did not receive any objections or protests, so staff recommend approval of the rezoning. And I'm here to address questions if you may have them.

Oh, I'm sorry, Petya. So this always moves forward to the City Commission, which they're not going to raise any objections to it that I could probably see. They follow staff recommendations and ours generally. So it will pass then before City Commission, and it'll be done then. Yes, ma'am. Is that the correct date?

Dear Commissioners, Mr. Chair, pretty much I have only one news. Ms. Diana Hood is no longer serving with the great City of Shawnee. She moved forward with her career ambitions and we're looking to fulfill that position. So far the position is open on the website and nationwide we announced the position. At this point we have about 20 applicants that I'm still reviewing because just the brief screening data did not all of them are eligible for the position but we'll continue searching to find somebody who is going to meet the needs of this community and help this department to even go above and beyond. Rather than that, walk audits. Thank you to all of you that participated this morning.

It was two of you present here that participated this morning.

It was a great walk and you all can see firsthand that it's

certain benefits doing this work audit and we came up communally of some ideas, shared problems that again at the end of the year report will be brought before city management but this will give really rich ocean data of what issues we're observing and what could be improved the most economical way so I highly encourage you the next work audit is August 26th again 8 o'clock so we can beat the heat you can find detailed information on city website under community development work audits And if you bring more people with you, bring your neighbors, your relatives, doesn't matter of the age and the condition, just bring everybody because we want this community to be workable for all kind of abilities, every age. We don't discriminate. We want to be inclusive. So thank you again to those that participated. I hope you come again next time.

We started last Friday. This Friday is the second Friday. Next Friday, we don't have session. And then it is the last two Fridays of August are, what, 26th and 31st? Something like that, yes. If you want to come, if you want to start coming this Friday, feel free to. I encourage you. So far, the first session was... really good. I'm encouraged by the feedback that we received from alumni of the program. Some of them also showed up and from the people that were part of this one full day workshop. So I think we're making a difference because this is not just any training, because if a person wants to be educated, there's so much information available nowadays. We train these individuals how to become leaders in their communities. Because leaders are not dropped from the sky, they are created bottom up. And this is what we're trying to do.
