It's great to see all of you again. I'd like to start our meeting tonight at 06:07PM. We can just go around doing roll call. Please state your first and last name. Malia Martin.

Namita Gayathani. Okay. Next, we need to approve the consent calendar from last meeting. So that was 10/14/2025. If you could look either on your phone or a paper copy of our last meeting, see if you last meeting minutes, see if you can catch any mistakes or things like that.

I'll give you a few minutes. After reviewing the meeting minutes from our last meeting, can somebody please make a motion to approve the meeting minutes of October 14? Can I make a motion to approve

Does anybody have any public presentations? K. Seeing none, we can move on to general business. So the first item of today would be, discussing and taking action on our youth commission work plan and goals. And part of that would be we need each committee to come come up with a mission statement for their committees.

So no more than two sentences, giving a brief description of your goals for the year and what the the center of the committee is going to be. And then in addition to that, some people were missing at our last meeting when we formed committees. So could those of you who haven't joined the committee, raise your hand. Okay. So So seniors get priority, and we had three committees that are available to join.

So for Samira, our three committees are community outreach, youth empowerment or sorry, community building, youth empowerment, and civic engagement. Do you know which one you've seen? Community building. Course. And then Anisha.

Again, community building, civic engagement, and youth empowerment. Community building. And then is there anybody else who has not joined the community yet? Okay.

So

next, we can set up committee meeting times for tonight. What we can start with my committees, civic engagement. So we can meet at 07:15.

Anything to report on? I don't think so because we didn't have our committees fully formed.

I know one thing from civic engagement is that we are almost done with forming the new resident welcome package, so that's probably going to be our first plan of action is tidying that up and formalizing it.

For community building, we probably want to touch back on our, like, multicultural night market that we started last year and also the hackathon and see how we can incorporate that in this term and then see what other activities we have the bandwidth, like, holding.

Essentially, this is a free tutoring service to you guys so long as you have your library card. So you do get access to live tutors all the way

through kindergarten through the first

marketing material for it yet. It's still in the works, but we are working on getting

Does does any other commissioner have a report? Over the weekend, I met with a council member by the name of George Casey, and it was part of an organization that I participate in, Jack and Jill of America, which is, a philanthropic organization for African Americans. And he spoke about how he attained his position and what he does as a council member for the city of San Jose, and that was a really enlightening just experience. And then we also packaged, foods and canned goods for, the needy in time of November, around the Thanksgiving time, and that was, really nice as well. Are there any other commissioner reports?
