Here's a recap of the actions taken at the meeting. Commissioners continued their 2027 budget discussion at their study session. Discussions will continue through July, with final budget approval taking place later this year. After approving the consent agenda, the City Commission approved the renewal of the City's property casualty insurance policies. They also approved the issuance of industrial revenue bonds for the Lee Lofts renovation project, approved a temporary increase in the city manager's purchasing authority for tree trimming and removal, approved the establishment of a special improvement district for the extension of Virginia Drive, and approved a historic sign designation for the HD Lee Flower Mills sign. The next City Commission meeting will take place on Monday, July 13th at 4 p.m. in Room 107 of the City-County Building. The meeting agenda will be available on Friday, July 10th on the City's website, salina-ks.gov. Here's the City Board and Commission update.
