And maybe at the end of the meeting during commissioner comments, we can give you an opportunity to introduce yourself and talk a little bit about your background. Great, we'll now proceed to the public hearing calendar. We only have one item tonight, item two, Deer Creek Plaza PUD amendment. First, are there any disclosures or recusals from commissioners? All right, seeing none, we'll have a staff presentation from Michael Crampton. Welcome, Michael.

Chair and members of the Commission, I am Michael Crampton with the Community Development Department. The item before you tonight is the Deer Creek Plaza PUD amendment located at the northwest corner of Franklin Boulevard and Mack Road. The applicant is requesting to amend the Deer Creek Plaza PUD guidelines and schematic plan to allow for multi-unit dwellings on two vacant parcels within the PUD. The site is zoned shopping center, which currently allows for multi-unit dwellings by right and However, an amendment to the schematic plan is required as the current schematic plan designates the entire site for commercial uses. Exhibits to the schematic plan can be found on pages 33 and 34 of the staff report. In addition, minor text amendments to the PUD guidelines are proposed to clarify guidelines and better align the PUD with the underlying zone. These changes can be found on page seven of the staff report. Staff supports the project based on consistency with city housing goals and policies, including those to facilitate infill housing development and reduce the review time and review level for future development on the site. This concludes staff's presentation. Staff is available for any questions. The applicant is also in attendance and is also available for any questions. Thank you.

All right. Next item is the director's report. Stacia, I believe you'll be providing a report tonight.

Thank you, Chair. A couple of items for you. First off, in case you haven't heard, Matt Hurdle has been appointed as our new Community Development Director. So we really look forward to working with him and supporting him in his new role. Also, some other good news. The City of Sacramento has successfully renewed its pro-housing designation with the State of California's Housing and Community Development Department. And this program provides incentives to cities and counties in competitive scoring for housing and infrastructure programs. So we're really very excited about this and something I think the commission should also be pretty proud of. And then the final item of note, the Planning and Design Commission's next regularly scheduled meeting is on Thursday the 25th, but that meeting is going to be canceled, the meeting on June the 25th. Staff don't have any items to schedule for that meeting. So there are no meetings on the commission calendar in July. That means that our next meeting will be on August 13th. And that's all I have. Hi there. My name is Doug Snell. Just happy to be here. I retired from California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation after 27 years in December of 24. I'm currently working over at UC Davis Center for Community and Citizen Science on a project manager as a for an in-prison project. So I've been pretty active. I previously was on the Animal Wellbeing Commission. Years ago, I was on the Parks and Recreation Commission down in the city of L'Amour and living up in Tomas now and just living life and enjoying things in Sacramento. That's it.
