Planning and Zoning Commission - Regular Meeting

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the City of Rowlett Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. As authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, this meeting may be convened into closed executive session for the purposes of seeking confidential legal advice from the city attorney on any agenda item herein. The City of Rowlett reserves the right to reconvene, recess, realign the regular session or called executive session or order of business at any time prior to adjournment. PROCESS FOR PUBLIC INPUT IF YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND IN PERSON YOU MAY COMPLETE THE CITIZENS INPUT FORM ON THE CITY'S WEBSITE BY 3 30 PM THE DAY BEFORE THE MEETING ALL FORMS WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION PRIOR TO THE START OF THE MEETING FOR IN-PERSON COMMENTS REGISTRATION FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE AVAILABLE INSIDE THE DOOR OF THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS WE HAVE A QUORUM SO WE'LL GO AHEAD AND CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER FIRST ITEM IS CITIZENS INPUT AT THIS TIME THREE MINUTE COMMENTS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE AUDIENCE ON ANY TOPIC NO ACTION CAN BE TAKEN BY THE COMMISSION DURING CITIZENS INPUT Do we have any input? PLANNING IS ONLY COMMISSIONED OR CITIZEN MAY REQUEST ITEMS TO BE REMOVED FROM CONSENT AGENDA FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION. OUR CONSENT AGENDA CONSISTS OF CONSIDERING THE MINUTES, CONSIDER APPROVED, YEAH, CONSIDER ACTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF JUNE 9TH, 2026 OF THE REGULAR MEETING. AND ITEM 3B, CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE COIL LAKES TOWNHOUSE PHASE 1 FINAL PLAT. Does anybody want to remove anything? I do. I want to remove the minutes. Anybody else have anything they want to remove? No? Okay. Well, I'll entertain a motion to approve the consent agenda item 3B.

Mr. Hernandez. I'll make the motion to approve the COIL LAKES TOWN HOME PHASE ONE FINAL PLOT.

WE HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE, A SECOND BY MR. JOBE. ANY DISCUSSION ON THE ITEM? SEEING NONE, WE'LL CALL THE VOTE. AND THAT PASSES 7-0. AND I'D LIKE TO GO AHEAD AND DISCUSS THE MINUTES. by basically just tabling that to our next regular meeting as there's some corrections that need to be made before we vote on that. Do I need to make a motion or do I have to have a motion on approval for that? Yeah, let's go ahead. If anybody would like to make that motion, raise your hand because thank you very much and seconded by Good. So that's a motion by Lonnie Blades to postpone that item or table that item until the next regular meeting, seconded by Mr. Dameron. All in any discussion on the motion?
