One item under the Finance and Personnel Committee, it's the settlement agreement with McAbee Capital for property damage to 401 East 8th Street in the amount of $231,272.51. Well, thank you for allowing me to speak. Director Sanders, can you kind of explain to us what the situation is?

Yes. December 23, the City of Rockford Water Distribution Division responded to a water main break in the alleyway between City Hall building and 401 East State right out at the State Street right-of-way where all of that converges in the process of trying to expose that water main break by through pavement removal looking for it was bubbling up to the pavement but trying to find the break itself Through the course of that attempt to locate it and repair it, they damaged an underground portion, an extended basement portion of 401E State. The basement extends out farther than the exterior wall of the building. It extends 20 feet farther in towards the alley, covered with pavement. And that pavement was broken through, causing damage to the basement of that building.
