Good afternoon. Thank you. Council President to bring members of the City Council Mayor Norton. The requested action before you this evening this afternoon is to repeal and replace resolution 137 dash 26 that you authorized in July 2026 at a City Council meeting. This is related to the raise grant that we received for the. 6th Street Bridge Neighborhood and Riverfront Safety Improvements, Neighborhood Safety and Riverfront Improvements Project. At the time, the resolution was very prescriptive in stating that the mayor be authorized to sign a grant agreement of $19.9 million. We're asking for a slight modification to the resolution for it to read up to $19.9 million. The grant that we were notified of was $19.9 million. in federal funding for the construction of that project. We are in final negotiations with the agreement and wanted to just make sure that we have the flexibility to sign the grant agreement and stay on schedule with the planned agreement deadline and construction schedule. So the request is for you to take action to repeal the prior resolution and approve this resolution which says up to $19.9 million.

Council Member Keene. Just minor logistics, but the resolution does repeal and replace a resolution with a specific number, but the one we're making does not have a specific number. That's just logistics that'll come after we make the resolution?

It might be a question for the clerk's office.

Yes, that's correct. So we're repealing the prior resolution number. And then once this is adopted, it will receive a new resolution number.

I'll move to adopt a resolution to repeal and replace resolution 137-26, authorizing the execution of the fiscal year 2022 Rebuilding America infrastructure with sustainability and equity, also known as RAISE grant agreement with the United States Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Department of Transportation to provide up to 19.9 million in federal funding for the construction of the Sixth Street Bridge neighborhood safety and riverfront improvements, project number J7919.
