Okay, we're scheduled to have a public hearing, but we've been told that that has been postponed, correct? Yeah, I can go through that for you. I don't need to really announce the public hearing.

I can go through that for you when you're ready for that.

Yeah, okay, so we'll go ahead and go to what's actually happening.

All right, thank you, Madam Chair, fellow commissioners. This is actually just a major site review, so it's not a public hearing per se, but... Subsequent to the publication of the staff report, Ripon Grace Church did submit a written request that consideration of the major site review this evening be continued to allow the applicant additional time to prepare project-specific acoustical analysis and to evaluate potential noise mitigation measures, including acoustical barriers, modifications to the proposed court design, and limitations of hours or possibly shifting them to a different area of the site that that would work. The applicant's request directly relates to the concerns identified in the staff report regarding the city's inability, based on the information currently available, to determine whether the proposed pickleball courts would comply with the noise standards contained in section 16156 of the municipal code. Staff supports the applicant's request for additional time. Accordingly, staff, recommends that the Planning Commission receive any public testimony from persons wishing to speak on this matter this evening and move to continue consideration of the major site review to a date uncertain. This will provide the applicant an opportunity to prepare and submit additional technical information and proposed mitigation measures for staff to review prior to the matter returning to the Planning Commission. So we have provided the Commission with a recommended motion that should be on the desk in front of you there. The applicant requested that you continue the item. If the Commission approves the continuance this evening, staff will return the matter to the Planning Commission at a future meeting following receipt of any additional material submitted. That's all I have for you this evening, and I'll be happy to answer any questions. Not here, I just didn't realize it was such a big deal until I started doing a little bit of research.

People are up in arms in different locations and lots of different ordinances I think are being developed around the state on this topic.

Just really quick. So next month, we will be having a public hearing for our annual development agreement review. That's kind of a housekeeping item we have to do every year. Along with that, we should have a couple ordinances in front of you guys as well. So... Do plan on that. And I don't think we have any scheduling conflicts next month, so we won't be such a hurry. But yeah, so we do have a couple public hearings at our October meeting.
