Please join me in prayer. Gracious God and loving Father, Lord, we thank you for this amazing country and for the freedom that we enjoy. And Lord, for those who served it and ultimately those who pay the ultimate price to purchase the freedom that we all enjoy. Lord, we thank you for this community we call home, place of natural beauty and abundant resource. Lord, we thank you for the people of our community, blessed with their many talents and abilities. Lord, we know that you've anointed government to manage the affairs of men, and so we thank you for those who serve our city. And Lord, we pray tonight that you'll guide the city council, give them wisdom and discernment in all their deliberations and decisions, that first and foremost it might honor you, and that it might bless and benefit the people of our city. Thank you. Thank you. My name is David Williams. I'm marketing director for Sparklight. I appreciate you allowing me two, three minutes here to provide you some noteworthy information for Prescott Valley. We're very proud to be serving this community. We've been here for more than 30 years and While it may not have been front page news, over the last three years, we've invested more than $50 million in this area. And to what end? On June 1st, Prescott Valley families woke up to a gig city. We automatically increased speeds across this city to thousands of families to one gig. At the same time, automatically, we lowered their bills at a time where affordability is more important now than ever. In June, families here in Prescott Valley are saving typically several hundred dollars a year just by continuing to be a subscriber of an essential broadband service. I'm so proud of what Sparklight has accomplished. I wanted to come here tonight and share this news with you. And without a few other things, We will be investing several more million dollars this summer and fall to bring multi-gig service to this community. By this October, we expect to be able to serve across the community two gig, in some cases, six gigabit service. We're doing this not only for residential services, but we're driving economic growth with businesses. We serve them with the same high speeds. In closing, I wanted to share with you that while I'm so proud of what we do for broadband and mobile services in this community, we're more than broadband. I have the privilege of working with associates who have lived here their entire lives. I just spoke to one of our associates coming here tonight. He has celebrated 31 years with Sparklight. At the healing fields adjacent to this building, you'll find him every September installing flags. We're donating grants to the Yavapai Humane Society. This morning we broke the news that we're going to be giving a grant to the community cupboard here in Prescott Valley. There's a Coalition for Compassion and Justice. And there are other organizations, including the Dewey Humboldt School District that serves Prescott Valley. We're a big supporter of the teachers and the students. And so with that and 10 seconds remaining, I want to thank you for allowing me this brief moment to share with you something of which we're very proud. And we expect to be here for several decades and beyond. Thank you. Thank you, sir. Very well done on your timing.

Mr. Mayor, Vice Mayor, town council members, and staff. So I share a couple of highlights past a couple of weeks at the Chamber of Commerce. We added some new businesses to our membership. Fans, F-A-N-Z, they're located on Second Street. Ceiling, pans, and lights. Go check them out. Sean Shergren is the owner and operator. A new church is coming to our town. Father George Wiles, St. Barnabas Anglican Church. They'll be having their first service later in the month. We're kind of excited about that. Jason Hilaro from Granite Electrical. He became a new member, as well as Weekend Warrior Handyman Services. That's Mac Thornburg, and he's joining our chamber as well. A few upcoming events on June 25th. We have a chamber joint effort for the other area chambers at the rodeo grounds. for our Live After Five Mixer. And then July 6th, we have our Candidates Forum over at the Finley Toilet Center. Some of the people on the dais will be joining us for that event. And then our annual banquet is on July 24th over at the Finley Center again. Appreciate it. Next up, council communications, summary of current events. I've had people reach out recently and ask, what exactly is that portion of our program? And it's just so you guys know, it's for council to have the opportunity to say if they've gone to ribbon cuttings, kind of report in some upcoming events. Just basically, council activities is really what it's all about. So if you're curious, hopefully that answers it. I'll start to my right. Councilwoman?

This Saturday, June 13th, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Citizens Water Advocacy Group, CWAG, is having a Zoom session for the public. It's open to the public for free, where candidates, several candidates from Prescott Valley will be discussing water issues. You can... You need to pre register and you can do that online at at C wag az.org and then click on the link for the. For the zoom meeting. In other news. Last Thursday night. After the Council meeting. Had a bad experience. I after the meeting Councilman.

I'm going to remind you what the purpose of communications is. We're going to strictly speak to what we have going on.

All right. Fair enough. Well, sir, thank you for your service. Next up, Construction Service for Cattle Track Pedestrian Drainage Improvements, Project CIP ST 2501.

Mayor, Vice Mayor, Members of the Council, John Leyba, Public Works Engineer. Uh, this evening I am seeking Council approval to award a contract for cattle track. On the slide in front of you at the end of June 2021, phase one was completed approximately 2000 linear feet of 5 foot sidewalk. That extended from Addis down to Yucca Drive. This project will continue from Yucca Drive down to Roundup and over to the west to connect to Viewpoint, giving that connectivity with the path around the Antelope Park in a key area where we have the Coyote Springs Elementary School and the Pronghorn Ridge Middle School. This project will include curb and gutter, ADA-compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, some asphalt resurfacing, fog sill, and drainage improvements with the new curb and gutter added. We will also be working with the Utilities Department, and they have included funding so we could install three new fire hydrants in this area. The funding was approved and budgeted for fiscal year 26, and that will roll over into this next fiscal year. The funding sources are from CDBG, the Community Development Block Grant, HEERF, Stormwater, and the Water Enterprise Funding. We received seven bids, and the parent low bidder was Judco. The bids were reviewed. There were no discrepancies. We received a recommendation of award from Lion Engineering, who also reviewed. All the addendums were acknowledged, bonds were present, and all the required CDBG documentation were submitted. So with all that being said, we are seeking council approval to approve a contract with Judco LLC with 10% contingency in the amount of $1,305,998.10. And I am here if you have any questions. Any questions or comments for staff?

2,000 feet, whenever we can get 2,000 feet of sidewalk, it's always a good day. And sir, is this your first time presenting in front of Council? No. Been here a few times. You did a good job. Thank you. You clean up well, the Vice Mayor said, so that's probably what it was. Can I get a motion, please?

Mr. Mayor, I'd like to make a motion to award a construction contract to Judd Coe, LLC, for the Cattle Track Pedestrian Drainage Improvements Project, CIP number ST2501, in the amount of $1,187,271, and I believe 10 cents, by electronic vote. Second. Clerk, please call the vote.

Thank you, ma'am. Next up, final item, construction contract, earth resources, corporation fire hydrant additions project, CIP number CI2604. Sir, welcome.

Good morning, or good evening, Mayor and Council. James Warren, Senior Utilities Engineer, here tonight to request approval for the fire hydrants additions program. Just a little background on the fire hydrant additions program. It's an opportunity for the town to come back and add fire hydrants to areas of the town that were constructed before the current fire code and have spacing between hydrants that are greater than the current code. So as you can see on the screen, we've selected 16 locations this year. When we're selecting these locations, we generally look at the main size and the main location. Main size being we don't want to put a hydrant on a main that is less than six inches because we won't get the fire flow that we require. And main location, because there are areas of town where the mains are in the easement in the back of the yard, and we're looking for locations that are out in the right of way where they can be easily accessible by the fire department. So and as John labor mentioned we're including 3 additional hydrants on the cattle track project know all 16 of these hydrants are located within the existing right away. Each location will utilize traffic control to maintain traffic during the construction process and our construction duration is scheduled for 90 days. Requests for bids were advertised May 3rd and May 10th, with bids received May 26th. We received four bids this year. And we are requesting that we construct all 16 hydrants that were part of the bid, even though that is slightly over our original budget, we're requesting a budget transfer within the Waters Enterprise Fund to cover that difference and the cost of the hydrants associated with the cattle track project. So with that, we're requesting an award of a construction contract to Earth Resources Corporation in the amount of $219,279. That concludes my presentation.
