Common Council - workshop

I went without no Beths for like a month, and then I had two on Monday. Two of them on Tuesday. I ended up with two Beths.

There's no other Beths.

Well, Beth Gillis was pretty good. I will say that.

Well, I would like to ask about this month's growth resurfacing.

You guys had said it there.

I thought it was worth it. I know.

I got to tell you, there's a couple different reports in there that's in the folder this week, which is pretty cool. I mean, yeah.

Well, the reports are all prepared. This seems to be bigger. So this month's growth resurfacing. So a couple things. Number one, there's the residential type. Um, and then the road services program, and it is for the sheets that we're talking about in the, uh, portion of course, uh, all of course, the fortunate couch. Fortunately, uh, the upper end of the sectionality is they get paid. And then, uh, all well street. There's the very goal is right. We're trying to get it done before college gets back in. And so is this all chips? There's all chips. Yeah. So there's a question.

We just have more time.

No, we haven't all time at all, but we're going to say so. Yeah.

And honestly, we're pushing in fairness to, we didn't get 1 of the grants we were looking at to do the infrastructure there. So, and, and let's say, of course, you're getting bad. And court street, we, I mean, we want to get in the ground there, but the world's getting bad. So, we've discussed it.

Yeah, of course, several times and cycle of trigger and it's getting done.

Yeah, we may as well get it done. And then hopefully, you know, in the next, within the next five years, we will have a grant that we can tear that whole load up again and do it right. And then we can use chips again in five years.

Yeah. And then we still have one more phase of Hayden. Yes. He was already involved in the building servicing, but he was going to do Elizabeth Johnson, Oshima Gouye, and there's like five or four episodes. on resolution to be just basically put the money into there so you can spend it and we'll get that done and while we're talking about resolution there's another resolution men's capital equipment and actually you all know what that is uh reason being a radio station is only chips what we would try to do is these are equipment that we're looking to flip because the training value was big

So explain it again.

So what it was, I mean, we were on the, we got back to, so the little ones that we see a lot, these are the products called seeds. Okay. You all are killing and you go to Bowling's. Any of the road projects pretty much all summer and fall and even spring all over the city. To buy a piece of equipment with CHIP's money, you have to hold it for at least 10 years. What I like to do is I like to value equipment as we go. We'll deal with it. The problem is, once I get to 2000, I will die of the problem.

Should we table that then instead of just all?

No, we'll take it off. It's not a, this won't go and it's gone.

Bring it back in a few years?

There's no, we're going to run this piece of equipment until one brand new one, which has a wide level chips. We'll sell it at an auction. It just, we're not being, we're not taking advantage. We can't, we're not able to take advantage of it. And there's a reason behind it, which is they don't allow, they want a 10 year service life because they don't want to be buying equipment and applying that money to something that they don't like. Yeah. So. Got it. It makes sense. Yeah, it makes perfect sense. Now, what we were doing, I guess, in the past, they'd be easy to allow, but they'd be like, Chips, we're going to have to take down. We'll take it this way. I had a fortune there and spoke about it. Anything else on my list? Slip lining. Slip lining.
