I am Teresa Kennedy. I work in four vegetation management programs in the Caltrans District. We serve in nine Bay Area counties.

We have come here today to talk about the two sustainable methods that we have implemented in the South Pacific. In short, I would like to tell you what is O.R.C.D.R.C.D. Resource Conservation Districts started as a response to the dust bowl protest in 1939. Therefore, we provided the most sustainable methods for the protection of soil and helped the agricultural producers. We continued to grow, and many O.R.C.D.R.C.D.s reached the state and state level. We also provide advice to private landowners and public land managers that do not have financial assistance or facilities. We focus mainly on grant funding for our activities, but we also get a small amount of compensation. We are a special district, so I just wanted to let you know what RCD is.
