So I wanted to start out today with the, you know, just sort of a little prelude, you know, about my relationship with Dr. Anthony Fauci, who I met in Washington, DC at a benefit at the DC Hilton. He's been a great public servant and researcher at the CDC. And he's been in research in immunology for more than 50 years and whose efforts helped saved hundreds of thousands of lives, uh, you know from COVID despite the utter self-serving stupidity of Donald Trump who in who's insane and constant misinformation during a global pandemic led to the unnecessary deaths upon review as many as 600,000 people and so So, of course, the current, you know, GOP idiocracy in Capitol Hill is continuing the lies and disinformation about Dr. Fauci claiming he was responsible for the COVID pandemic in the first place. And, you know, telling people they shouldn't, you know, congregate. I hope you kind of remember back, you know, what was happening at that time. Anybody with any sense in their head could see, you know, what Trump was doing. And, you know, This is the very thing that a public official must warn people against during an unprecedented global pandemic. Just remember the pressure that nurses were facing. In fact, Megatrends did an interview with the head of the nurses' union in the East Bay when Megatrends was a radio show on KXSL. But before we get further into that, we'll get more into that a little bit later, By the way, on August 6th, today is August 6th, on August 6th, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on a civilian population in Hiroshima, Japan. And we'll review some of the history leading up to that horrific moment in world history and the after effects. And, you know, one of the things I have on as part of Megatrends today is that, you know, the news coverage was classified for 20 years. Like in the aftermath, it was so horrible, the press was directed not to show video of it, even though some of it got out anyway. But we will review some of the history leading up to that in the after effects. Presently, megatrends in the current world situation continues to avert such a catastrophe, but with a complete lunatic in the White House. Oh, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff are keeping launch codes from the Oval Office with a strict no on deployment. When Trump asked, he was actually considered, had considered that because he's, has... So anyway, meanwhile, in other megatrends, you know, megatrends is asking and investigating the case. Did the CIA... green light, the murder of journalist Alexandra Bravo in Ecuador. And, you know, there was a, she was interviewing people, fishermen who had been, who were survivors of the attacks that the U.S. military had done on their boats. And so there was a, and About a week ago, she was murdered. Even after she was taken off the case for her safety, because word got around that. Because the CIA are the ones that greenlight these things. And so what is the larger connection? Well, it was a groundbreaking investigation. It was led by the news outlet Diario Rojo. in America Latina and a website Honduras Gate, exposed how former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, with the support of current Honduran conservative President Nasri Azfura, President Trump and Argentina's right-wing leader, Javier Milley, had conspired to disseminate fake news with the intention to destabilize the leftist governments, the so-called leftist governments of Brazil. All they are is social democracies of Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. And Trump pardoned, by the way, if you remember the name Juan Hernández, he was the guy that Trump pardoned in December of when he first was elected, after he was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to 45 years in a U.S. prison, this is during the Biden era, and he paid a million dollars to the campaign and said it was brought to Trump's attention. He went, uh-huh. So now, guess what? This guy Juan Orlando Hernandez is now Trump's liaison to Israel. He's meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu as we speak, and there's been some footage of that. It's like, really? So we're going to make some of those connections later on. That's what Megatrend is all about. So the U.S. and Israel worked with... The question is, what is this thing called... And the US and Israel worked with disgraced ex-president of Honduras to destabilize leftist governments. This is a story from May 8th, 2026. It was on Amy Goodman was reporting on it. It was a series of leaked audio recordings revealed that the United States and Israel with the support of Honduras have been involved in a scheme targeting leftist governments in Latin America. And a groundbreaking investigation was led by the news outlet, as I mentioned, Diario Rojo Red in American Latina and the website Honduras Gate. So you can go to Honduras Gate and just Google that. And so imagine he was convicted. This is Juan Orlando Hernandez. to Trump pardon. He was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to 45 years in a U.S. prison. And he... So, this is what they have to run on? So, anyway, so a few other things in the megatrend before we get on to the regular show is that Dr. Abdul El-Sayed defeated raging AIPAC Democrat Haley Stevens. by a very close, by 1%, 48.5% to 47.5%. And you remember that he was up by 10 to 11, 12 points in the pool, but all of a sudden, this flood, you have to ask yourself, why don't people have a BS filter when they're watching TV? Well, that's what old people do. They sit around and they don't, this is America. the stupidification of America, the idiocracy. But anyway, he defeated her despite being vastly outspent, like more than six to one. So Dr. El-Sayed ran on Medicare for all, ending military aid to Israel and getting money out of politics, right? And all things that are across the political spectrum supported by Democrats, Republicans, moderates, everybody. So this is what they're running on? This is what they're heading? Well, here, take the golden shovel, keep digging. So the other thing to sort of add to this was that, you know, Todd Blanche, you know, the guy that wants to be the AP, I hope, has announced that he would work to make abortion illegal. And this is a quote, so that the Dobbs decision becomes permanent in every single state. This is a quote from this guy. And he doesn't believe in this. He's just doing this because this is how he just sucks up to Trump. So he further stated he seeks to eliminate abortion pills. What? So, you know, what correlation is Trump and the GOP operating under? So stepping way back. Oh, by the way, 2033 is the year that's been... the white supremacists have realized that the white population will become the voting minority in the United States. And then this is their plan to eliminate immigrants en masse. This is what's going on right now, who they see as, you know, they're just as voting for Democrats, you know, so they want to get rid of as many of them as they can. This is their voting, long-term voting strategy, right? through deportations. Thus, in their view, increasing the white vote seen as more likely to vote Republican. So in leaked recordings, Senator Tina Smith, a Democrat from Minnesota, revealed that Todd Blanch made it clear in these secret calls with anti-choice activists that he wants to resurrect the Comstock Act Google the Comstock Act. Google it right now. It's an antiquated anti-vice law from the 19th century, before women had the right to vote, to ban sending medication abortion in the mail. This is what the GOP is running on in this election. So note that even a majority of conservatives support abortion rights and see, and they see this as stupid. So I think the key is just to, you know, do what Megatrend is doing is to broadcast this stupidity far and wide. So as many people who might consider voting, you know, the wrong way, we'll get, well, no, there's a, no, this, this vote for our interests, what we want our society to be. And, you know, to get someone to go on Fox and blow their cover and, So also, by the way, in addition to El-Sayed winning in Michigan's 13th district, the DSA candidate, the Democratic Socialist of America candidate, Donovan McKinney, defeated two term Democratic Representative uh what was his name um oh he uh i lost my place here oh oh yeah donna donovan mckinney a defeated two-term democratic representative house representative and aipac recipient uh representative sri thanadar and that was close like 52 to 48. so in both cases mckinney and el sayed were outspent by more than six to one So this is the trend. This is the mega trend. Money is used to work. And in fact, 23 before this election cycle, 23 out of 23 massive AIPAC funded politicians won their race. and defeated people that were against U.S. taxpayers sending any further aid to Israel. So what amazes me is that people still... Come on, folks, you know, pull out your bullshit filters. You know... You know, like when APAC spends tens of millions on scare tactics, you know, the lies as TV ads, that's what they're running on. They're not going door to door. It's the door to door campaign, the connection, a personal connection. That's that's why Syed won. And he's going to end the DSA candidates are going to continue to win because they're connected to people. So Megatrends will do future shows to keep an eye on those kinds of Megatrends. So, you know, the question is, you know, again, what was Honduragate? And Honduragate is the name given to a series of alleged leaks of the conversations I was just talking about between right-wing politicians in the Americas, including the former Honduran president, Juan Orlando Hernandez, and current president, Nasri Asfora, that revealed, and again, that's the guy, Juan Orlando Hernandez, who was in prison for 45 years for drug running and was pardoned by Trump. And so that's their goal. They're trying to destabilize governments in Latin America. Sound familiar? So the audio has also implied the participation of political actors from the US and Israel to influence politics in Honduras. So I remember Honduras was the country that during the Reagan era, they sent money to the Contras. That's where the Contra armies were stationed and to attack people in Nicaragua. And I was there during during that. In the war zone, during that conflict, I actually got in a counterattack for six days as a carpenter. I was working on putting in the doors and windows on a health center in Esteli, Nicaragua, during that six-day attack, funded by our tax money. So when your tax money is shooting at you and you have to at the end of the day, you survive and you have to help bury the dead, that really changes your perspective of our U.S. tax money. So I don't just talk, you know, you know, I don't just talk the talk. I've walked the walk on this. So let's pay attention to the Honduran gate. So we're going to go to this first What we're going to do, I wanted to show you this beautiful AI dance sequence before we got started because I thought it was so beautiful. Well, there you go. Wasn't that just unbelievable? There's more of those. I'll have more of those. So I wanted to now continue with this little posting by Francesca Fiorentini. I want you to know who she is. She's really good. And she reports on about Alejandra Bravo. the prosecutor who was being represented by fishermen, survivors of the US military bombings and was arrested and beaten and served by US Southern Command and was actually taken off the case for And still, she was shot dead in the streets in Ecuador. And President Noboa was told, and I am investigating, the green light was given to him by the CIA to step aside, and they paid for the gunman to shoot her. So let's listen to Francesca Fiorentini.

The US is murdering and torturing fishermen in Ecuador and now the lead prosecutor on the case has been shot dead in the streets. All of this is under the guise of fighting narco trafficking, right? But in fact, Trump is working closely with Miami born Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, who himself has been tied to cocaine trafficking. Just like Nayib Bukele in El Salvador, Noboa claims to be tough on narco trafficking, but struck a deal with cartels to give them immunity in exchange for peace and their support. Dropside News is honestly doing some of the best reporting I've seen on these boat strikes that have hit 67 boats and killed 221 people. But it's the survivors of the attacks who have a story to tell and a case to litigate. 36 of them who survived two strikes in Ecuadorian waters were being represented by Alexandra Bravo. They alleged that their boats were hit by American drones and that afterwards they were apprehended at gunpoint by English speaking law enforcement that appear to have been US Southern Command. According to drop site news, the gunman allegedly held them hostage, sank their bombed boat, placed hoods over their heads, beat some of the fishermen and withheld food for eight days as they attempted to permanently transfer them to El Salvador, home of the gulags where Kristi Noem likes to stage little social media clips. Even though Alexandra Bravo, the prosecutor, had been taken off the case, maybe because of political pressure, maybe because of her safety, she was nevertheless shot dead by gunmen in the streets of a coastal town of Ecuador called Manta. someone with extremely low T is tying up loose ends. And the fact of the matter is these MAGA loving Latin American governments steeped in narco money themselves are allowing Trump to murder and torture their civilians in their waters and then go after anyone who would seek justice. Then Fox News turns around and wonders why there's a migrant crisis. We are back in full blown American imperialism and violent covert ops against Fisherman, Minneapolis. I'm going to be bringing in Brother Tim in a second. He's going to talk about something that's under the radar that's not in the Washington Post, not in the New York Times. Something that's happening on the ground in Montgomery County, Maryland, but it's happening all over. And it's the defunding of, and the effects of the funding cuts on the people who are providing services for people in need, including everything from, you know, Resco, UOps, to making, right down to making payroll. So let's bring Tim in. And there he is. Brother Tim. How you doing? Professor of digital media at Montana College among other things. We were having a conversation this morning. And would you review what you were telling me about the effects of funding cuts going on in public services, your area?

It's kind of a silent killer. because what's happening is that, you know, I have to, it didn't affect me directly, except my son is in a, in a place, it's a healthcare organization that takes care of mentally ill adults. And we've been dealing with this our whole lives. But it's only it's only come to pass recently that I hear that the place that he is housed at is one of the best mental health facilities in the region. And it just so happens that I'm part of a, I'm part of a chamber, a Rockville chamber, and they were talking about, you know, how hard it is these days for a lot of the nonprofit organizations Uh, these days, because particularly DC is really has a core problem because they're caught in this vice of demand and climbing demand and the capacity for, uh, is shrinking because not only just because the funding was cut. I mean, state of Maryland is well funded for the most part, but for the most part, they don't, they don't have any more money to give. I mean, they, they're very tight on their, their budgets as well. But the, you know, the need for mental health facilities is growing. The cost of living is now affecting facilities like that as well, because, you know, the price of food has gone up, the Medicaid costs are shrinking, you know, the demands for on them are kind of happening on all sides. And so, I mean, so this whole cost of living thing might seem not relevant to most people, but as food services go up, the cost of food goes up and the SNAP payments are harder to get. It really puts people who are really vulnerable in a situation where they, how are they going to survive? And if this organization that she was talking about, my friend at the chamber, basically can't make payroll, that means that there might be hundreds of mental health professionals out of work. And also, you know, thousands of these mental health patients on the streets. So it's becoming more and more evident because the DC area particularly has a lot of nonprofits organizations here, and they're federally funded. And they have a lot of biotech companies here, which are federally funded. And the consolidation is starting to happen. You know, people are merging with, uh, even biotech companies are merging and all the, all the funding that the government had been, uh, funding before is shrinking. And these companies have to find ways to either reduce their costs or reduce their footprint. And, uh, and so this whole DC area, which was built probably because of the federal government's funding for many, many years is now in this very rapid quagmire of change, of reduced funding, greater needs, particularly the, like I said, the homeless shelters, the mental health facilities, the substance abuse places, the food insecurity with even many of these places like Manna and other places having a hard time getting food and distribution to them so they could distribute it out. That's a, it's a really big issue right now. And I, and for me, my son, he's playing 35 years old. I haven't told him this yet, but there's a possibility that, you know, you know, he might have to leave that facility if they, if they don't either have a, uh, they can't merge with someplace else or they don't have any other funding, you know, you know, they've gone, they've gone to the state to ask for help, to raise more money, but state says they don't have any money.

So for you, um, um, We're talking about a combination of federal funding cuts and times the cost of living increase impacted the ability for NPOs to buy services. And I'm sure the case in Montgomery County, Maryland, We're a fairly high tax base. You can imagine the impact that's happening. It's like North Carolina, New York, Texas, Louisiana, and the red states in general. I've been hearing reports that it's considerably worse. Where are you right now? Where you typically are in the D.C. area, in Montgomery County, North Carolina.

Yeah, I'm down here seeing my stepson and his wife and the grandchildren. But down here, the federal funding isn't as evident as you might see up in the D.C. area. What do you mean by not evident? Well, because there is a, you know, kind of a, this is in the suburbs and, you know, there are a lot of companies down here. And so, you know, but you're like in the city and I'm sure that there are, you know, issues with, you know, whatever, wherever you're at in any city, but DC area is unique in some ways because they're usually the last place to have a recession hit. Well, they're the first ones to have this recession hit now because of the federal slowdown.

Well, I'm going to look for this story on NPOD funding and see how prevalent this is. If it was a walk away, what would you encourage viewers to do about it? What would they do about it?

Well, it's certainly not what the legislators are saying. Oh, let's just have a meeting. Well, the people who are really affected by this are saying, you know, this is stupid. I mean, you can't just kind of build your way around this thing. You have to find out what the problems are and then how you're going to solve it. I mean, you can't just sit there and pretend that the federal funding is going to show up one day. So, you know, you have to think about how people are going to have to merge their organizations. Are you going to have to talk about how you're going to be able to, you know, find more support to be able to, you know, fill in the blanks of where people who are losing their jobs might have to volunteer and step in. But there's a lot of fear and anxiety.

Do you know of any civil service and legal organizations that are... aware of it and are organizing to make noise on Capitol Hill to legislators? Is there something afoot that's organized that you know about yet?

No. No, I don't. Actually, because the problem is in the federal side of things, the current administration has a cap on reality. And you can't go to them and try to convince them. You could probably go to court for certain things, but that's what they want you to do. They want to slow down the whole system by keeping everybody out. The only chance you have is your state and local governments.

Okay. Listen, thank you for this little mini report about that. And I'm going to be looking into that. Unfortunately, the news cycle is being dominated by utter nonsense like attacking Dr. Anthony Fauci, who we both met a couple of years ago at an event fundraiser at the D.C. Hilton. And he just... To me, he's one of the great public servants of all time. having to overcome all the lunacy of Trump's mishandling of the COVID pandemic. And now, of course, the GOP is dominating the news. And the news that you're talking about is not in the news, unfortunately. So I want to, that's what Megatrends is for, you know, to try to supplant that, you know, put the real news on for viewers. And that was my brother, Tim Fahey. And he's giving us that story. This next little tidbit is a newsreel. Let me see. Is that right? The one I have? Oh. Three, it's a newsreel from a British movie town detailing the attacks carried out by the Zionist militia group Irgun on the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on 22 July 1946. And this is an attack that brought down much of the hotel's southern wing. And, you know, by the way, Yixha Shamir, the former, the future at that time, future prime minister, was the head of Irgun, the terrorist group. And so let's watch this. This is from 1946 prior to...

The Jewish terrorist organization, Irgun Zvai Leumi, openly admitted responsibility for the bombing. Many arrests have been made. The King David Hotel itself. It was in the wing on the right of the picture that the terrorists placed their explosive. And the result of the crime, the tragic scene is like a serious incident during the Blitz. The hotel housed the British Army headquarters and the Palestine government offices and casualties were very heavy. Leaders of the Jewish Agency have expressed horror at the dastardly crime perpetrated by a gang of desperados. Mr. Attlee in the House of Commons declared, the British government will not be diverted by acts of violence in their search for a just and final solution of the Palestine problem. President Truman, condemning the wanton act of terrorism, added that America and Britain are conferring on steps to be taken to implement the report of the Anglo-American Parasite Committee. Undoubtedly, the people of Britain anxiously wait for the announcement of a policy which will prevent the loss of any more innocent lives.

So this is for the prelude to the beginning of Israel and the two terrorist groups that they were identified.

were Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, both who became the future prime ministers of Israel. And the name of those terrorist groups were called the Shtangang and the Irgun. And so this next little, that was then, and then, and now this is now, this is a, this is a, We're going to loop this a few times while I read a passage. These are the journalists who were killed in Gaza. So let's just run this. This is the series of... This is when it launched, I guess. Well, this is the people that, again, these are, these are all the ones who were killed in Gaza just for reporting the news. So we're going to go to this next section. This is the next one we're going to go to is Ella Cordova. And she's a musician and a poet. And she also does film. She's a comedian. She does everything. And she once again delivers something really, really special about a vast and ancient cosmos. This is Ella Cordova. Let's listen to her.

Look, I'm no scientist. As I understand it, I am a sack of carbon, water, and electricity, blessed, maybe cursed, with consciousness, trundling about for 80 odd years, if I'm lucky, on a tiny rock which is hurtling through a vast and ancient cosmos. Mostly I spend my allotted time sleeping, working, and eating to sustain the carbon sack, and every now and then, I stopped to remember the first part about the cosmos and the mystery and majesty and wonder that we have just barely begun to know about. And when I do remember that, I am so grateful to scientists. In fact, I'd call myself a super fan of science. I think without the scientific method, we would toil in disease and superstition and ignorance, and we'd be huddled in the darkness, afraid of demons and ghosts, which is an authoritarian's dream. So that's why I think science, beyond just being interesting and useful, is the keystone to any well-functioning democracy. Scientists should be in the room whenever policy decisions are being made. And instead, in this country, a war is being waged against science by the current administration. Many such wars have been waged in the past by kings and religions. And we know from those examples, science only happens at scale when we, the people, decide that it should. So this is why on Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, I'm choosing to lift up the American Association for the Advancement of Science. You might know them as the nonprofit that publishes this family of science journals, of which I'm a proud subscriber. But they also do a bunch of other stuff, including getting research funded and advocating for science-based policy. But honestly, whether it's the AAAS or some other nonprofit working tirelessly to un- this timeline that we all find ourselves in, Giving Tuesday is a great day to invest in your community. A lot of nonprofits are at risk of retaliation, defunding, and dismantling by the current administration just because their missions run contrary to its political aims. That's a dangerous trend. The executive branch should never be weaponized to quash dissent and opposition.

That's un-American.

So if you're able, let's put our money where our mouth is and support some nonprofits today. I'm choosing science because, as Albert Einstein once said, All our science, measured against reality, is primitive and childlike, and yet it is the most precious thing we have.

We will never concede. This is exactly what Tim was talking about, the defunding of NPOs and social service agencies, because of the weaponization of policy. And for them, cruelty is the point. So before I get to this next segment, I just wanted to read that question about, does Israel have the right to exist? And the answer is, according to Matthew Cook, is no. People have a right to exist. Should people be asking, do Palestinians have a right to exist? That's just sort of a canard question that gets asked by CNN. But what did Albert Einstein think? He fled the Nazi regime and he lost colleagues to the Holocaust. He was offered the presidency of Israel, by the way, and he turned it down. He said, I should much rather see a reasonable agreement with the Arabs on the basis of living together in peace than a creation of a Jewish state. My awareness of the essential nature of Judaism resists the idea of a Jewish state with borders, an army, and a measure of temporal power, no matter how modest. I'm afraid of the inner damage Judaism will sustain, especially, this is Albert Einstein's, especially from the development of a narrow nationalism, within our own ranks, against which we have already had to fight strongly, even without a Jewish state." And that was Albert Einstein in 1938. And in a 1948 letter to the New York Times, Einstein warned that the far-right party that would become the foundation of a modern Israel's current ruling government bore the characteristics of fascism and the Nazis. This is Albert Einstein's observations. Einstein and Hannah Arendt, the Jewish philosopher who wrote the definitive book on totalitarianism, Nathan Birnbaum, who coined the word Zionism and later renounced it, and Judah Magnes, the founding chancellor of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, all opposed the establishment of a Jewish majority state on top of an indigenous population that had become Muslim centuries prior. And half the world had a legitimate connection and claim to historic Palestine and should be free of ethno-nationalism and model coexistence and freedom of religion, not to be used as a tool for imperialism, permanent war, and religious wars based on imaginary differences. This is Albert Einstein in 1948. So this next little segment is just a little history of Islamic Spain for 800 years from 711 to 1492. It's just a very short blurb to it. This is Andalus. 711.

Muslims arrive in Spain. Everyone expects forced conversions, destroyed churches, oppression. What actually happened? The opposite. For 800 years, Muslim Spain became the most advanced civilization in Europe. Cordoba, 929. Street lighting, Europe has none. Running water, Europe uses buckets. 70 libraries. Europe has two. Public hospitals. Europe has zero. Cordoba is 20 times bigger than Europe's largest cities. The Great Library. 400,000 books in Cordoba. One Muslim city has more books than all of Europe. Not to cover it up, but to get to the bottom of it so we can get out in front of it and get it behind us. The government agency in charge of destroying public land will donate some of that land to companies building data centers. This is not a giveaway of public land to private companies, unless you factor in the facts. In either case, it is a matter of national security to prevent China from winning the race to destroy the human race.
