The first one we have is an adoption of a proclamation declaring July 2026 as the 250th anniversary of American independence here in Osceola County. I will read this, and then after done reading, I'll ask the members of the Historical Society to come on up right over here and join me for a photo and a presentation of it, okay? All right, the proclamation reads as follows. Whereas the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America as an unprecedented experiment in democracy, one that George Washington described as the last great experiment for promoting human happiness, and Abraham Lincoln as government of the people, by the people, and for the people. And whereas 2026 marks the 250th anniversary a founding of the United States known nationally as America 250, commemorating two and a half centuries of our nation's history, service, sacrifice, innovation, and progress. And whereas this historic milestone provides an opportunity for Americans of all generations to reflect upon the enduring ideals that have helped shape our nation and to honor the individuals who have defended and strengthened those ideals through our history. And whereas America 250 encourages communities across the nation to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, civic spirit, and diverse contributions that define the American experience. And whereas Osceola County is proud to join communities nationwide in recognizing this historic occasion through patriotic observances, including adorning the historic Osceola County Courthouse, Florida's oldest and continuous use in red, white, and blue throughout the year as a visible tribute to our nation's enduring spirit and history. and by holding its July 6, 2026, Board of County Commissioners meeting within its foundational Florida landmark. Good afternoon, Commissioners. Brenda Hernandez, Human Resources, to recognize those who are celebrating milestone anniversaries for July 2026. Celebrating 30 years of service, we have Glenn R. Siegler with our Corrections Department. Hi.

And now we are proud to recognize

Steven Weisong, Road and Bridge as the recipient of the 35 year Spirit Award honoring his outstanding service and commitment to Steele County. Steven joined the county on July 10, 1991, as a maintenance worker and currently serves as a senior heavy equipment operator in the road and bridge department. Over the past 35 years, he has played an important role in supporting the county's infrastructure and helping ensure the safety and quality of life of our residents. The Spirit Award recognizes employees who exemplify the values of public service through their work and commitment to the county. Stephen's longevity reflects a steadfast dedication to his profession, his team, and the residents of Osceola County. Stephen, thank you for your example that you have set throughout the years of service and for the contributions you have made along the way. Congratulations on reaching these impressive milestones and on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you.

thank you commissioners that's impressive jj you have to stay for the rest of me thank you guys for coming to celebrate that with him or next we have a presentation by mr dr mark channel from the osceola county school district superintendent regarding the school district's resolution to hold a referendum on the november 3rd 2026 general election welcome doctor thank you chair good afternoon commissioners

Thank you for the opportunity to be here today I stand before you, on behalf of our school board to introduce our operational millage referendum for approval to be placed on the ballot November 3 2026. it's important for me to share that this is coming from the school board of osceola county and not any other elected body and that this is presented. as to the commission as a ministerial act and not as any endorsement of any kind from any other body. I'm here to share the facts that bring us to this point where we are asking the community to consider their vote for special millage. Furthermore, this referendum is not based on anything that the legislature has or hasn't done. We have had phenomenal advocacy and representation in our legislators, um in our legislature from those that serve us so what is on the ballot the millage referendum is based on three key elements recruitment and retention of high quality teachers and staff the current safety and security posture we have in our schools otherwise known as the sro program and the preservation of extracurricular academic programs, arts, music, athletics, and student activities. So what is an operational millage? Operational millage is different than a sales tax in that it supports the day-to-day operations, not the capital projects funded through the sales tax. It allows us to localize the priorities around what is important to this Osceola County community. the quality of the educator and staff member, the safety and security of our students and our staff and our campuses and our vibrant extracurricular environment. It is also required to be renewed by the voters every four years. So why is this being considered? So we're seeking consideration of the voters because of the competitive landscape school districts have become. We have fewer professionals entering the teaching profession than ever before. We see cost escalations occurring for entry fees, instruments, referees, equipment, field maintenance, and travel. We also recognize that the cost for training and maintaining SROs in schools continues to rise. And should statewide property tax ballot measures pass, the ability for the municipality to shoulder the cost for the SRO program becomes burdensome. The alternative would be private armed security in our schools. While this may provide life safety support, step foot into any one of our schools and you'll see just how important these school resource officers are to the full mission. The proposed millage referendum would be shared proportionally with our charter schools and would be overseen by an independent citizen's advisory board. We have operated with an oversight board regarding the sales tax, and we have proven to be excellent stewards of the taxpayers dollars. So now it's time for me to share with you the official ballot language. To provide for essential operating expenses, including competitive compensation and benefits to recruit and retain high quality teachers and staff, maintain safety and security personnel,

preserve academic programs, arts, music, athletics, and student activities, shall the school district of Osceola County levy an ad valorem tax of one mill for four years to be shared proportionately between public and charter schools with oversight by an independent citizen's advisory committee. Why is the district asking for this now? So the market dictated when the most appropriate time to go out to be, and that is now. The education market obviously doesn't take into account other factors, but when we see neighboring districts already leveraging their voter-approved special millage or going out for their own special millage, it's time for us to pursue this as a community as well. The intersection of this special millage and the property tax amendment might complicate messaging But we're committed to sharing facts with our community so that they can make the vote that is best for them, whatever that vote may be. So who benefits from these funds? The students will be the primary beneficiary of the operational millage. Having a consistent teaching and support staff workforce lowers costs across the organization in new training and retraining. The students will know who their teachers and staff members are in a way that is consistent with how well they know their administrators or even their school resource officers. That makes things easier for parents as well. A protected and more robust extracurricular experience build stronger school communities that allows us to hold the line on costs for tickets and passing along costs to the participants and their families. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, we are in the business of developing the next generation of work tours here in Osceola County. It's important to note that we have the second lowest administrative overhead per pupil among the 67 counties. We're operating very lean already. we're looking at $100 million shortfall over the next four years. We already have cut a significant portion from our budget for fiscal year 27, almost $39 million. But this community is always rallying around its schools, whether traditional public or public charter. There's no county in Florida where the alignment between county and city governments, the school district, and industry are this strong. This has everything to do with your leadership and how you have elevated education as a community priority. And we're grateful for your time today and the privilege to educate students of all ages across our amazing community.

Thank you so much for coming in front of us and explaining all of this. I had a lot of conversations with our county attorney when I first heard of it. So I want to thank you for coming and clarifying a lot of that. Also, thanks for our school board. You guys do amazing work with our schools and always communicate with us. I appreciate that. Thank you for explaining that this is administratively how we have to do the process, because I think that's going to be very important. Obviously, talk to CCO and CSA, call us after this meeting. I do want to express some of the things and concerns, of course, always that comes to mind, especially for my district, primarily because there are so many rental units, right? and they are not exempt in the tax referendum that's coming forward. If it passes, or if it doesn't pass, our tenants are still going to still reap those types of, the landlords are not going to lose more because they're not going to be any benefit from those exemptions. And so this would be an addition as well for that, because obviously when landlords have to pay those to the consumer, each then becomes a renter. obviously those are some of their concerns right but we have and again you're not endorsing this i get it but like i said he spoke with our community a lot i don't even know why we've got to go through this process but i know it's a process that we go through um but thank you for explaining this and they absolutely love this life because i think it's because i have a tester at home um especially because I'm having I'll tell them all very soon so I'm sure that's going to be a topic of conversation maybe I could share just more information um really because it's been a lot more information from you guys yeah thank you commissioner and and uh we do have a slide that available for each of you we also have a fact sheet uh that accompanies the the power of ladies of the in LA

Yes, those are those are now publicly available. We're not too sure.

Okay. And just for clarification again, the purpose of bringing it forward now, I mean, we obviously wanted to do this now. Can you explain a little bit more as far as the purpose of it doing it right now?

yeah so um so a few things there's there's a few there's a few factors that play right we're in a very competitive and steep for chiefers and support staff so that's not just front of house but that's also folks that are working smart house but mainly supporting our schools we're currently having to compete against a lot of neighboring counties that actually already offer this

or it's already on power.

So what we're trying to do is we're trying to keep up with the marketplace as opposed to trying to get ahead in any way, shape, or form. This is merely us trying to keep up. Now, us taking the much wider view or wider scope allows us to look a little further ahead at what are some of the ramifications vis-a-vis school safety when we have to maybe look at the school resource officer program if the funding isn't always going to be there for the county's proportional share. So there's that element. And then I'm not sure that a lot of people know just how much the costs are accelerated for extracurricular attendance. We don't do a lot of additive change orders contracts. In fact, Instruction were really good at pulling the line. Where our change order actually had to come in was in our referee contracts because there's only one referee association for football and volleyball. They get to set the rates. And we're having, yes. We're trying to hold the line upon that. We're trying to address what is important for kids, what's important for parents. You can go to any one of our high schools on Friday night in the fall. The stands will be packed. It's a community event. So put on that community event. takes dollars. And these are not things that come through the normal funding formula. They're not supposed to. But as costs continue to escalate, it's incumbent upon us to make sure that we're not itching off of other student experiences in order to just make ends meet as it relates to student activities. Because as we know, and I was a high school principal for five years, What brings students into schools is not necessarily what's happening first period through seventh period, but it's what bookends the sport. You've got the Jumeisiyah-Mulgun side, you have the theater on the other, and that's really what draws kids in. We're making sure that those areas are protected.

That's a good point. I think extracurricular sports, all that, is necessary. I mean, definitely. So thanks for being proactive. And of course, thanks for doing this administratively. I will cut to a very common brain center questions. I appreciate it.

Which we both agree on. Should we share that? I'd just say thank y'all. If you're in Bristol, where you're going. And that's the job. Just like the dad, and then put the rest on point of reference. And I, I guess that's about it. Very funny. And the restated forum. And how it tentatively bags us online. So it puts you in a very good position. It's a position that I'm able to do is to involve with this setup. So, uh, uh full score to make sure you the trailer you the lines of which other vest and your muscles the bombs i think they'll not have bombed main pay district right so so it's not a big chair um it's uh still pretty fresh of a movie to call me we were We were one-tenth of one point away from the A grade. We need 774 points to be in the A-rated school district in the 7th and 7th grade.

So, we're going back. We're looking for the point.

Yeah. So just repeat the area of Pakistan. I'll said this is strictly a ministerial action by the word kind of commissioners.

The only legal action you all can take is to approve this referendum to be on the ballot. It doesn't mean you're approving or disapproving or whatever, you know, but it's still an only legal action. Which I think is good. So this is not legal action, that's why we've got perfect public time chance. We'll be putting this under the agenda for our event for the July 28th board meeting to take the ministerial actions necessary to lay some on the ballot. That's July 20th. July 20th. Our next meeting. Our next meeting. Our next meeting.

hi yes chair board hi i had number 17 on the agenda uh to discuss the sign orders particularly with regard to political science this season uh we've had some uh enforcement questions i wanted to bring this forward for the board to have a discussion with regard to yard residential and non-residential science places for cans already i as you're aware of what is the current view on the residential properties it is up to four size the maximum size of three square feet which will fill the sharing region by 24 inch size and then for non-residential up to 10 size maximum 32 square feet and especially in the diary conversations i've had with the board to We consider modifying this or giving it the same. So I really pray to the board's attention to have that discussion now. And if you decide that you would like to make some changes in the process, revision here or just spring back and forth. Ms. May?

So, yeah, it comes to my attention that this is not particularly my district because I have places that are pretty tight. But in a couple other districts here, Custody is a little bit more property. They can only put, you know, 24-foot size, and sometimes they don't put a core bottle, which is sometimes that usually seems like a lost core. And I think that's a reasonable thing, especially over, I guess, six-fives over there. I mean, I'll finish with this, so I'm going to get on you, where there's some really big spaces where people could put a sign. I think it's reasonable to allow somebody, not to do more than one, my preference, all these little names. United States, 1494, I don't think we'll create them, only during election times. Right back here, and I think all of you probably, you know that they'll create them up after, and the Southern Sun, and I hope to do a better job in solution to that. But I'm posting that right here, look at the presidential sign, organs and the contemplative modifier.

Yeah, I have this discussion with our community attorney and county manager. If it was up to me, bam, I'd have 70 yards ice. I mean, to be honest. I mean, I don't see as many bad actors in the field this year as I have in the past. But we've had so many bad actors in the past since I've been in the business. And so Street 15, you guys can see it as well. Me would just chunk them up in the middle of 192. Actually, I was driving an SUV here. I won't say where or who. But I saw a sign that I know that person did not have permission to put that sign in there. There's lots of it in there. She's not going to be able to pull it on either. But I saw that sign and it's just like, come on, D, with the signs. If it was up to me, I don't actually, it was your mayor, whatever, I don't care.

No, we're talking about signs on residential property. Residential property. That's my pet peeve too, with the sign in the right way.

My pet peeve is just seeing them at all. in the number pattern scheme. And so that's what I've asked me to determine. And I'll just go ahead and since this is the main topic of discussion, I don't mind at all if you put a four by four in an annual pattern here. I mean, I got some income before Cordae on my property tomorrow. But to be honest, I know that there's counties out there that have much stricter rules. I don't know what we're allowed and not allowed to do. I would love to have much tighter and then more dents that doesn't allow. And the Kudos to our Kudos, fortunately, to the Rose Ridge guys, because last election they did do a good job of actually going out and picking out a lot of new signs. But that's just my two cents on it. I wish we could go a long way into just saying, that 20 yards time i take it for yet because i don't like especially it's involved and you bring up district five that's true we have subjects made in your hand that one you give permission to do it or most of the time if you don't and you just start chomping yeah we're not talking about people that didn't know that i was special that's not true that's just me we're not saying that here If somebody wants to join me on this crusade, I'm ready.

That will take you join in on that, we'll say. But I will say that I do agree on both ends. Obviously, science always an issue in every campaign and every place, every location. And we always have that place regardless of what rules we bring. I mean, I feel like every single time for Cone and Morrison, and I've got broken bridges in Sicily, female botany gardens. But I do agree. I think there's many folks with huge I think we do have struggles. It's just difficult because you always have the back breaks, right? That's really what's already happened. um it's just about persistently monitoring as but i know disagree that we should and and once we apply for one it's applied for all and so everyone will have to follow that same bullet for those who go and just consistently after the most

But now I'm just standing through some quarters along, telling you on what kind of quarter it is. It's almost like you can put two sides. I don't need to open up in words here, but I just have a question. Some of the, I know presidents have asked me too and stuff, and I don't know if we're supposed to want to clarify this. So we, nothing to do with signs, but still in question stuff, is a person living in Osceola County for one year before running for office, is it, are we able to discuss that today to put that on the ballot on that?

Well, I haven't looked and see what the strict requirements are right now. I can, all happy with pain does that have met me a charter.

I'm just asking, but I'm not sure how that all works. Like a person living in the county.

So is it to say that I had money to bring up the retirement reserves and everything? I believe I knew and said you couldn't do that, but some cities do that. So Commissioner Targary is referring to a residency for any one year.

within the district that you are right yeah that was have you told me that was i believe if i recall correctly the charter review commission actually discussed that at one of their points this is like four or five years ago now sort of come up again and yeah there was case law out of south florida that addressed that and that's what this is doing i have to pick up my most of the specifics

I was just saying is there a charter county or would that be for, if we were a city as well?

Well, cities might have different rules, but they serve for counties.

And that's actually what put it on my radar. I've been traveling down to March County or Seminole County or some of the surrounding counties during the election season. The one point master of my four other signs of this one. Take that right here. That's all I really got. It seems like other counties around us have strict, I guess. I don't know if they do or not.

Oh, I see orange too. And there they visit me. See me. Why? I was shocked. I wanted to do our part in fact. There's a pile of different election signs. Go and check it out. I don't think they're stricter. Or they own, of course.

I'm honored to let everybody know that our very own Nika Ransom was recognized in the 2026 Bandard Affluent and Progress Equity Award.

I'll have to let you sit in the boot seat. But she's been open for 20 years now, does not say any job. Really excellent service to the community, and she's empathized, so a great team member. She is for Osceola County. The only thing that she can't get right is she keeps calling me Mr. Fisher. That's a sundial. There is a third. And then congratulations to any group. I'd also like to share that Osceola County was invited to the Build Freedom, Match the War Force initiative that Mike Rowe is leading, the Athens Pentagon. It's really recognizing communities that are doing outstanding workforce development, program and national events. I also specifically write it because we've been here. We've got a long track record of working the Independence Street. Building a workforce that's exceptional. We're only 100 of ITs to go. Poor Amanda traveled like 10 days on vacation and landed at Food DC. representing the county that Vanley and Akers are doing that. It is a plump private partnership where Mr. Rose, you know, the third jobs guy, or Frank, didn't have been well as such. Hey, folks, I beat him.

Wow. He's got salt hands.

Good job, sir.

That's funny. The, uh, it's a public private partnership where his organization will support attending college private global clubs to develop their calculations that's for equal of that thing. In full process, we can only be invited to that event. Thanks to me and the program for that. But that's all I have to say.

Oh, boy. All right. Bear with me. It's a lot. And a hard two slides. I'd like to use that. So I'm going to go ahead and go quickly. I'm happy to partner We'll support the public health and our aerial firefighters to do a fashion to safety event over at our Alameda Spaceman. We'll donate to all the children participants that might have a book about safety and they got their story and they were very excited to be here. Next, I also was happy to present once again the Boise Girls Club. over at the Ronald Bear Center with isolation for sewing classes over at the YMCA. And that's pictures of them having their lesson, all of the children participating in that. Next, as part of my key natural plant, I was honored to be able to attend the transportation of Summit for Veridians for Vedic Transportation. We had our Florida Department of Transportation Secretary on the team there, Jared McGill. By the way, that song, we're the heels of that. We're a group of very tall people. Cam, where is he?

Well, I was thinking that one of myself and one of myself. So a great transportation story. We also have the Federal Highway Administration person there. So it was a good summit, and then we were happy that the meeting, the firm met up with me, and I was able to show guys that we were focused on it. Next, they cited, or Ted Loggi had a copy of Ted Loggi on June 26. They're taking on a sighting that you've seen out there. A lot more, I don't know, I appreciate that, right? Nice, right? We're looking forward to the really fun involved week within the next couple of months here for three, four performance on the tech wider and, uh, hope to see all new at that greater. Uh, next to solve some, uh, information are healthy seniors and issues with three, all that. I have some video. Let's say be sick coming up. As well as the next slide, some AT classes, which are to be learned by all the seniors. This is what? next we also have coming up the ribbon-cutting final meet after so many years for Brent Acino with the Osceola Townsville Aging we're very excited about this project they are ordering the take-home applicants he had somewhere close to 600 applicants for $60 of course the need is there and we are looking forward to to be moving in shortly. Next, I thought we'd share some pictures. As you know, I had sponsored some banner poles, which I used for the holiday over at Butteridge Lake. And I thought it was a good opportunity for the county to put some of our 250th anniversary celebration, and they look phenomenal. There are some pictures of them. We'll have cosmic community services, veteran services, Florida Department of Health, community legal services, and Enable. So it's a great way to learn about what's available in your community, and that is going to be out of housing curie services over on pine street and then lastly we've had a back to school getaway so it's a backpacking away on july 31st and probably this is out again from 9 to 11 at the heart memorial in downtown cassini it is for um sorry kindergarten through 12th grade And the first 400 had 400 backpacks, so in line, and they come stuffed with lots of cool supplies. And they, the library actually has the dents and such as well, so it's great. What's this, a caddy from the inner?

No. So, I decided to see her. Where can the game go, even, for an average life? We had a ton of fans on, and they don't even remember looking at March. We were shirt shoppers.

So we just had, we actually joined The all good scenario is now the awkward nerd Murdoch's in new ownership They actually conducted an event often a lot about AI in the scanning that is where they are and one of the things that I myself in person win is the old presentation on looking for those signs, like alerts, text messages, and then they've already seen them. But most importantly, now they talk about how they do voice cloning. So the seniors were actually pretty knowledgeable that they already started hearing us, and we talked about the safety when it's put in place, password, something, a keyword, the name of your family, because they can now clone our voices. and call. And so those were conversations we were having. It worked really well. We've done a few of these now and a lot of students do really appreciate it. Just know that the target market is senior citizens. We've really got to just let them know to be cautious. We did hear from a few seniors and it was sad to see that some of them were already scammed. Out of money, of course, and stuff. So it's really hurtful, longevity, and obviously financially very much so as well. So that was something that we're doing and I plan to do some more of that.

It worked really, really well.

The next thing is, oh, I'm joining the Bro Osceola business series. I'll be doing a class and helping a little bit with the mindset of momentum for businesses. I saw businesses that you can bear as learning support. And so I've been doing a good fun class at Humble's before and a lot volunteering to help teach about the mindset for your business, the small business momentum path. So that's going to be exciting there on July 8th. And then we are having our pickleball town hall. So you might think, how do we talk while we're saying pickleball? The trick is we're actually going to have the town hall first and then pickleball right after. So in order to participate in pickleball, you do come to the town hall and you do have to register. We're going to have obviously updates for the district, updates to the county on what's happening and do have lots of updates, especially the concert transportation and some of the growth that's happening in that area. If you do want to attend, please be sure to register. You must register to attend. It's located at the front yard, Pickleball location. It is a beautiful, huge location. It has space all the time. I want to thank them for having us over here because it's been a great information. Also, I have a slide in there, but not photos, but I know a few of us attended the Florida Association of Counties this past week, and it was great to catch up with some of the commissioners that we see. They're all going to have great conversations, specifically about the referendum coming up. And firstly, I can say to you that it was great to learn what other counties are doing. But most of all, I know that the Florida Association of Counties is doing an offering as far as videos so you can watch and patient to see what's affected, what's not affected, and what some of the information that all our residents should have. So personally, some people go there and you want to platform it, a personal oasis to do that because it's a big thing. And today, folks, you know, as a format, we have two folks that have passed, one of them is Michelle Welch. She's a friend to me. She and I, me and our cousin, we meet sometimes for lunch and just catch up and saying they're great people in the community and Of course, my heart goes out to family, to Mel, and to everyone who has been really good to me. It's a surprise, the tourists in this island. But I just want to say, my bones, it's a huge, huge, you know, relief.

I'm happy to know Ms. Welch. Since I've been involved in the local leadership here in the county, I've become a friend of Michelle's about a certain time. Thank you for saying that about Ms. Welch.

He won his state championship at Harvick High School. So, I don't always get those all the time, and I'll see all high school guys on every now and then, and I'll meet us too, but Nathan got me this shirt, and then you were able to give him the recognition in my office, so it's fine. I was lying to attend, but I heard we had a good crowd. It looks like they had a lot of fun, or at least they contended to, and pictured a thing, didn't you think? No, I heard that all went well in our acoustic community center. I was sensitive to the beautiful location down there. So I'm glad that went well. All right. I wish I could say, actually, can we roll this one forward and let me give it to you and come back to this? Is that a possibility? Yes, thank you. So the 4-H soccer, so these are some 4-H offerings that we, the UF High Business Extension Office, so they're having the soccer game. I'm not a soccer fan. I stayed up until midnight last night and watched England and Mexico. It was an amazing game. First sports fan, it was an amazing match. Anyway, we're having a soccer camp here, a 4-H soccer camp. I was a 4-H-er in Fort Worth. Warren still is a 4-H-er. So that's July 8th. So coming up this week, there's one more. Yeah, our youth, NASCAR Nationalists. Some of you may know that we have the National Guard Program out there, which a lot of folks like to participate in. and learn how to grow plants of fruit specials at your home. This will get us started early here, so that's coming up on that next week, or in a couple weeks. So make sure you get signed up for that at the UF IFAS Extension Office of 4-H online.

I wanted to end on this one. So a couple of things. First of all, Onvo got to become friends with my shirt on the school board. Always invites Representative Booth and I out to the graduations, the summer graduation, all the graduations. I happen to generally only make it to some of them. If you want to hear some amazing stories of people who have, if you don't want to do, maybe have probably never very known, they do finish high school, young men who maybe got on, you know, substance abuse, couldn't finish high school. Actually, this year, a Jamaican man who was a, A head firefighter in Jamaica came over here, picked me a job as a firefighter, picked me a job in anything. We were there, had to go back through school, his high school in the plaza. Hey, talk to us, call me, and maybe we can get you higher on. But just amazing stories of people who were in the building, finishing their high school education. And as you see, that's a school board member, she was there with us as well. But I just want to thank the whole staff of the Development Center of Osceola because it's amazing the work that they do and to hear all of these stories and to see the folks so excited to finally graduate. It's a big, big deal. So thank you for that, everybody.

I just want to say a couple more things.

First of all, I want to say thank you to the staff. I know I've mentioned the county manager a couple of times about Having a meeting in here just means a lot to me, and being from one of the pioneer families of the Camelian, I guess I called you before, but my very great father sure did, and I'm sure there's a way in some way. I don't know if I'll go that search here in the 60s. So it's really neat. to be over here in this goalie as a county commissioner. So I just wanted to extend my thank you to the management, the county manager, and to the staff for doing that. And as we celebrate July 4th for now, the inbound nest, I just want to remember that We always heard that Washington and Jefferson had a threat. There was 56 men who signed that Declaration of Independence, and many of them had their estates taken. Some of them were Georgians. Some of them lost their family members. We don't always hear those stories of those men who sacrificed their families, who weren't the Washingtons and Jeffersons, right? We really signed them in effect what could be the death of a life. So it's good, I think, sometimes to go back and remember all the men who signed that document and put their lives on hold and put their fortunes, their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor as they wrote when they signed the deprivation. So happy birthday, America. Have a wonderful Fourth of July and two months, I think.

Yes, I'm not spoken word of the whole West New Zealand, do you? As well, real quick, we had our Inquiry Community Resource Center. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in making that possible as well. I had a chance to attend the K-Way Prom Rating, but it was a substation, meaning a routine band meter. Actually, it's a band meter substation, but I'm a genius more than a focus. I'll be honest with you. So, but I'm so very excited, really cool to see once again a family that's committed to work for a member of yours to be honored in such a way as well. So we're excited to be able to do that. If there's any chance to go to the Chamber's Workforce Solutions Summit where I spoke on Hustle and Prosper with Kathleen Kleski and what's going to be going to highlight the measures we're taking to move education and workforce development over here in Hustle County. I was not able to attend, but once again, good turnout. Everybody saw I was having a good time and we're thankful that my team was able to do that. Once again, more senior initiatives coming up as well. I've got my hurricane game that's coming up, too. I'm going to be running around the room, down, spritzing over water, you know, see how it goes out for us. But at least if you've got someone who likes to run out, or if you've got a senior you're able to do something with them, send them one of these opportunities. free hard to check coming up very shortly so that way we can make sure as you all know for the July New Year's Eve $4.00 for animals so missing on that day than any other two days of year and we're very waiting for us to be able to quickly return them home to the homeward and sitting inside of our animal services foster care at Foxberry County so please get your dog or cat or bunny I think a bunny in the program we had a third one flew in here so it's a mile Um, Mr. Danner, we got some balls too. We're coming together to get those banners up. It took us a little bit of a while to get them on board, but fortunately they were able to come together. And then what Mr. Ricci said is great. I think anytime if you get in this building, it's always exciting for celebrating our history here in Osso County. I remember as a kid what this building used to look like when it's referred to as the annex. And on the front side of the building, there was this of the Fisher Green Mowers, this ugly addition. This building did not look like the historical thing you see today. It had been used and modernized up through the 70s and 80s, which is usually a never good modernization of any language design. I was hoping my mom would still be here, but she was kind of in there. We did this in since it was a big project to her and actually have a historical relevance to the facility, which you're in. So it's so cool that we still do have this. And I know we still do have trials in here as well. I was just asking what the original seats were because those are not the actual seats that are supposed to be in here. But I was informed those hard seats in the 1920s are not very comfortable. But what a great piece we have. And our team is looking at some notes. I'd like to just refresh and give everybody a little bit of information about our facility as well. This courthouse was a unique place in Florida District as the oldest courthouse to be in continuous use in the state of Florida. It first opened in 1890 after voters approved. I thought this was a fantastic note. Voters approved and a 193 to 191 vote to issue $30,000 on violence, curse, and destruction. So we say we're divided into other worlds today. I don't know how you get any closer than 193 to 191 on the bottom. In addition to port, early guiding meetings, such as guiding mission meetings, were held in the schooling, and that's where we would use the port house as a backdrop for our July 6th board meetings. to honor our nation's historic, current, and heroic day. Throughout 2026, the county is decorated with historic courthouses in patriotic red, white, and blue, and each sign that is lit up in those colors is a visual community symbol of our county's commitment to Democrat and idealists. We've also developed a special American 250 logo, which I have on top of a cup pen right here, and I see it on the banner, on the balcony, and on the American 250 theme in Cheerios as well. In addition to the outdoor decor, the communications department is partnered with board support and facilities to bring the history of the Consolidated Canada Forehouse to light with a newly developed commemorative timeline. In building on an original concept, our team reimagined a brand new departure, expanding the timeline to include additional milestones and significant events including today's board meeting being held here in this courthouse. Today, the building remains an active part of our judicial system, serving the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida as an extension of our court services and hearings conducted alongside those across the street, as well as ceremonial lettings of the Catholic bill foot of the board throughout the years as well, whether that's on Valentine's Day or on COVID, as we just happened as well. Yes, we're here to answer everybody's as well. As part of our celebration, we've engaged the Parliament to have created this limited-distance commemorative time-out, so please make sure you grab one of those. We also have the record slides and collectable envelopes and stickers, and also available outside for you to help us celebrate our historic workouts and the District of America's Semi-concentennial. What is it? In addition, we're thankful to the Oslo Historic Site for owning a miniature bronze statue of Preston Williams and the Pioneers. Is that accurate? Make sure you see it around on the way out. The original statue is in the Courthouse Square, which was commissioned in 1987 as part of the Osceola Centennial. After the name, it will be on display outside the County Commissioners Chambers in Report 4 of the Administrative Empowerment. This project protects our commitment to preserving Osceola County's heritage while connecting the Presidents with people, places, and events that help shape our community. As we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary, it serves as a reminder that America's strength has always come from ordinary citizens whose steadfastness, sacrifice, and belief in self-government continue to move our county and country forward.
