Approval of minutes of the City of Orange Traffic Commission Regular Meeting held on June 10, 2026
Recommended Action: Approve minutes as presented.
Installation of red curb on both sides of the northern driveway serving Esplanade Elementary School
Recommended Action: Approve red curb on both sides of the northern driveway serving Esplanade Elementary School as follows: approximately 30 feet to the north and 25 feet to the south.
Request for permit parking on both sides of Washington Avenue from Grand Street to Center Street
Recommended Action: 1. Approve the implementation of permit parking along residential frontages on both sides of Washington Avenue from Grand Street to Center Street. 2. Forward to the City Council for final action.
Request for permit parking on the south side of Almond Avenue from Olive Street to Glassell Street
Recommended Action: 1. Approve the implementation of permit parking along residential frontages on the south side of Almond Avenue from Olive Street to Glassell Street. 2. Forward to the City Council for final action.
Request for overnight parking restrictions on Poplar Street, north of Orangewood Avenue, and Sequoia Avenue, east of Eckhoff Street
Recommended Action: Approve the prohibition of overnight parking between the hours of 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM on the following streets: a) Both sides of Poplar Street, north of Orangewood Avenue; and b) Both sides of Sequoia Avenue, east of Eckhoff Street.
Recommended changes to posted speed limits on various city streets
Recommended Action: 1. Recommend the speed limit changes presented in Table 1 of the staff report. 2. Forward to the City Council for approval.
Selection of Traffic Commission Officers
Recommended Action: Select a Chair and Vice Chair, effective August 13, 2026, for two-year terms.
