So it is an action item. Oh, okay. It's a motion. Waiting for a second.
Not quoted here: it may name a member of the public. Hear it at the meeting.
All right. Counsel, would you like to have any questions?
Before we actually take a vote on this, I think Jonathan would like to say something. Jonathan, would you like to step forward and share something with us?
We have a motion and we have a second. All in favor? Aye.
All in favor? AYE. Motion carries. Thank you. Mayor, welcome back.
I just want to ask, because I know we've talked about the vehicle gate access for quite some time out there. How do you see that ever getting accomplished then? I mean, is it roughly $10,000 a gate? I mean, so if you have three accesses and... I mean, I'm just trying to figure out how we'll eventually get that part of the project done.
I would just urge us to keep working towards that because I think that's an important part of the security of the airport. Agreed. Thank you, Councilman.
Thanks, Alan. Will you please join me in the pledge of allegiance to our flag?
Mayor, I would move that we approve the agenda order for this action meeting of city council on October 14th, 2026. Second. I have a motion and a second. All in favor?
Yes. I'm just wondering, and I'm not sure if this is streets or, it's certainly public works, so take it. I was just recently driving on Main Street at Coal Creek where the stoplight is located. I don't know if this was initiative driven or city, but there's some flags there for crossing, you know, the orange flags on poles, but they're just stuck in this chain link fence. So if we're going to provide them, we need to create a bucket or something for them. But I don't know if that's just people do it on their own, but they were just stuck in the chain link fence.
Noted. It's not us. We didn't create flags for the pedestrians to cross.
Could you just reach out to Matt and just find out what's going on there? Thank you. That's all. Thank you.
That's what is in your budget that we award. Okay.
And we charge for room rentals and things like that?
OK. I'm curious, and I don't expect you to know this answer, but I know that there's library conferences and things every year. What would a place like Park City, for example, what would they do with $2 million? I mean, did they have a renovation? Did they have? No, they're paying 150.
Well, that wouldn't be more dollars. I'm being 50 serious. Anyway, okay. Thank you. Congratulations.
Scotty, I have a question. Yes, sir. On your Thanksgiving dinner flyer, you have Extension, Utah State University. What is their role in this?
Mayor, I would move that we approve the consent agenda that is laid forth. Second.
No, no, I just want to make sure that was clear on the record. I'm sorry, where is that comment at? That we're replacing Jill's seat that she held. She passed away. We're not releasing her. I just wanted it for the record. So we'll make sure we correct that. I did miss one thing. I wanted to ask a question on one of the bills, and I meant to get to somebody earlier this morning, and I forgot to do it. We are paying for porta potties on the industrial Fort Cedar Road project. My assumption is, but it's an assumption that it was for the pump track installation and stuff like that, was that not…
Okay. So let's go back. You'll get it. I mean, it's tough.
I just wanted to let council know, and you, Mayor, I also spoke to Devin Squire, and very much the same kind of questions, and I asked why environmentally we had to do this, because there are no prairie dogs out there in that location, whatever it was. And I kind of got a similar answer to what you stated, and it's much more on a national level. I do want to say, and I express this to some people I spoke with, this is over a $100 million project, and we are not going to return that money because of a median. What we need to do is see if we can find a solution, and I think that's what's…

Why don't we give you his phone number and you call him directly?
Russell, I shared something with Eric this afternoon, this morning, whenever it was, because we have a similar frustration. on one of the design elements from the city standpoint. Both the mayor and I are very concerned about a location of a detention pond. And it's in the plans, it is done, we can change it. Now, when we take over the project, we're gonna try and go back and get that changed and pipe the water in the right direction. But it's done, and we're stuck with that. And we're not happy about it.
