Yes, Mayor, I would move that we approve the agenda order for this work meeting October 21st. Second.
We're a small city compared to West Valley City. That's so true.
Sounds like you guys have done this a few times. Probably got some practice. He's got the vest on underneath.
Not quoted here: it may name a member of the public. Hear it at the meeting.
Can you point out where your property is?
Where's the barn right now that was just... Barn is about right...
So the brown dots that go north and then somewhat west again, they don't go all the way to the airport road?
Yeah, where are you talking about? So I understand. Right there. Thank you.
Just a couple of questions. I mean, and some are comments to think about, like whether it's an industrial small development or whatever it's going to be, there's three properties on the north that we don't know what's going to happen because BZI is going to be eventually moving. And whether they sell that property, we don't know who will take it. I mean, there's a lot of unknowns there. But you're still going to have to have access to sewer, water, things which I'm assuming are in that road, but that's an assumption. I don't know that.
So as you develop, are you going to have to go off that private line, or are you going to come up from industrial?
And I need somebody from the city, whether it's you, Ryan, or whether it's you, Kent, explain to me, because I hear quite strongly from Councilman Schmidt that we can't possibly go through the city yard. And so I need to know why we couldn't.
Yeah, but you can secure fences on the other side.
We just did two rows out by the golf course and neither one of them are straight.
The animal adoption shelter. That's it. Shelter.
So really help me understand the difference then between a master planned road and a dedicated road. I don't see the difference.
So if the standard is the same. Well, I can't answer that.
Question with what he said. Don't go away, Steve, I have some questions.
What are we doing? Doing a deferral. Maybe.
I saw they went out and tested him once a year.
I just wanted a clarity on where is the property line for the city in BLM because we can't control BLM property. We only work in coordination with them.
Yeah, but do we own all of that behind it where he's talking about all the motorcycles are, right in there?
But the irony of all this to me is if we have the police try and do some more enforcement up there, they're going to have to do it with a motorized vehicle of some sort.
Yes, and look at some mitigations with our equipment like has been suggested.
It doesn't change the terms of the dates of the lease? Nope, nothing.
Councilman Phillips. I just wanted to applaud you and staff for putting this together. I guess I would say that for me, at least in my role the last nine years, this is pretty much what we've done. It's just that we didn't have a policy written for it. So all we're doing now is putting it in writing about kind of what the practices already were. So kudos to you, and I would move that we put this on the action agenda for next year.
