I just think it's probably better. Yeah. We'll put you in the middle.
Again, congratulations. I'll just put my two cents in of, as an IT guy, I was working with the nurse anesthetists at Kaiser Permanente, and they are very special people. A lot of education, a lot of people prepare for stress through anesthesia, but they We're super dedicated to their patients, just like it sounds like you're going to be. And good luck, best wishes. I know my former business partner is a former pilot, so I know he'll be very happy to hear you're going to UP. But congratulations and best wishes. All right, that brings us to public comment. Public comment is an opportunity for…
She'll distribute them. Thank you for coming tonight. Thank you. All right, that's the only sign-up I had tonight. Is there anyone else in the room who would like to address City Council on an item that's not on the agenda tonight? All right, I don't see anyone in the room. How about on Zoom, Nicole? All right. For those folks in Zoom, this is your opportunity for public comment. I'll give you a few seconds to get your hands up so Nicole can recognize you. Anything? All right. So we'll go ahead and move on to our consent agenda. Our consent agenda are items that are considered routine. They…
I have a motion and a double second to adopt the consent agenda as ready. Any discussions on those motions? All those in favor say aye.
Didn't hear that. Councilor Gonzales got unmute. Aye. Thank you. All right. It's unanimous. All right. That brings us to special reports. Our special report tonight is the Republic Services 2025 Annual Update. That will be Lindsay Marshall along with Cindy and Travis from Republic services. Welcome.
The Metro Council heard about it. Yeah, yeah.
All right. Questions for Cindy and or Travis? Or comments? Council President Pratt.
Other questions or comments? Council Brooks down here.
I just got three wonky little questions for you. So on the pizza boxes, I thought pizza boxes went in the compost, in the compost garden bin. Which one is it?
And then on the metal, on the pots and pans, is there Teflon? Is there any limits or any kind of pot pan?
Cast iron skillets? We really want those. Those you pass down generation to generation. Yeah, exactly. All right. My car's outside. All right. And then on my favorite subject of Metro, any impact, and you don't have to answer me now, but I'm always concerned about when they jack up their fees, it's a pass-through to you, and then it eventually becomes a pass-through to the residents. So have you got a... I'm assuming you already did some number crunching on the 9% increase in impacts possibly to the community or TBD on that one.
You already know what they're going to do next year. Yeah. On the Recycling Modernization Act, I thought a group of manufacturers has challenged that and have taken it to court.
It's all my wonky questions. Anyone else have any questions? I love the wonky questions. This is your last chance. I'm going to miss the wonky questions. Oh, I know how to get a hold of you. You know where we are. You know where we are. Yeah, I know where you are in Ritter Road now that all that construction is done in Wilsonville. Dude, they still have the roads there. Oh, it was closed last week? They're still out there. Closed it again? Okay.
Yeah, and to get to that intersection is a nightmare.
A little bit. Well, welcome to our railroad track issue now. Do you have anything, Councillor Gonzalez?
He's frozen. He's frozen, yeah. All right. Well, thank you for coming tonight. Thank you. Thank you guys for giving us time. All right. So that brings us to general business. Our first item on general business, item number one is consideration of resolution number 5990-26, authorizing the city manager to enter into a strategic, Investment Program, or SIPP, agreement with Washington County and Lamb Research Corporation. Starting off the conversation tonight are Marnie and Sid. Welcome. For those, Marnie represents Washington County and Sid represents the city of Tualatin.
Hit the guy with the little face. There you go.
All right. So just so folks remember, this is a resolution. It's not a public hearing. So it's a little bit looser, if you will, in terms of formality. We will be taking comments from folks who are for the project and those who are against it. As far as Q&A, I'll probably wait for questions from the counselors until after we're done with comments in case there's a question for questions. a speaker or a commenter, kind of like we do for a hearing. I want to kind of keep that kind of process because it's fair to everyone. So with that, gentlemen, you can probably sit back, and I'll start with,…
