Not quoted here: it may name a member of the public. Hear it at the meeting.
It might be a solution that they put on telephone poles. There's ways around. It's got to be.
We'll follow up with staff and let you know.
Thank you for coming tonight. Thank you. Appreciate it.
government a local government issue it might be something where we reach out to the governor affairs people on some of these places I know I don't have anything with those three carriers it was Comcast that'd be different but let's see I'll see what I can dig up and you know with the governor affairs folks and on the big carriers and Like Sherilyn's saying, we don't have a lot of juice. It would just be a matter of poking them and saying, hey, what can we do? Bridget, do you have something?
I'll reach out because back in the day, that's why there's a crap ton of antennas on top of Meridian Park Hospital because that had the height to cover that neighborhood. Exactly. And they make... I mean, it's a lot of antennas. I'm running a park hospital.
All right. That brings us to our next item is the project update on 65th Avenue and Borland Road intersection. There they are. Mike was hanging over there. Mike and Abby, welcome.
Other questions? Council Heria and then Council Reyes.
Other questions? I can't see. Councilor Gonzalez, do you have a question? Can't see you. Okay. My question is, this seems like a weird example or a weird circumstance. Is it a city road or a county road? And what's the classification going to be in the future? Are you aware of any other instances of something like this in Washington County where half a road is a city road and the other half is a county road? Or responsibility? This just seems weird.
And in terms of design standards, obviously all design standards have to meet Washington County's design standards, so there's not going to be an issue or improvement in the future that one of the design standards is out of whack with the other side of the street?
My last question is, you just mentioned it, my favorite thing with the county, sidewalks. Who's in charge of the sidewalks on both sides, and who maintains them? Because we've got Norwood Road, and we all know about that one.
Okay, so it's the same as, even though it's there right away.
Do you feel comfortable with this arrangement? I do. Okay.
Okay. It just seems weird to me that a city-county road, it's usually one or the other, and this is like a blend.
Yeah, it's a bit of a blend. One day we have a mischief project on this. Holy crap.
Okay. Any other questions? All right. So you need anything from us or it was just an update?
All right. Well, thanks for coming. You have one more?
The north side of the road will have it. The north side of the road will have it.
All right. Anything else? Thanks for the update. All right. Thank you. All right. So that brings us to agenda review, our reports and roundtable. Councilor Pratt, you're up for the Pledge of Allegiance tonight. The announcements will be Councilor Hillier and Sacco with the science and technology, correct? All right. Any questions or concerns with the consent agenda? We have five items on consent. Council Hillier.
Okay. With that, I think that's that, that, that we'll go ahead and start the round table and we'll start with our city manager, Cheryl Lambos.
On that point, when I drove by 12, 30-ish or so, the I-5 south exit was backed up from Tualatin past the Bridgeport exit to get off. And then if you looked over at the Tualatin Park and Ride, you could see all the way down the road, cars just wanted to make the right-hand turn movement. They were way down to Club Sport. So it's a design that the signs are a joke from ODOT there. It's ridiculous. And, you know, first off, I'm like, or a what? They had the state highway name as the detour. It's terrible. Yeah, but it is. It's bad. Yeah, it's bad. Yeah. Okay. All right. Thank you, Sherilyn. So…
Councilor Hillier. Councilor Reyes. Okay.
That's it Busy couple of weeks was my pleasure to the final safety town of the summer spent lunch with the littles and that was again a lot of fun a lot of peppering of questions and a lot of bad jokes oh my god but it was fun with so the jokes were kind of fun but did I didn't try to tell any I just got a lot of kid jokes thrown at me... Later that afternoon... The clapkins county... Mayors met with the Chair roberts... Discussion there was the recent resignation or of a the the Clackamas county sheriff and who was running for Clackamas county sheriff and then what does Clackamas county do…
That brings us to our announcements. We have one announcement tonight, and that's our Tualatin Science and Technology Scholarship. This will be led by Councillor Hillier and Sacco.
It's tricky when it turns red. There you go.
