Amen. Like to establish a call and call our meeting to order. We'll start with the pledge of the allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Now to the Texas flag. All right, everybody. You seated. Like thank everybody for being here tonight. The first item that we have on our agenda is the approval of the minutes for the meeting held September the 8th of 2025. We have a motion we approve the minutes.

Our next item is to consider resolution R-825-1025 designated the designating the official newspaper for the city of Milshu. Raone mayor will require designating an official newspaper for the city of MSU on an annual basis. Uh what this resolution does it designates a MU journal is the official newspaper for the city of MU. As a matter of fact, tonight we have some representatives for the mutual journal right here. Do you guys want to add anything to that? You don't have to. You're just welcome to if you'd like to.
Uh, no. I just look forward to continuing to highlight the different uh groups and uh growth that we'll be doing here in Milo. Um, and please anything that I can do to help get the word out, let me know. Perfect. Thank you guys for being here.

Next item is to consider ordinance O-555-1025 amending the existing Amus Energy franchise agreement. Mary, what this uh ordinance does, it like it says, it amends a current agreement uh for the purpose of adding third party uh value of gas. The current one does not address that. And what that means is any company other than in our area uses their lines and we're have the right to uh franchise fees as well. That's what that does. I'll make a motion that we pass that resolution or that ordinance. Sorry. I'll second it.

Mayor, we're required by law to review the investment policy on an annual uh basis. I believe u you guys will provide a copy in the Dropbox. If there's any questions, Tamara is right here. We do that on an annual basis. There is no uh changes to our investment at this point. Anybody have any questions? I'll make a motion that uh we approve the investment policy.

Mayor, the SPAG annual general assembly meeting was attended by staff on Wednesday the 17th at the science spectrum. The TML annual conference will be in forward uh October 28th through the 31st. The SE code program has been completed for this year. It was a success. Um starting November the 1st at the city of M. We have a newly remodel website. Um launch day is attended the first. Uh we anticipate an updated website will be more user friendly for both the customers and staff. Uh city room has volunteered to help with a snack pack for kids on Wednesday, November the 5th at 5:30. Uh if you guys were able to attend, please let us know. Also, the city management staff took part in the find a needle meeting with Chuck Coward, a community impact specialist. This was an effort to cultivate vision and strength, the sense of community. Um, there were several groups in the community that took part of this. Uh, city of Mel's annual flu shot clinic for employees. There were 19 participants and also the M city mutual city council hosted a tournament on October the 4th. There's a grand opening event for the pickle ball course located at city park. Uh they were open to the public use. So and that is all I have.
Does the council have any remarks? Sure. I do want to say thank you to public works for the pickle ball courts. It's pretty cool telling everybody that y'all did that, you know, that mesh did that, everything. Um, basically, you know, putting it all together. Um, it's just really cool to see that. So, I'm excited for it to grow. People have been really excited for it. Already asking for another tournament. So,
it uh seems like it's already getting well used. A lot of people I see in the evenings out there playing and so appreciate all the staff, all the council. I know I couldn't be there, but I do appreciate you guys putting that together. Sound like it was a great map. All right. Now, we're going to move to uh our executive session. City Council now hold a closed executive meeting pursuant to the provisions of the open meeting law chapter 551 government code Vernon's Texas codes annotated in accordance with the authority contained in section 551.074 to discuss personnel
