Namaste, Namaskar and welcome to the 12th of August, 2026 Zoning Survey. My name is George Schroeder and I am presenting this survey as a zoning administrator. And I would like to start this session at 4 pm today. Today's hearing will be held in the hybrid program. Staff members and some community members will be present here. However, during the session, we will ask the community members who will be joining us virtually at a certain time what they would like to talk about. When they get the opportunity, they can click on the Raise Hand feature in Viszoop to announce the topic on which they want to speak. The speakers will be informed first about what they want to say. All speakers, whether they are virtual or personal, will have 2-3 minutes to give their tips, which will depend on the total number of speakers for each topic. If you are present in person and do not want to tip on the agenda item, then please fill in the yellow speaker card for us so that we can write the correct spelling of your name for the meeting. The next part of the meeting is an emergency communication from the public. This time is reserved for those who are not included in the agenda and want to consult the zoning administrator on any matter. The time limit for the speakers is 3 minutes and the state law prohibits any action on those issues that are not in the agenda. So now I will move on to item number 3, which is the official announcement of the zoning administrator. Item 3.1.1080 is on the Law Avenue Street 8 unit B, in which the first and final use permit is to be expanded so that 8,890 sq. ft. of existing indoor entertainment use can be allowed in the building and the existing construction use can be established on the site of 0.925 acres. Along with this, it is expected that this project CQA will be released from the CQA based on 15 to 18 facilities according to the California Environment Quality Addition CQA. Vincent Kwan, Project Planner. Vincent, do you have any questions? Hello everyone. I am Associate Planner Vincent Kwan. I am here at 160 Anita Street, Unit B for Indoor Fencing Studio. I have come here to submit the permit for Indoor Fencing Studio. So, the project is located in P39 or Bayshore Zoning District and is in an area of approximately 8,690 square feet. There is no change in the area of work or business.
Permit was granted in May 1, 2024 to start using it. This was decided within two years.
However, due to various reasons, Avidak was unable to start using it within that time. However, Avidak continued to work with the city to increase the use of the communication with the city staff for the building permit. And started the process of collecting in April 2026. Aavidak has presented a new plan to meet the requirements of the permit and the original permit has been applied for the building permit within the specified time. And therefore, it will be told in the online post that on the basis of the specified terms and conditions, the staff zoning administrator is recommending the permit to be granted to Vistar Amruth. Aavidak is present here today.
The staff is available for questions.
Okay. Thank you very much. I will hand it over to the audience. Do you have any presentation for us today? Hello everyone.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Xin Jiang. I am the representative of the Beset Fencing Club. I don't have any speech today, but I would like to say a few words. And we are very grateful for the support of the city in the last few years. And you know, we were the first fencing club in the city. And we feel that this is a good extra for the community. And for various reasons, we still need some more time. That's why we have applied for the extension and we want to continue the service of the community and we want to make a bigger and better contribution in our city. Thank you very much and welcome to any question.
Okay, thank you very much. No question from me. So now we will move towards opening the Sarvajanik Tipani. And I don't think that there is anyone from the audience here today. So I will see if there is anyone on Zoom who wants to speak on this topic.
No, no one. Okay.
Okay. Well, seeing that no one from the audience wants to speak on this topic, now I will ask Avedak, do you have any other tipani? Okay, no problem. Now, I will end the Sarvajanik Sunwai. And on the basis of the item 3.1, which was submitted by the online posts of the Nishkar Show and Sharton and the municipal workers, it has been found that Abhidhak has tried his best to establish and fulfill the terms of the permit. And this building permit will take more time to be completed and more time to be spent. Please note that this decision of Manjuli can be appealed within 10 calendar days within Nagar Parishad. And along with this, today evening at 4 p.m., our hearing ends at 11 p.m. If anyone has any other questions, please contact Project Planner Vincent Flood.
