This is for the u approval of John Batista, an individual to be hired as a pool consultant in preparation for the upcoming pool season. This appointment would be from February 11th, 2026 through through June 1st. In order to prepare uh for the pool season, John has been a longtime employee and director of the town pool who has since I guess we could say retired. Uh and while we're in a search for a new candidate, John will assist the recreation department in all the uh preparatory work prior to the season. The pay will be $8,500. It is covered by the town budget and the town has the right to terminate at any time. Uh, with that I move for approval.

Thank you. And just a shout out to Mr. Batista. Uh, he has had a lot of positive feedback from residents throughout the community. So, we're sad to see him go and happy that he's willing to uh keep his job for slightly longer to help us. Next up, I have resolution 92-26. Next line item. 16 to 17 year old non-drivers are $16 an hour. Um, if it was with their age, that would probably be illegal.
I misspoke. I apologize. I saw the age on the next line. But, uh, so with that, I uh I move for approval on resolution 92-26. Motion by Mark. Second. Second by Danielle. All in favor? Any opposed? Motion carries.

The way to do it, just a quick little lesson on signing up here. I spoke to the chief this afternoon. Uh it's quite simple. Just go to our website, mountpleasant neww york.gov, and follow the tabs. There's a tab for emergency notifications. you fill out the form and you'll be notified if there's uh water main break or if there's a road closure. Um I have it, we all have it in our phones. It's instrumental in notifying our residents. I encourage you to go to the website and sign up. And the total price of this um annual Nixon renewal is $3,278. I move for approval. Please.

Thanks so much. The next item, Mr. Supervisor, is from Goosetown Communications. Again, it's from the police department. This is semiannual uh rental for even tide logging recorder. Again, I spoke to the chief this afternoon. This is really important. If a call comes into a dispatcher, um everything is recorded and not only is this for legal purposes, it's for uh emergency purposes that all the phone calls are recorded. Um so it's good to have. I think it's required by law. We were discussing it and the price is $4,50. I ask the board for approval, please.
