My only thoughts are is looking through the accounts payable for this We have specifically within it two charges on a credit card. One of the charges has to do with a travel meal. Henry Clark, Glenwood. Mainly on property taxes and zoning. Self-interest, we own two acres as you approach Malvern. So I'm really asking for two things. Even though you hear all this from me today, I'm asking for two things. One, I'd like you to change the zoning from Malvern City all the way out to 34. For sure. It's currently AR. Subject to you can just see this. They need to forget to use it, sell it. Two, I'd ask you for a 20-year tax abatement for my house and individually any businesses I own. What I'm giving you here is a request for zoning. I'd recommend two things. Either one, change the zoning I'm proposing or get rid of the economic development, okay? You need an economic development, move it over to the Mills County Board of Supervisors, give them $20,000. When you use $100,000, you all know the specific number it gives. My point being here is right now we have the northwest corner of Mills County in the zone for commercial industrial. Council loves to slowly harnessing that. We have the bottom ground where the levees haven't been certified. Personally, I wouldn't go put $500,000 down investment there. Also, we have the mega center, which really doesn't have that much to do it. Basically, from economic balance center, we don't have much bait on our fish. What I'm asking you to do is, again, 100% Malvern City, all the way up to 34, switch it. Two, there's very little land left, but from McDonald's south to the railroad overpass bridge, go ahead and zone all that to commercial. Most of it's already commercial. There's only three or four spots. Three, whether it's the GRC Development Group, county, the city, those chamber of commerce. Like someone to go back to the state of Iowa, West Hall ground, 4th, 34th, the state school ground that's up to the GRC for free.

Like that commercial industry. Now we've got more pay down.

And we gave them a choice when we put the zoning out, what they wanted, if they wanted one mile or a two mile, and all they wanted at that time because of certain conditions and things was one mile.

They might be in a different position. They have one of the higher property taxes. I haven't been inside, but from the outside, the school looks great. It is. But they probably have one of the highest property taxes in Polk County. They might be more amenable to say, let's put more people on the tax roll. But anyways, if y'all would, that's one item. So my $2 million of savings I gave you is not included. $2 million plus the $23 million on the state's program.

All right, we got everything back. They had our trade in set at $69,900. We told them it just looks a lot better at $70,000, so they came up an extra $100. $70,000 trade in, that makes our total price $362,862.16. We had budgeted $365,000 after trade-in, so we hit that one. We've got the figure again, $362,8162. Yeah, this is just... I guess updating for the trade-in to the total cost. So we have it on order. I didn't catch exactly when he said it would be coming in, that it would be available. I know it's much sooner than it has been in the past, where we had to wait at least a year. I expect we'll probably within three to six months.

General discussion. We got our paint delivered. So our contractor will be coming here in August to be attending my payment markings. Also just got an email when we arrive at the board meeting. Stayville should be coming in to sealcoat our roads, they said, as early as next week. Just as long as that logistically works out with those, I'll talk with the foreman. They got to bring in some chips and stockpile them. And then come down for that. So that would be ceiling H12 that we tore up last year and then begin seven miles total. Other than that, just getting caught up. I was out for a week at the fair. The fair was really good. Very, very hot on Saturday and Sunday.

So, I guess I kind of just want to know your thought process on when we're talking about when equipment's going to be, or just when it's going to be replaced. So, how do you come up with that schedule?

So, it depends.

For hardware like this, it really comes down to when we can no longer use it.

So, this is scheduled because of the Tyler software account. So this hardware is recommended to work with their software. Otherwise, we use those scanners basically for scanners. That might add a piece of life. Computers, it's more dependent on the software. So even though a computer might have useful life, that software is no longer supported the operating system. A lot of the hardware, the older hardware is not capable of running the software. That one is a serious reaction. It might be OK if they can't run the latest software. That's really what I do in that form. So if a computer don't want to be closed from us in that particular. You have to place it or something else. You have to like it.

Why do you want to go with the three-year term and not the five-year term? one, budgetary, it's easier to swallow, and also that technology came pretty quickly. It walked into a particular service plan that, as that technology evolves, especially with AI and everything, there might be additional features that we want to swap out after three years. Whereas the hardware is going to be good after three years with that software. So maybe the service will be one-on-one change.

The last item, this will be upgrades to our website. This is very related to the laws around 88. All of our websites, the documents we post publicly, and the apps that we publish for the public have to be brought into the Title II 88 device by 2004. That's a fairly large undertaking. Our starting point is the website because that's our most competitive, I think, platform.

So we're looking at two pieces.

One is an application called AudioEye, which basically adds technology that relates to the website. So anyone that has a disability, whether it be someone that needs an assistive screen reader, audio capabilities, color blindness, it adds tools to the website that allows them to turn those speakers on and off based on the subject on the website.

The second piece is called document access.

Document access is to retarget all the PDF documents that we publish on the website. So it takes those PDFs and makes a PDF file. So it adds a link to the universe and things like that, all of the PDF file.

So those two website add-ons,

The annual recurring service fee is $9,156.60. Annually. Annually.

Barber, not quite finished with our current service. We are going to pay a $2,000 appropriate fee for this first year.

So $2,000 for our initial term and then reduced for the next year, I think about $9,000.

That's on top of our income. So you need to order your things for some peace. The budget is $25,000. So.

So as far and wide as we can. So hopefully we have a good turnout. I don't know whether you can have me back on that, of course, but we're expecting it. Great event this year. Good. Done our best to include absolutely everybody around the square. Anyway, we'll probably start to close streets. It really is one o'clock. Sharp street for sure. So we can get the ladder truck set up. That's a nice touch to the event. It is. That's all I have. So what time were you thinking about actually saying good job? Warehouse lawn, so what I've done in the past, and what I've told everybody this year, you can start setting up as early as 8 a.m. as long as it doesn't interfere with warehouse functions. So I assume that's okay, and if it's not, start making fun of it.

It's worked in the past. People have respected it, so I think it'll be okay.

And most of my people set up tables and cup chairs and bring their stuff when they actually show up to stay, but they're Shades prime relative when this event happens, which is why we try to usually have bounce houses because they're set up towards bounce houses. So as Jack was helping serve at the barbecue, we asked that the fair board get back on the schedule again just to do kind of a recap update with what we previously talked about with financials and supervisors backing fair board. So I've provided Nate put together one here. So Nate put this together for you guys. It's got an updated year-to-date 2036 statement of operations. So the fairness ending, we've got some of that updated information. It's got this kind of commentary, a little more explanation, and then an updated summary of, you know, where your funds go. So we have our gift supported, and then we have our useful at fairgrounds. So kind of high level, we are operating in a negative cash flow, which is something that we as Care Board are going to be meeting in a couple of weeks to address, try to understand what we can do. Sponsorships were about the same as previous years. It's just cost of the business is more. trying to make improvements on a fairground, so that's an impact. We love offering night events. Obviously, you can see here, we don't pay money. We lose quite a bit of money on our night events, but we want to make sure that the fair is a community event that folks will come out and be entertained and sense of community. So we really don't want to Lose out on those opportunities, but that may be the first thing you have to budget.

Well, we get your building paid up to help you administer that. That would help tremendously. We pay a huge weight off our backs to try to.

We've been discussing that for about five or six years. It's nice to see that you're making some progress on it, but it would help us open up some lost funds that would help you cash flow better.

We have a good chunk of extra lost funds this year compared to prior years. If I remember right, it's around 175,000. We're able to help the fair board save money, not only for them, but for us when it comes to interest on a building like the Lakeville building, get it paid off before they have to finance their loans.

It's a win-win for everybody.

It gets hot in New Orleans 8 degrees for 3 days straight. It would cool down to maybe 98 degrees at night. Humidity you could cut with a knife. 3 and a half box we had to walk from the hotel to the convention center. You can break a sweat in the first half block. The heat down there is unbearable, but boy, they have some very nice venues down there. It was so hot, nobody got out and done anything. If you did, you either waited for the shuttle to show up or you just called an Uber and went for a ride because you just People would be standing in all the shade and then they'd be standing in front of the hotel doors and the cold would come out.

It'd be cool.

But they had some very, very interesting programs. Every table you would sit down to and talk to, sooner or later, it came back to data centers. Everything evolved around data centers. What are we going to do about it? What can we do about it? The main speaker down there, he says, do not, absolutely do not give them a penny. They want to come in. You want them to come in. They pay for everything. Because he says they can. Right now, there are a lot of counties that are allowing them to come in, and southern states, especially in South Carolina, seems to be a hot spot. They're making them produce their own electricity. They're making them dig their own wells. Water has to be purified to a certain percent of state regulations when it comes out of the units. So there's a lot of things that, you know, right now we're setting pretty good as far as a data center coming in here or something, but I think we need to sit down and re-look at it and Maybe write some more student law rule regulations to go by. Right now they're not allowed. Right. No, that's one of the biggest things. We had a very good meeting on opioid. I got some notes and stuff that I'll be writing in my article. Put down, you know, all the states are having the same problem. Regulations from the state to the counties. I talked to three major, Polk County here, Lynn County, the other big one over there. Anyway, you know, they draw for a million dollars a year. And they're sitting on this money. They can't spend it for anything. And it's like they said, this is totally ridiculous. You know, what we can do with this money if they would just allow it. And All the states are the same. Everybody says, oh, you can't spend it for this. You can't spend it. No, that's not drug-related. You can write anything you want to be drug-related. And there's a lot of states that are now, the counties have pushed. They put Narcan in the high schools. It's there for the kids. They got a problem, they need it or something, it's there. Maybe they will go to the drugstore and ask for it or something. It's kind of like a vending machine when they put it out there. That's about all I have on NACO. I didn't have any other meetings.

Was the food good at least?

I didn't go to the last event because they were going to have 63,000 different types of food at this event. What was each? Each parish down there, and each parish consists of anywhere from 9 to 26 counties. And each parish brought in their specialty in food. So there was 26 different menus you could go off of. It was quite the thing. Everybody that we was kind of pulling forward to get second vice president got beat by the young lady that was kind of a dark horse in the race. I didn't do too much about her, but she was a good speaker. She came and talked to the Iowa delegation. She just kind of in our presence, you know, and I think that's what changed a lot of people's minds.

Good. Well, last week I had a Golden Hills meeting talking about the finances of Golden Hills. Finances of Golden Hills have been a little rocky for quite some years now, ever since the federal government really went away with RC&D. So we're working on getting that turned around. One of the things that's helping us the most is that Lance Chris Boyce is now the head of Golden Hills. And, of course, he has a great relationship with Michelle Franks, which is with the Iowa West Community Foundation now. And so we're getting things turned around. And it's looking good for Golden Hills, but it's just going to take some time. And then last night I had a meeting with a few of the members of the EMS Advisory Council to talk. kind of about what their proposal is, levy amount, what the funds are going to go to, and a strategy to get it passed.

Did they change the levy amount?

Are they going to go higher? So they voted to put it at $1.50. It'll still have to come to us, my understanding.

But I know there's that meeting next week. The MS Supply Chain Council, I'm going to plan on going.

So, you know, it's not out of nowhere. It's a reason why. Last Thursday, I had a Health and Human Services meeting with ISAC. And Friday, I was, I'm chairman of the ISAC legislative committee this year. So, we'll have Zoom meetings.
