At this time, I'll open the floor to public comment. Is there any public comment tonight? Just a question.

What is the South Suburban Mayor and Manager Association and how does it benefit us for the 9,000?

I mean, I guess the name says it's South Suburban Miners and Managers. It's an organization that's been together for a very long time. They're a huge advocate for every municipality that's part of their group with local, county, and state issues. They also help us with, it's called a GIS consortium, which is, Superintendent Swanson can probably explain it better. It's a mapping system that we can easily look up our sewers, water, I mean, right? Yeah. Superintendent, trust to kill you, and I mean, it's a great, great organization that... Well, Chrissy DeLaVentris is super, she's...

thinking out of the box, she's always advocating for us. She knows a lot of legislators and she works with them very well. She sponsors some, she has worked with them to sponsor some legislation that will benefit the South Suburban area, the special needs of the South Suburban area. And they're, from any town and there's a great relationship between that organization and the individual towns. If we need something, we have a special concern, we can pick up the phone right away, talk to her. She knows about it right off the bat.

Thank you, sir. Just a couple things this evening. First, our CMAP traffic safety study plan is in its final stages. I expect to have the final draft by Friday. I will be sending it out to the board for review. This is the traffic safety study that we've been working on for about 18 months now, and it's a comprehensive plan of traffic safety strategies to reduce accidents, especially fatal and serious crashes. This plan will be on our agenda for the next board meeting on the 22nd for approval of the board. If anybody, after you review it, it's about 98 pages. If anybody has any questions or comments in advance, please send them to me and I'll have CMAP ready to talk about those on our next board meeting when they present the plan to us. I want to congratulate the Milwaukee Police Department for a $27,000 organized crime grant that will be funded for fiscal year 27 beginning July 1st of 2026 and running through June 30th of 2027. This is a grant that Sergeant Covey applied for through our relationship with CERT and it will be used for equipment to combat things like retail crime throughout our community. Next, I just wanted to let everyone know we will be applying again for our COPS grant. This is a great opportunity for the Village. It is a grant that allows us, that provides for up to three salaries of three police officers for three years, a total of $125,000 per person per year. So if we get it, it is a huge savings to the Village. It can be up to $900,000 over the course of three years. Three years. We did receive this grant once before. We used it from I believe it was 2019 to 2023. Don't quote me on that. So we did receive it once before and we are eligible to apply again so we will be applying for that. We'll know something by fall. Our newsletter is in its final stages and it will go into editing probably early next week. So please, if you haven't signed up, sign up for our Midlothian newsletter. You can sign up on our website and it has a lot of useful information from all of the departments and the board. Our streetscaping project is also winding up. We will be meeting with our streetscaping committee sometime between now and mid-August to finalize the plan. We will be bringing that to the board so that it can be reviewed and voted on, and then we will start seeking funding to implement that plan. And I think next week I will have for discussion the redevelopment agreement for the new Baja Auto, which is the old Tasca Ford. They are currently working with the building department on permits. I believe the fire department has approved their fire alarm system, and they are working on that. They are hoping to open as soon as possible, so look for that new car dealership on Cicero Avenue to open. Hopefully they're hoping in fall. We'll see. And that's all I have to say then, sir.
