I was going to say 605 local is um Elsa Yeah, right.
Since Justin is not here, who would like to volunteer? That's very quick. Okay. Whatever comes any public comments and not deferrals, additions, deletions, anything you want to add. I I want you to refer to that email that has the links to the customs
different things. I know we didn't print it, but just make sure that you look at them because we're thinking of discussing, you know, we're going to let's see what the report from Justin, you know, includes. So, we'll see. So, the thing do you want me to read out the email that he sent? Well, when it comes to this
review the minutes of January 27th Yes. Okay. We're in the ministry. Who? Motion to approve. I approve. I make a motion to approve the minutes. Motion to approve. Second Charles second.
Yes.
Hi, please. L E V I B Y L E V Y
we're just going we're reading the minutes percentage. Okay. Uh at our last meeting we assigned tasks to people. Um so far I I basically use the same format that we did for the anniversaries was organized. Um the stage the light and um fireworks any updates on that? Um they have been reserved um and confirmed. The stage the stage um and the fireworks too that's under contract. Um same um vendor from last year. FX Pro, right? Light FX Pros. Yes. Um and the stage is the same stage that we had at the 25th uh year anniversary.
Big one. 24. Yeah. Yeah. It's large. It's large. Yeah. Because Sergeant Bar was asking how big is it? Yeah. He was concerned about the size, but they have a big bed. Yeah. We'll talk about that. All that is secure with lighting. BJ the same. The same. Yes. Confirmed. Confirmed. Master ceremony. Should we have one or
I mean usually the chair serves at this master of cere but I don't want to be on stage and talking. You know me. Um if William is good if he wants to do it. William Perez. Okay.
We'll ask him. Okay. He can finish if he wants to. It's going to be fine. Yeah. Uh okay. The live band is going to be the third army band. Um Jackie uh got us the band just so proud of you know being able to live and uh I I connected with several uh people from the band and this one is the the one that is the official one that we his name is uh I know his name g a r I'll give you is first sergeant R and um he'll be you know in charge of and he's going to provide us the the the national anthem singer. It's going to be I don't know if it's a woman or a man and he has all that taken care of. Um his band is a 34 or 36 piece band. They're going to be performer different pieces. They're going to do you know the pledge of allegiance all that. um unless we want to bring the voice cast here. Um it's up to us what we want to do.
I think the pledge has always been done by the veterans committee and the American Legion. Yeah. So that sinker you had last year, is she going to be there? No, no, no. They're getting their own. Yeah. Somebody else is not coming. The third army band is getting everything. Yeah. Okay. So the pledge of allegiance is by who? Veterans Committee. Well, we haven't asked them, but we usually do. They usually come all the veterans to the stage. Yeah. And then they do the pledge. Nice. Okay. Veterans. I think it's the American Legion. I guess a veterans committee. It's the group of American.
Most of them are interchangeable. Yeah. I'm on both. So, we're going to ask them, you know, I mean, I invited everybody to come. So, just ask for all the veterans, all the veterans to come to the stage. Yeah. So, we have the live band confirm. I'm going to follow up with him say that we approve, you know, having them. I think we approved it already, but national anthem is going to be them sponsorship package. We just got Okay. Yes, make extra coffee. Oh, yeah. Yes.
Um, and then yeah, she has I already started. When I start, I start. So, people are going to be saying, "Oh, there goes. Elsa is back in business again." Anyway, I received a call from Fred Sandra today and he had received the email that I sent him because I I saved the the package. So, I attached to my email and then um he told me yes that uh Miami Lakes Almo is going to sponsor. Wonderful. However, he doesn't know the level yet. So, he wants me to touch base with him at the end of May. Okay.
But they are going to do something. Okay. So, I have a couple of questions because I went ahead and I did a lot of different emails. Um, Felicia had given me this print out that is like a 100 pages, but so I went through it people that I know and that's what I'm going to question. If you're a council member, you're not off limits, right? If you have a business, if you want cannot be your political campaign or your campaign to be reelected. Okay. If you're a council member and you have a business, your and the council member as a private citizen and that business owner
may um Okay, perfect. So, law firm or whatever can do it. Okay, perfect. Great. So, that's that was one of my questions. The other one is um I'm trying to just have a variety you know like the hospitals, the the real estates, the banks. So I went after Jerry TD Bank who I know very well um Bank United and people like that. But um I was thinking do you um what about the hospitals because I kind of lost my contact in Baptist. We have a contact with Baptist. Okay. If you can send me the contact with Maria Lisa. Yeah. Okay. Marisa, is she still there?
Oh, yes. Oh, no. I know her very well. Okay, then I can go ahead. I wasn't sure if I could email Marisa. Yeah. Yes. Is her contact. Okay. And then as far as um Memorial, has they have they said anything? Have you guys approached memorial? So Isle's first day back was yesterday. Okay. and I asked her to send the uh sponsorship package to her the the people that she was usually yeah was very much in contact with and memorial was one of those um I'll reach I'll I'll make sure to to ask what um if she received anything duplicate yes yeah there's no confidence
just ask her because I know that usually memorial works well with you so that's why I didn't want to go that route I I do know I know that Maria Louisisa is very interested in getting involved with the town and especially Fourth of July. Perfect. So because Yeah, if she's very interested that would be a good sponsor.
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Great. So that's where that's where I'm at. Just going after people. Um you know I usually this is six months before the event like let's say for our festival when I used to do it I was starting October. The festival was in March. So, we're going to try and get as many people as possible, you know, that we can businesses to sponsor, but I think we're going to be fine. I also um uh sent a an email to Vicki Bakery. Um you told me Olivo, but they have a business in Sra now, which is the one that I'm going after, which is food, right? So that would be uh so I'm just going by you know I'm fortunately I know a lot of people and I've been in touch with a lot of these people. So that's where I'm I'm at right now. So I think the breakdown of the sponsorship is uh uh stage which is 7,000 platinum how many how many are well stage is a stage platinum platinum
yes that's okay the kids so the lady on so the main three this lady on Shalom. Not through the chair. Okay. I would think whoever wind up being the title sponsor, we're not going to compete with anybody else. What the what? Whoever is going to be the title sponsor. Oh, the title sponsor will be the the stage. The stage.
Okay, that's what I'm saying. But nobody else would be on the stage. If we cannot get the same,000 I think if somebody Yeah. Well, you have to be careful with that, you know. I think if somebody decide to be the state sponsor Yeah. I don't think they'd want to compete with him. No, no, I know. No, they want exclusivity. That's for sure. Yeah, that's what you have to give, right? Absolutely. Exclusivity because we do have when we used to do our grand sponsors, but the way we got around it is that we had the car grand sponsor and then the business grand sponsor. So, we split it that way.
So, that might be a possibility. The stage has the platform for a banner and they have the top for a banner that we choose to have two sponsors. Yeah, we could still divide it into like platinum and sort of like you're really on the top. It's an upgraded state. Yeah, we're upgrading the stage. The council
the council um was very generous um uh with us and and our request uh was approved. So, we're getting the same uh stage that we had for the 25th year anniversary, which has all the LED screens on the side. Yeah. The real one, right? So, so we can because it's digital, it it doesn't have to be sad. So, we can sell additional. We could sell 30 seconds, a 20 appearance of 20 seconds, things like that. Like almost like a
new one. When someone comes on stage, you can see the person. So while the person is on stage, we don't want to be distracting with advertising. It's when there's like a break, we can do that. I mean, we can work with a FX production pro unless we have which is I agree that's that makes a lot of sense, but we could also have a fixed promotional material when they're talk is just fixed watcher. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's let's move on to order.
The other thing I wanted to say is the reason that I had is available make copies in case anybody here has someone you know that they think that is willing to sponsor then please then let me know and I'll be glad to explain. So let's let's so for the bronze we have how many how many can we sell? Unlimited. So this is one limited. Unlimited. Yeah. Yeah. bronze state sponsor one bronze and the silver can be as this is the only one that is limited the kids so the kids is limited limited to one to one and the platinum
two no the plat limited and then the stage is also one so unlimited limited But the stage sponsor does not say that it has exclusivity here. We're just assuming this, you know, but it does. Oh, yeah. There we go. Company category exclusivity. It does say. Yeah. Yes. So, the company category was
what we're talking right. Yeah. If someone let's say is a is then they would have we're going to have we're going to have jacks right at the hospital but if somebody else comes Yeah. Yeah. Believe me a car somebody like that then we could have that sure also. Okay. So, keep in mind that having those digital screens allows us a lot of flexibility. Yeah. Um with the um marketing with the marketing for for the the sponsors. Yes. That's why I wanted to give something more visual
like showing the picture of the stage and we have anything from the 25th anniversary? Any videos or anything that we could go back? Videos and but I wanted some more. The thing is I'm I'm a graphic person. I like visual things. So people instead of reading it, I said this is what you get. We can have a picture of this or whatever. Make it very visual. Can we can see what they're paying for through the chair? Can we maybe have someone somewhere along the line create like a 30 second almost like a commercial of
Yeah, we can we can have something like a promo. like a promo that like a promo that I could carry on my phone. Um Molina help Molina this is what we can do for you or C or Py's Bakery or Miami Lakes or Yeah. Yeah. We can we can provide that to whoever. I mean she's handling the sponsorship but you know you can give her the information because we don't want too many people out. I mean we want people to bring sponsors but you know we need to get organized. Yeah we need to get organized because people don't like to be well by more than one. Totally. The go-to person would be you. Yeah, I have the person.
I already contracted Amy. So, as far as Vicky Baker, I already contracted. So, you whoever you think that might be a possibility, if you talk to them, then let me know and then Right. And then or
anything else on the sponsorship? Any concerns? Any ideas? No. No. Vivian, you have any? No. We'll get to your faith. Um, quick question. As from the sponsor, um, vendors meaning as the vendor. We're getting to the vendor. That's on the agenda. Yeah. Okay. Yes. Okay. We done with sponsors. Yeah. The sponsor date. Next item is food truck vendors. Uh, do you have any updates to Oscar?
Um, the communication with Oscar. He said hi and that was it. I try to contact him twice already. Maybe he's really busy or maybe Yeah, but he he doesn't realize that. I mean, I know he has his group of people because I know he used the same people for the I think it was the holiday something recent that they did all the Eastern. I know which one is the Yeah. What's his name again? Oscar Oscar. What kind of food vendors were you planning to have? Well, uh, I gave him a list of simple foods like, uh, picnic foods, hot dogs, hamburgers,
burgers, corn, people don't get them, ice cream, food. Um, he I think he he provided two. One is [ __ ] the other one is is because I always I mean we want to make it, you know, I know I know the guy that has the the hot dog also has them on this company. I don't mind the hot dogs. It's a simple one like New York style which I love. Right. And then and then we can I just have to say but I think it's a list of what he has
from all the he mentioned to somebody I said oh they're very very about the food yeah we have to because otherwise we have and fourth of July you can do it not forever not forever you know this one this one's special the whole thing is with Fourth of July just knowing cuz I grew up here and yeah you know it was always barbecues which you consider consistent of hamburgers, hot dogs, chickens, ribs and things like that, you know. So, if we could keep that to you from the beginning
and then I said, "Have you checked?" Um there's a guy I know the pizza is not recorded even though I think I think pizza is a great option. There's it's not for the July but the kids if you have children yeah I mean just really hard because I kind of looked it up and the real food during those days well I'm going back to you know the turkey leg. I love the turkey leg. Oh yeah. I mean, I had a turkey leg the other day and this is $22. And this Yes, the turkey legs in Disney. I mean, they're delicious. One turkey leg can eat, but yeah, $22.
There used to be a guy that I that I hired him for my son's birthday many months ago that he was in Coconut Grove and he had those gourmet hot dogs that were unbelievable. He had a cart. He had a card. The PO box is really nice. He goes back to He goes back which is I like the one what they do is they cook them and they back them back. Yes. They're using it. Don't keep in mind that it's 10,000 people with a lot of different taste, right? And they need to be prepared, right? So if they have to bag things, you know, it's for them to keep the line.
Yeah. I understand your concerns about, you know, having Americana food, but remember, it's,000 people from everywhere. Totally. Totally. Yeah. Let's have a let's have as well. We can have the the German sausages, too. I mean, I had I made him a good list back to me and I and I and I met this guy in the yard there in the front like a little their face there, but there's a guy that says um pizza, uh pasta, and then he told me you want to, I can do to Wow. My god. So, it's uh I I told him, I gave you the number. So, I
I say pizza is very It's handheld. It's a handheld. Yeah, it's affordable that and you know we just got to feed the kids and for the show you don't have to spend I'm always thinking about the money that they the family needs to it's like have to be something quick and for one event I think and I think you you had a sliders remember that's the guy with the grill right the grill yes the sliders were good again affordable they're not huge one pound burgers. It's just enough for you to
Yeah, I have a couple of slider um sellers that they're very interested. I mean, I I was at the farmers market um Saturday and there's a guy also that has this big oven there selling making pizza. I said, "Well, if we cannot get pizza guy from from um you know, from Oscar, we'll get you know people are eager." I mean, when I mention that you like Yeah, people are eager, but we got to get commitments here.
Um, one bon for one on one side, I always want to save people money because I'm thinking about me and going out with the whole family, but maybe there's people out there that want to have a glass of champagne. Speaking of that, uh, Oscar mentioned or asked if we were going to have a beer garden, and I said, "Yeah, definitely." I mean, it's like we'll sell beer and if people want wine, we have wristband make a decision of cuz we had it one time. So I don't see a problem there. It's just having someone or maybe have two two pat for wine and one for beer so they don't get mixed up.
What was it that we had some cakes that were donated and then we could Yeah, we had we had the concert with um Oh, the concert and then we had beer. The Nicole. We had a guy that came in. Yeah. That came in with a special beer. Very good. We have some locals here that have Yeah. That So we can we can decide that we want the beer garden or two stations. The beer and the wine garden. I think I think if we can accommodate two beer and wine cuz I'm not a beer drinker, but I could have rather have a lot of wine
if it's a good beer. My favorite beer is what is it which is American is the oldest American. How about if I reach maybe and that I like is the oldest American but I can find out who we use at our festival with you guys had a great set of this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fabulous. Yeah. I think it's uh the the the people from um I yeah let me let me let me get you the information on that or you know will we give it to Omar the information so we're going to have a beer garden yeah
wine gardens beer I mean on top of all the other stuff beer and wine people like that beer and wine and the food we have to get that list of food. Oh, one thing that Oscar mentioned to me that he can fit 10 to 15 trucks in there. So, I don't want too many because we're going to have the games, too. So, we don't want to be too crowded that people can even move if we get. So, um let's, you know, let's plan that. Um
I know they gave us the site plan really late. I want something. I think it was an anniversary. We have like like what we had last year and then just lay out, you know, how many trucks we can fit some trucks. Um, also I contacted the lady that had the little sign that says or not at all, but she has all kinds of coffee, Cuban coffee, American coffee, Italian coffee, all kinds of coffee. So people can I think she was here for the anniversary one. Um, ask if he has a space for you. No, go ahead.
Have you been to the wine festival? The coffee guy, the guy that it's always by the by the end of the desserts coffees. He does he always does the wine. He has like the little cute small one. And she I mean she hasn't replied back to me, but I need to get everybody, you know, Oscar in contact with them because he starts saying, "No, I'm I don't have enough space already." and you know is having that lens to the landlord because I think they already have all their papers what is it the the county
yeah the permits permit whatever permit and the town hasn't been on five so it's checking you know who's really going to come in and come through the chair yes um this lady right here with a son could we u skip protocol let her do her presentation Let her do let Vivian speak what he's saying. Yeah. Where the Vivian just went out. She was sneezing. It was amazing. Let her do
Yeah. No, because what we want to do I know she has her own setup inside the the community center and she brings the stuff with the kids. What I was thinking of because I remember that link with the different costumes that we could dress up the kids with, you know, like the little special hats or something so they look I know. Let's dress up like you know, Fourth of July, but make it more like a like the idea of the historical. But you mean like her her group? Her group. Yeah. Because remember her group there.
Yeah, I know. We were concerned about the fireworks and all that. So, they stay inside. What I'm saying is because I know they do a lot of films about them in the in the video that that guy does. Um, and it's it's just shows the kiss of the little flag. If they could be like dress up with something, you know, like well, you saw the I forgot to print it, you know, the different the outfits are awesome. They have the soldiers, they have the the pioneer dresses. It's very nice.
And and that's the look I want because I've been telling everybody it's going to be special. It's going to be special. It's going to be very nice because everybody has the, you know, the modern look and all that, but we can have that too. But but if people can just, you know, when we can do a photo op, historic people going customs, that would be nice. Um, we can have that too. The photo ops photo ops. Who's going to handle that? Um, again, anything else on the food truck? I guess we we'll, you know, that's an ongoing thing. So, we we'll we can update that at the door and get confirmation on who's going to be I think we should have it confirmed in the next two weeks.
Is there any way that um you could meet with the officer? Does he know about this meeting? Was he told that we were meeting today? Not really. I I send the the stuff to I think it's like I I get updates from him and I thought he had contacted him. So, uh he said he tried but he couldn't get a hold of getting home. So, it's going to be you know I mean he came like several times here you know. Okay. Okay, Claris. So, would you have a way of reaching him or he respond to you? I'm trying right now, but nothing.
Nothing. You That's it. I mean, I He doesn't answer. But you've dealt with him before, right, Clar? No. No, I have never been. So, I So, the last is I always I've been I've been talking to him actually. He text me the other day and he asked about the beer guard. Okay. And so, you know, so um I'll contact him again. I think he'll respond to me because he doesn't know. Yeah. He doesn't know. Okay. Let's move on to the next one.
No, no. Like I said, uh on your uh on the room, the way you set it up, I know. Yeah. We're having We're going to provide the sensory zone again this year. Um, and we'll there will hand out noise headphones. Those need What are they going to hand out? Noise cancelling headphones.
Kids that are or adults that are sensitive to the fireworks. Um, and we always have the bean bags and we lay out the mats and we have sensory toys, coloring. Um, do you need anything patriotic that the kids can because I was thinking of I know they come in. What is the number of kids that come in? Is it a regular number of kids that was the maximum you get? Um get the little office to take I mean like a little triangle hat or or something historical because we want we want that theme. That would be cute. Yeah. Um we usually have like between 15 and 20. Okay. stop him
because that way we can get ahead of you know if you know I know you do find them you know whatever we need to find out who's who's what so yeah we definitely take care of everything you have room so we don't need any money from your blood no but that's good to know because if we if we get and I saw fun. They're not they're not expensive. You know, the the little, you know, they have the little hat or the ear coat or something that they can, you know, something simple, something that is not too expensive and they can take it, you know.
Um I think the games and then the next will be of her is she she's flying some stuff. So maybe we can Yeah, I have things here that we can Yes, I submitted a list to Isabella. So, we're gonna have cornhole ring horseshoes. Um, I've got all kinds of handouts. We've got beads, beach balls, flags galore. I mean, we've got two sets of flags. One set flag says 1776. The other says 206. And then we have the regular American flags with the nice tops on them. And we did give them some of the flags.
Yeah. had fried. Yeah. And they're just getting the if you see it. Yes. You have to. Yeah. And I, you know, they want steak, beans, whatever. We're going to hand them up everything to them. So, that's great. Yep. We worn out for for the entrance of the sensory zone. Do you guys have any like signage? Yeah, we have signage that it it actually goes all the way out to the park with uh the air the errands waiting. We have like around six or something out last year. Yeah,
I don't think I saw. So, yeah, we have signage also that on the flyer. I know you guys have done that before. Yeah, you can come up stage if you want because I know uh what's his name? We did it. First time you did it. I know you and what's the name? Ch. Yeah, yeah, he came on stage and he, you know, it was the first time that you guys were in this. So, you're welcome to use this, but we'll make a list of, you know, in case people and if you want anything,
are these will these games be set up in the kids zone? Is that the idea? No. And I have to have a seat now like we normally do. No, no, no. She's talking about the games. I'm going to have yard games. Yes. I'm going to put it in a separate area where the kids this kid zone is, right? Exactly. Okay, good. Yes. the room will be set up. So the handouts is hand outs and the kids soon because some of them we don't want the kids walking out with them. You know the big one. No, I'm talking about like the ring talk and that's all going to be in one area. It's going to be in the same area. Everything's going to be in the same area. What's the the four hours of staff event attending?
What is that? the flavor. So they but this one is you know the what we're paying the they we need to have it staffed staffed by to make sure that the generator is working at all times that the kids aren't jumping on top of the games right thank you for safety their website they have set up and then
we want to do it because I know These are the ones from last year, but this year they have some of them. They already been uh practice or whatever, but there's one that is has the fifth university. So that will be very visual, you know, um it's in the
the link that that we share in one of the emails. So, we need to pick if we're going to do this because this doesn't look very Fourth of July that we can use because this is there's one that is a dark but it's like I think it's like Uncle Sam in it and and then the other one is like I know the kids like the basketball hoop but there's one that's the one that's and I don't know if it's still available because there's one that the kids go and jump and slide is
No, we can't have those. No, we need to that requires the parent to sign a waiver and it's just too many people even control that. So, this you're okay with. These Yes. Right. So, the kids aren't jumping on anything. They don't have to climb anything. That was these are more like um like 30 like the youth. Yeah, exactly. Teddy the same if we can decorate it with you know something you know colorful for American flag or whatever.
We also have the other names that are patriotic in that you know that you have they're good. What you can do is maybe do like a balloon arch, right? You know, kids zone and make it can do that. She'll make a We're going to have to talk about that because Yeah, there may be a conflict there. Yeah. Oh, okay. That's an idea. All right. Cuz I'm going to meet with her tomorrow. So about 4th of July? Well, no, no, I'm just going to meet with her. if you know if you want to do that. She's I know she does. I've used her personally, but I don't think she wants us
She's married to Yeah. Oh, but heritage the patriotic balloon. So any any ideal to make I make a motion to get asked not not to do it like I make a motion to try to get a balloon patoon or red white and blue balloon arch for the for the park for the kids zone. For the kids zone. Yes. So they can act like an archway into the like a little tunnel like a little toner. That would be perfect cuz it's not going to be fenced. We cannot fence it with any anything. No, it would be at the entrance of the kids, right?
I'm gonna see her tomorrow. So I can answer. She knows somebody else. Oh, you don't want to do red, white, and blue. I'm sure she did she mean I don't know what the situation is, but there's entrance. There's a zone. Yeah. So, okay. You made a motion. I second it. Discussion. All in favor? I. Yes. Okay. So, we we're going to do the arch, the balloon arch. We need to find somebody.
One one big concern that I've had with kids, my kids last year. The lighting. And I keep saying the lighting was a big problem. Kids, it gets dark. Yeah. And in this area, everywhere. And it gets dark. We get like five light towers. But especially we're going to have with one break. With one break. Yeah. Especially we're going to have such a big uh play zone play area then we need I have a balloon. Oh, you do say I'll look it up. My wife dressed them up in black.
Very good. So we strongly recommend the people of the town. We strongly recommend dress up your kids in light colors. Thank you very much. Um we we let's talk to light effects.
Um cuz they do like a really nice job. The problem with the light towers is that if you are sitting behind them looking at the stage and in between you and the stage there's a light tower, you're blinded, right? And that your eyes start to hurt, right? So, but light effects for food and wine, they do a really nice job with those twinkle lights. Maybe they for the kids zone. They can pump. That would be a good idea. Yeah. That way it's, you know, easy on the eyes and we still have that. Yeah. The park illuminated. We have we have a lot of trees around.
Yeah. I mean, it's it's it's require some work, but the little lines or lights like a like a yard, like like a patio. They even have Yeah, they even have the ones that tape on, but I don't know how they would work on a tree. I mean, and and that would look really nice around the trees. Yeah. Who was it that have that thank people that effects cuz the the part behind the park cuz behind the behind the stage everything gets lost where the basketball court is the trees in the back is super dark the tree lighting red white and blue tree lighting well kids zone and the kids zone kids
a special lighting right special lighting by like FX FX X we can turn it off but the fireworks are we switch it up light FX that's the main
so we're going to focus all that on the kids cell and if we get you know if we get if we see like dark spots in those some areas we of course we cannot fix it in the at the moment but is there something between now and the fourth that we could probably in the park then we can see the lighting. No, nothing between unless we take a tour unless we go at night. No, night is it gets dark. Yeah. I mean the playground they did the they did fix the light for the for the play the playground area cuz I take the girls almost every day
until like 9:00. Um, but once you kind of go further out to the basketball court area, that hole there is just very much so. That basketball court was to me was that's what the council did many many years ago. A lot of people use it. It'll be packed all the way through that. That park was supposed to be a passive park. We should have a VIP area there. Put tables and tents and sell VIP tables. That sounds like you know they want me. Yeah. Have have a tent and this is the VIP area. You pay a little extra but you have different sittings. Yeah.
No, of course you don't have to charge for that. But you know what? Then you have to supervise that. We don't have 10,000 or volunteers volunteers to make sure that those people get in there. I spoke I know she's gonna be uh at that event Haley the the new chair of the youth task force but she's excited about having the the committee being part of it so they can usher people they can dress up in the in the different costumes who's this Haley from I went to the public public safety committee meeting Carlos Carlos is she's she's on board
yeah and I and I spoke to you know publicly and I said you know for another event that in charge of. I think we could do the same thing because for the senior Olympics, they're willing to cooperate with us and and participate. I'm sure being public affairs or public relationship. Many committees involved as possible. Correct. I'd rather do committee member than the collaboration that we have and and because they always come they always say how how can we help you the whatever. But you Haley Haley's Haley is the chair. Yeah, she's the chair of the group, right? as a or as you know people dress up very costume so whatever
yeah I checked and but she'll mention it too I'll send an email late October that maybe they can help pass out the the force can help find handing out. It doesn't have to be limited to Saturday. It could also be a Sunday. Nice family Sunday. Okay. No. Okay. Sunday. Also the Okay. Next. We're already done with the games and the handouts. Any any other thing you want to add?
No. No. I have it. It's all fine. It's all ordered. Uh, next will be the historic displays, reenactments. Uh, anything that uh, you got from Justice? Justice said that he spoke with Danny at the Main Street Players and he's working on seeing what group could possibly do the air rescue engaging with attendees dressed in a time period. It seems like this may be a possibility for them. So, he's working with main street players right now. Okay. for them, not just to do a skit, but just to hang out with the customs. So, people get their photo ops and that would be exciting. Engaging, but they said they didn't have costumes. So, then we'd have to get costumes for that. Oh, he didn't include that.
Yeah, I was speaking with him today and they said that, you know, the the person at the Main Street Playhouse said, "We don't have costumes for that." But but the ones they sell on Amazon, I mean, I don't know, but they're not they're not expensive. No, do you think they'll be participating? Charles Charles through the uh chair. Uh I I was at the meeting last night. So, uh there's one guy that came in late that has some customs. Oh, okay. Great. So, he is willing to uh and we told him basically, you know, kind of walk around, you know, this is picture taken with the people. What was it? What was the uh just act like the I don't mind dressing up.
Okay, I'm dressing up. Yeah, I don't mind doing the little Renaissance festival that the next go. We'll have it confirmed. Okay.
Yeah. Tell me again just came about Monday night. Okay. Okay. So they're doing something with the you said something with the with the army because the band is gonna I mean they they're going to dress up with t-shirts because their their uniforms are very hot. They'll wear it for a moment with one of the pieces they're going to perform. Oh, and they want to do also the folding of the flag. So that would be good too because that teaches a lot of the kids that they come to the veterans or they come don't come and they know the meaning of you know what they mean. inappropriate.
So, uh, so that's I'm excited. I mean, this is going to be so um, and just basically open up the show with the revy with the army revy. Well, they withivity. Okay. They say, "Is anybody else playing?" And they just you have 34 musicians. Perfect. Perfect. Okay. They can play from jazz to rock. They can play salsa, too. But I said that's, you know, let's leave that for another event. They have four at the end. They have one because they're they're Don't be a party. The uniform. The uniform. No, but we'll see. The DJ's going to be playing. I got the DJ to play. So, no.
And I dance with Oh, yeah. For sure. I'm going to work. That's just my train of thought. Um, they their uniform are like kind of brownish greenish and they it looks like a uniform from the 40s. So, they're gonna have Glenn Miller music, rock and roll. I told him to to send me a list of the songs so the the DJ from FX Productions doesn't play the same song. So, that happened some years back. They were playing the same song again, you know. Yeah. They need to send us their Yeah. Yeah. So, they play
it sound like a Kentucky derby. that. Oh, that was good. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. That's the retreat. I also see it. That's the very exciting cuz I love horses. And I saw I saw how then he came when the retreat happened. You could be driving on base. I had to stop my car and face the flag. Look the sound. That was Yeah. Anywhere you are. You could be anywhere. You could be your uniform. It would be awesome.
You wear and then you take your jacket where you come on stage when we I can do that cuz I think How about you, Charles? Does that fit? It has. It actually fits better. I'm going to put a little wear uniform with a beard. No. No. No. Really? No. Oh yeah, that's that's good to know. So that that has to come off. You be I don't know about that. Yeah. No, I'm fine. They're different. Especially for especially for especially for uh for community event. You're I still have to wear my hat my cover but because I'm outside but we we'll see.
I'm just praying that we have good weather. Well, that's last year we were lucky. the veterans doing anything and we collaborate. Actually, uh I wanted William to be here. They're going to be part and you know they they have their own the Legion has their right one of the pavilions and they come and they do the pledge of allegiance. And what I wanted him to do is because they're working on the monument for the veterans is to work with Jeremy and something inside maybe the the the community center and maybe like a marker where the monument is going to be to say future home or future location.
Ask for money. They're going to have like a little to the club, you know. Well, yeah. Well, they need money to build it. They need 450,000. That's a lot. Yeah. A lot of money. they they have been getting good money. So I that that's why I want to know that because I that's the participation. I mean they participate every year and they bring kids from you know are we going to have colors? We going to have the colors. Yes, we are getting the color there, right? I haven't asked um we said the sheriff. Yeah, we need to get the sheriff. Oh um Amador was here. Yeah, let me follow up on that, please.
Because I know that there it's a different process now that it's sheriff's office. Oh, I met I met Sheriff um the lady who went to the the opening of the Bay Museum and she was there and said, "Oh, we we so sorry that you missed us and that we said next year. Next year." Okay, I'm counting on you. So, let's see if we can get her next year. But she was really nice. I mean, she was um so so well we so Clar is gonna check with Yeah, she wanted the shirt, right? Uh Clar.
Yeah, I think that you know they come with their whole um outfit and they very nice. Very nice. So, so and that's a beginning. And again, the timeline which is included here is a tentative one. is the one that I downloaded uh sent to me. And this is basically because there's a bunch of stuff that happens before and after, but this is the one focused on the 4th of July, you know. Um we can go over this real quick. I don't know if I have it here. I I do not own a golf cart, but I was wondering, are we going to have like a showing? Well, we uh I don't know we're going to do that. Um we can check with the people that have the golf carts. Um it's is it gets complicated
for what? The parking of the golf carts because I don't want to be too far away because they have parks there. Um the the Mary Collins Community Center parking lot is reserved for um handicapped primarily and elected officials, our elected officials um any county representative, any state representatives that We need to start leaving the bike. Yeah, of course. I guess everybody hopefully the construction is finished. Hopefully this the the road and it becomes a two-way uh street again because as it is right now, yeah, it's going to be messy with construction.
It will be a one it will be a mess to keep that as a oneway only coming out. Okay. We'll we'll get an update from Walmart. So it's reserved for the handicap and then VIPs. VIP. No, she have a little VIP tent. The basketball court. Okay. So, I consider myself VIP. Okay. Well, I'll tell you the VIP. I'm not going to stop. No, don't say don't say we're being reported. The VIP. The VIP. The real I know where to park, but in the back. I always park in the back. You have Yeah, the the back is perfect.
Okay, so historic place. We're going to work on that reenactments and I don't know. We can do like a photo up uh booth with stuff, you know, like I said, dress up as the patriot or whatever and that. But you're going to give that to someone, right? Yeah. Yeah, we're going to give back. Okay. Or we could have backdrops and people would take backdrops. I I rather do backdrops and people with using their own phones, they could take their pictures. Yeah. We could have maybe a volunteer, someone Yeah. Yeah, like they use man the the the backdrops and and then we Oh, you know from your phone I'll take your pictures easier. It's easier. Yeah, it's easier, nicer. And you walking around the picture taken.
Yeah, let's keep it flexible and simple. [ __ ] years ago. I think my my my oldest daughter was like not even one. The Easter during Easter Easter I think one of those festivities they had a really nice backdrop but they were taking the picture and handed in to you like a photo like the wine festival. But then you have to pay No, it was free. Yeah. And they had a backdrop. You have to pay for the guy. No, it was free for you. But you have to pay for that. So you have to pay to pay. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Okay. Uh, okay. We're done with the item 6 I J Freedom Truck. Um, that's not going to happen that day, but it's something that we need to follow up on. Um, they told me that we had to reapply and I don't think we have to. Yeah. But we'll we'll regular sale. I'm sorry, the put truck that we got to follow up on them. I know that's for the Veterans Day that we need to Yeah, that's the 14th. I don't want to go on the 14th because I want to see. Okay. I want to see it here. I don't want to see then where um Okay. So, that one is between Clar and I. I have the Did I give you the contact person?
I think I'm going in the White House. I think I gave the So, it's going to be Clar. Yeah. I want you because you're the official person, but I'll follow up. Yes. Event flyers. Event flyers. Um uh we we're going to we have to work with um Italis. We want we want something beautiful, something that we can make big ones. And then of course on Instagram or whatever media we have and do a video. Yeah.
We can promote it. Um okay, so that one is still ongoing. Okay. Shows activities. We already review that. We're going to keep the same and do all this other stuff in the children's um loans. Okay. Uh collaboration with the committee. We already spoke about that. We need to contact the ones that were here. Um the timeline real quick. Uh item 7C. I said um Tesa, you need to look at it and help us
to see what applies to us this year. 12 card. I don't know what what that means. 12 cards into this one. Yeah, that's that's for staff for staff. So, this is staff and then that effect will be on side of 10. So, blah blah bl anything anything before six is just for us to handle. So, u I put a question on the line, you know, uh are we going to have a blood truck there? Blood donations. No, I mean, usually they'll contact us and ask if they can set up their truck there. If we have room, we allow them.
Yeah, we'll see. Um, so that, like I said, that's a tentative that's really on them to reach out to us, not the other way around. Yeah. many people that get to donate. I know a lot at that time. I mean, I cannot donate blood after eating and drinking. Oh, the ban arrives at 3:30. I already gave this to uh the sergeant so he can look at it. Um take zip ties to CAC tent. That's maybe that's a banner. We're going to have our own tent, right? Are we gonna have to And then the sponsors are last year I think we we we combined ours with the town, right?
No. No. No. No. They No. One year the town left and they give us. Exactly. So, but we we normally get our own.
So, we have we have our own test and then we hand out whatever we can even do because what they did is they normally give it back to all the public officials or council member and then they go out. So we ended up having the the stuff in ours and we were handling it to people and people were coming to our Canada. So we can do that again this year. We the public chair can we confirm this in June? I think we'll be closer to being actual as opposed to going through it now. I wanted you to see this so you see what's coming or what's coming.
That's what I'm saying. But we should be better like but Clarisel said that before 6 p.m. is the town staff handling all of that. So let's go down after 6. Yeah. Uh 6:30. We're going to start at 6.
Uh then we have the colors the sheriff and guard the national anthem. Uh that's why I put there 13 army banding singer name. The pledge of allegiance is up to the to the vet or maybe we can have boy scouts normally like said uh promote the trucks uh blood donation and then promote those the trucks of the donation the blood donation if we didn't have it and then the sensory room. Uh thank the sponsors again that it's up to whatever we get uh to be determined. Uh 6:45 if if they want to do it the council members can start handing out. I think you did it all by yourself last time.
And then the band starts uh at 7. Uh we're pending the songs. Uh turn on the light towers and then cover. This is this is normally every week what we do every year. Yeah. And then at 11, you know, sunb belts, club, whatever. So work from 6:45 or 6:30 actually or no, six. I'm going to we need to be there, you know, I'm going to be there early um let's say from 6 to to 9. That's ours. Okay. Mhm.
That's ours or or they know when the actually event is for the people. So if you see anything you want to add, you know, check check with us and then the next meeting we can make it through. Any questions on the timeline or any next item? Almost done. Okay. All the committee collaborations, volunteer recruitment efforts. We we want to have a leaders for the recruiting of volunteers. You know, we can get these task force or somebody that has the but we need to make sure that the volunteers have tasks.
Yes. Right. No, like like I said, ushering in or or helping out. We'll we'll we'll we'll make a list. But what what I I don't want is 20 youth volunteers that are hanging out hanging out without supervision. Yeah. because it's a lot of people and it's dark. So, list of assignments. Yeah. Like they need to be already um assign assigned a task. Assign it to a vendor to a spot to like, okay, you're in charge of this this. That's why I keep saying because I've always been against having youth volunteers because Yeah. First, we don't really zone. Yeah.
Yeah. And the kids zone is is staffed. Yeah. Um just because it's it's I can't control them, right? Too big. For the same reason I keep saying that we can collaborate with other committees and have adults. Adults. Thank you. We have we can have adults from the from the committees to participate in and they they are part of the town, right? Meaning as of Yeah. from the youth um youth task force task force the public public safety safety and special needs and everyone more of the youth task force to be the volunteers to help
how many I know Hy won't be there because well that's another thing she won't be there to supervise you know and I'm the chair the vice chair like who's the vice chair I think I think that I that thing we we we should decide today yeah I But for volunteers, we need to reach from within because there's a lot of people. I was thinking of within within a lot of people. I agree. For me, for a million reasons, you know, they need to be special. Hope of course thinking of safety. I mean, last year we were lucky. We had not people and everything was under control. Everything was under control. Uh, how many police are we going to get? That's another thing. I
mean, how how many did we have last year? Six. I think it was six. Yeah. Yeah. I think it was the usual suspects, you know, the same guys. Some would be directing traffic and then they come to to the park to or anything, you know, hopefully. So, um yeah. Okay. Um any any other suggestions that come to mind? Then we'll discuss it next week. Yeah, we'll have to do a breakdown where we need the help. So then we can approach the committees that we have public safety and can help with regardless.
Well, he's one person, huh? But he's one person. He's one person, but he can get his and it's July, right? A lot of people, you know, are vacation. Can we do a map? Do we have a map of the park in that next stage? I think I think for the for the next meeting area we should have the siphon shed so that the site Collins to locate loc where they're going to be and how many truck where to put the fence the the photo op the and I think when we have that we know exactly we need two people we need two we need three that way we determine how how many how much staff we need
where they're going to be stationed I would not be station permanent No, meaning I need to know there should be shifts. We can have um we should be volunteering. I know at the last uh chairperson meeting mentioned that some of the there's that. Yeah, that's that 12 hours for what? For Easter. I think it was the Halloween for the spring break. Yeah, the Halloween. I mean, they're volunteers. They're kids.
I mean, we if they get there at 5 from 5 to 10, that's five hours. I think that's No, we should break it like two hour break, take a break, take the other one or whoever, right? Yeah. Yeah. Like rotate like Yeah. Yeah. Because, you know, they're kids, you know, they're going to get bored of just standing, right? But we're not going to have kids. Sorry. saying, you know, anyways, any other questions? I think that's it. Okay, so our next meeting is going to be uh the 13th my 13th of June. 13th of June. Uh no, no, no. We our official CAC meeting where we going to present this to the committee where they have to approve all this.
Yeah. That we're going to do. So um just the ideas, you know, we need more uh details to say this is what we're going to do. They approve. I'm sure they approve it. You know, it's like it's just a matter of, you know, making it we want to make this special. I mean, I'm really excited about all this. I I don't want to be disappointed and say, "Oh, I don't want to do that." Um so um basically we're going to present this to our meeting on the 13th to the board the CAC and hopefully we'll get uh what about our meeting next week? Yeah, that's what you said June. You may vape. We may but for for the the subcommittee meeting we can meet. I'll close that as
the next committee meeting. The next committee meeting and if we get close and we can have Mary meet more often to you know would it be too crazy? You know we can't meet at the park. No we always have to. Yeah. Is there any you go on your own and and and see and report back? Yeah. Yeah, we have to record them. But in what manner can we meet at the park to scope? No, you go to go and then you take pictures. Is there any way that we can just to kind of walk around and get a feeling once you get the diagram
with the map? You'll be able to kind of visually are you going to paint the picture for mom on Saturday? Yes, ma'am. Okay. Then you'll be at the farm. You'll be at the farm. I was there yesterday. You wanted to see at night. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I've seen it at night, but I as a group Okay. to brainstorm. Yeah. In action, but I think we can't do that. Okay. Anything else?
The next meeting. Uh next meeting is the official CSC is going to be which should shouldn't be in this uh this is the the subcommittee meeting after our 13th and things get approved. So we move ahead you're going to have a report probably on the sponsors what we have so far and whoever has updates can provide it on the 13th and then we approve that and then we move on the basics we need to approve. Okay, good. Disag Green. No, the next subcommittee meeting to be assigned to be determined. Okay. This Friday, Main Street, May 13th, we know exactly, you know, next Friday 17th. On the what?
On the 15th, main street line. Yeah. So, yeah, I can put that as an announcement. Announcement is next CIC meeting on May 13. And then the main street live I have a senior trip I think on the May May 15th. You have something on May 15th. Yeah, the senior the the main street. So they they can come to the concert like 30 minutes and then I kind of I kind of did it on purpose for that to to have a bigger crowd on main street. The scene for 30 minutes.
Maybe they'll change their mind and say they're going to like that music. They're going to have to play Iranian music, afroamerican music. The thing is that for the play for the play music, I'm sure that I'm going to get people that normally wouldn't come to do the main to main street life. So that's why I kind of did it on the same day to have them a bigger crowd, you know, bigger crowd, bigger sale, you know. Yeah, we need uh I haven't seen anything yet, but they're working on it. I think um they have the promo people that they just go roller and they do they have done very good promos
the place called Kevin and the re and the rear fl I think it's called something like that Kevin I don't know because I'll be at the main street life I remember I'm the one that organizes the fun thing I will I will be yeah I will a little bit mine comes doesn't have We do the one here. Where you going? 7:17. Okay, there we go.
We did it. Oh, by the way, the Wow. November birthday.
