Planning Commission - Regular Meeting

Okay, great. It is October 20th and it is 4 o'clock. Go ahead and call this meeting to order. I'll do a roll call with planning commission members. Um Joey Edwards, Steve Stevens, Jason Maruo here, David here, Ryan Hill. Okay. Heatherland here. Um, Commissioner Tharp, Commissioner Lee, Commissioner Bulock. Okay. Uh, any changes to the agenda? We have no changes to the agenda. Okay. Did you have want any updates?

Um, just the only update uh that we have is um next week we do have a couple agenda items. Um uh there's a public hearing for an application and a legislative process. November 10th, we already have a um legislative process for an expedited plan plan review for pro for um applications that come in with more than 50 or 50% affordability or more um and hit 100% AMI for both for rent and for sale. Um, no, we did want to ask about the November 24th um, hearing date and make sure that uh, that is the week of Thanksgiving and just we looks like we've got the three of you, we've got and Jason and Ryan. Um, does everyone want to keep that meeting date open for uh November November 24th?

I cannot be here for that one. Okay. Um, I will not I will not be available for that either. Okay. So, Ryan is not available. Heather is not available. We don't have any public hearings if it helps. We don't have any public public hearings scheduled or applications set for November 24th. Um but uh we can always we have lots of work session things that we can talk to you about. So um no Ryan, no Heather, Joey, I'm available. You're available. Okay. Um and I'm available on the 24th, but I will not be in the country on the 10th. Yes. On December the 10th.

November. know the November 10th meeting. I will not be in the country. Unfortunately, I'll be on a beach somewhere in the south. Rough rough. Jason, thanks for sharing. Okay, so Jason's out November 10th. Um I guess it's great time just to ask. Do we we Heather will be here November 10th. Joey, I will not be. Okay, Joey's out. David, probably not. Okay, David will be out. Um, we're getting close to not having a quorum. So, Ryan, are you able to join us on November 10th? Uh, I should be available yet.

Great. And we'll check with Steve Stevens. He can't be here tonight um due to a personal matter. So, we will um see if we can make sure that we've got uh Steve Stevens available for November 10th. Otherwise, we would have to bump it to November 24th and we have Joey, Jason. Um, so we would still need Steve to So, let we'll check with Steve and see which of those two meetings Steve can be at. And if for some reason he can't be at the November 10th, then we'll have to continue. Well, you'll have Jason, Joey, and David for the 24th.

For the 24th. Oh, I didn't put David on here. I'm so sorry. That's right. So, I've got Joey, Jason, David. Um, so we would have a quorum for the 24th if we if something happens to November 10th. And I could potentially get on Zoom by then. By the 24th, I just fly back that day. So, I won't be here. And I can try to be here on the 10th, but I fly back that day, too. So, no guarantees. Okay. Okay. So, it looks like the 24th. Thank you guys. This is really helpful because the holidays, November and December are really tough. But we do have to get this adopted before the end of the year and so I have to take it to the board then in December. Um I just have to make sure that they can do it then. So we've got Joey, Jason, David, and Steve for November 24th.

And you'll have to verify Steve, right? That's right. Thank you so much for that. That gives you an idea. So then we do anticipate that we'll have um uh also December 8th we will have files that need um review. We'll have public hearing files on December 8th and that leaves December 22nd. So same kind of conversation. November December are always kind of tough months for us to decide if we're going to hold that second regular meeting in December. So don't have to decide tonight. We do have four of the five of you. Um, so anybody have something that they can't hear on December 22nd?

I'm good. I'm a maybe, but I can be on Zoom if I happen to be on that. Okay. Ryan and Jason, just checking in on December 22nd. Um, that is a Yes. Yes, I can be there for that. Okay. as of now. Yes. Okay, good. Um we'll move down into new business which is file 24-03 the Box Creek um gravel mining cup and the applicant's request for continuence to November 10th. So we did take a a request um from the applicant um who would like to still discuss the the suggested conditions of approval and um they've asked for continuation until November 10th.
