Hi Good evening everybody. I'm pray but he got me up here anyway. This is uh House Bill uh 1197. It is the Safe Solicitation Act. I'm not going to be long up here. I'm just going to get to the point and tell y'all about this bill. This bill was designed for Jackson, Mississippi. It wasn't designed for everybody because everybody don't have the problems that Jackson has with uh homelessness around the what they call capital district complex. This bills will put that put there for that person to get rid of all the homelessness around that district that complex. If if you guys want a copy of the bill, I get you a copy of you can see what I'm talking about. Uh it is designed for you to have [clears throat] a committee who's going to set up the fees, collect the fees, uh law enforcement to put the people in jail, go to court,

8:20 – 10:000

give them a fine, or or both. Okay? And in the bill, it states particularly all the places in Jackson where they want to put this at. So if you want it for all the counties, why not get our important places and put in this bill so we would know it's for everybody? But it's not. That's why they give you the option to opt in or opt out. I feel that we ought to opt out of this because we don't have that problem like they have it down there. I mean, we we see people out there, you know, asking for some money, but not like it is down there in Jackson. So, my advice is to opt out of it because we are not like Jackson and we will never be like Jackson. So, that's my view on this bill. Yes. Um, at this time the board may want to go ahead and vote on this bill because we have to opt in or opt out and I spoke on it as well and she's my understanding retracting out. So, we're all on the same page. Mayor,

9:58 – 10:430

I also did some research on this after the last meeting. Spoke chief spoke code enforcement director read through it very thoroughly and I agree and I'd like to make out second. Alderman. Hi. Alderman Johnson. Hi. Alderman Smith. Hi. Alderwoman Armstrong.

10:43 – 10:590

Okay. Okay. So, what is that timeline?

16:550

[laughter]

16:56 – 18:470

Thank you. department. This case is a request from applicant creative construction to approve a revision of title adjusting property and that large property. Well, I'm sure everyone's basically

19:28 – 20:000

That was Hello everyone.

20:01 – 21:560

Uh my address is uh 4349 branch, Mississippi. Yeah, this uh project initially I had a plattered uh this uh land for 2.06 acres but now you know I'm doing like a Marriott uh hotel has been approved. Uh so we need little larger uh you know land. So I did extended that to 3.01 acres so the hotel would fit in properly. This one, not this one. Uh, you know, I did check with Marriott, so they are not allowing us with the their product. Uh, no, uh, conference room in this hotel is allowed by them. But, however, we are doing like uh the event center 30,000 square ft. Planning to do it just down the road on uh the interstate drive uh in the 7.7 acres. So, we will have a nice event center with uh the you know meeting and everything. So I was talking with Andrew that city meetings can be hosted there also. And to see those kids, we just move them to the front of the line to get coach. And I I remember just three or maybe two young men, a young lady, one with his brother's head coach, either those didn't have a coat. But thank you to the city, the board, all you all for your support for the co program. You never know when somebody actually need things like a coat. So we thank you. Give give the board a hand. Um been a tough year for some of us and uh but we'll make it through and I want to thank these directors for the jobs that they do to direct this city and the employees and this board working together. It's very important and important thing is that we remember the reason for the season and we just love one another and just thank y'all for letting me have the opportunity to serve.

27:29 – 27:470

Thank you Bostonman. I'm going to double down on thanking everybody who came out to the tree line ceremony and helped out with it. Um I knew I was in for a long day because my wife and I showed up and she l said so who's giving out the reindeer food?

Um there are so many resources here and I encourage our citizens if there's a need reach out to see if someone can help you with what you have going on. Um I've heard of financial issues and families not having enough food, but this city has been so supportive for Thanksgiving with our food boxes. Um there's a church who are giving away who's giving away some for students at my school. Many different children are being assisted with through the fire department because of the toy drive and a church is also coming by and the sorority. 30:18 – 30:580

Uh, thank everyone for coming tonight. I know it's a little chilly out there, but it's not bad as it used to be. So anyway, uh, everybody got to remember what Christmas is about. It's about Jesus being born to die on the cross to take care of our sins. And all we have to do is accept it. And uh, if you know anybody that's not saved, talk to them and get them saved because you have two roads. You go down where it's real hot or you go up there where it's nice. So that's all I got. Thank everybody for Merry Christmas. Thank you, Elder Alman.

31:01 – 32:120

And there's a one there's an item here that FHWA is requiring and that is for we originally had a you know you have the city had a contract with the FHWA for the grant and they asked we asked for an extension for that grant to extend the time on it. We got that but they've come back to us now and said well you also need an extension for your engineering contract which doesn't change the fee or scope or anything. It just changes the time to match that grant. So, uh, I wanted to if need to keep from, you know, the deadline is December 31st, 31st. So, keep from getting in trouble with that with FHWA on this. I want to go ahead and maybe see if the board would approve uh extending the time to June of next year so that uh we wouldn't have to miss this deadline. Pardon?

34:57 – 35:420
