Parks Bond Budget Amendment
Motion to approve a budget amendment for the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department to transfer the amount of $609,249.00 from 2009 Parks Bond reserves and $50,000.00 in Georgia Department of Natural Resources federal grant funds to account 274-3001-541.74-53 for 2009 Parks Bond appropriated construction expenditures.
Sister Cities Check Acceptance
Motion to approve a budget amendment accepting and depositing the $8,642.51 endorsed check from Sister Cities to be donated to the World Cup welcoming festivities on the Square.

29 W. Park Square Request
Motion to approve a Temporary Revocable License Agreement between the City of Marietta and Kinsey Holdings Marietta, LLC. for the installation of string lights and a metal awning that extend from 29 W. Park Square. Council Member Goldstein discloses that members of his family and/or entities owned by members of his family lease property to William Scott Kinsey. Council Member Goldstein believes that William Scott Kinsey has some business/ownership relationship with Kinsey Holdings Marietta LLC.
Adoption of the 2026 Rules and Procedures of Council

MEAG Right of Entry Agreement
Motion to approve a Right of Entry Agreement between the City of Marietta and the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG).
Requests from the Marietta Arts Council to utilize city property for the 2026 M2R TrailFest event.
Motion to approve the 60-day installation of artwork and photography along the Mountain to River Trail from South Marietta Parkway to Kennesaw Avenue from May 2 to July 6, 2026, adhering to City of Marietta public art guidelines. Installation of student artwork and photography from May 2 to October 31 in various city parks as approved by the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department, adhering to City of Marietta public art guidelines. A one-year installation of the sculpture tour including installations in Atherton Square, Monarch Park, and Lewis Park with additional installations as budgets allow and as approved by the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department. Artistic installation on the bridges over North Marietta Parkway and South Marietta Parkway for one year period from April 18, 2026, to April 18, 2027, subject to GDOT approval. The installations will be made of Lucite panels like this year’s installation and feature a similar theme. Opening ceremonies and day of activities will be centered in Atherton Square on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with additional performances along the M2R trail from Lewis Park to the South Marietta Parkway Bridge, and chalk artists next to 17 Whitlock Avenue.

Motion authorizing a variance from the underground utilities ordinance by Comcast Communications for allowing for the installation of new fiber optic cable to be over-lashed on existing fiber optic cable and requiring the removal of all duplicate utility poles where Comcast Communications is “next to transfer” along Cobb Parkway South from the utility pole located at 390 South Marietta Parkway to the utility pole located in the island at Cobb Parkway South and South Marietta Parkway. This motion does not grant a perpetual variance. Comcast Communications must relocate underground at its expense if other utilities at the location are moved underground. Ward 1A
