Number nine. yeah um the suspension is just because you can't have two active liquor licenses on a property at once so they have a vendor coming in for an event and so it's a temporary liquor license so we have to suspend um booze fairies through the state so it's just acknowledging so we have all formalities in our end so we're suspending the state does it automatically so you're there's no motion needed but you guys need to acknowledge that that is suspended due to the other liquor license that if you would approve so that's what the nine and ten are regarding that explains i have a lot of questions about this there's nothing they did wrong just the way it has to be done yeah you just can't have to because moonsbury has an annual liquor license so it has to be suspended to allow a temporary one okay so the suspension is just it's just a formality so that way the other one you guys could approve for the the event or whatever they have going on we can't approve with the one in existence got it let's do the first number nine for acknowledgement i would acknowledge the suspension

This, all the liquor licenses go through the state, and so we got the temporary suspension first, and then, and it explains to us why. Okay. But then we got the other one, so. Because it happens quite a bit with further locations. Like last year, I think I was in the board meeting and I explained because Casino Farms, I don't know how much they do it now, but they used to have like vans. You see a lot more of those portable liquor lights or liquor venue things. So that's where stuff like this happens more and more frequent.

Yeah, theoretically, you probably don't need to have it, you know, with the board with that suspension. But if someone would want to know why there's two liquor licenses, I err on the side of transparency. And that way you guys know what's going on, too, if you would ever have gotten questioned.

Good morning. Good morning. So this final plaid is for one that the board granted a variance for a preliminary plaid. And that's for the adjustment or the creation of outload A, which is not for development. And that was just pretty much kind of like a boundary line adjustment, but also that creation of that outload A. So the preliminary plaid, the board granted variance to waive that. And then for this final plaid, All of the items required for the final plan have been reviewed, including an approved subdivision name by the county auditor, a certificate by the owner and he and her spouse that the subdivision is with their free consent, an attorney's opinion showing that the fee tied up to the subdivision is free from encumbrances other than those secured by encumbrance funds, a certificate from the county treasurer that the subdivided land is free from unpaid taxes. The Brainerd County engineer reviewed the final plan and found it to be compliant. And so the final plat Darlene addition meets all final plat requirements except those waived by resolution 2665. And that's where we waived the requirement for preliminary plat and a couple of requirements from the final plat. And subject to the following, the scale of the survey needs to be adjusted to one inch equals 100 feet. And they need to include the minimum and adjusted air closure for all subdivision boundaries in that survey.

All the I's are done, the T's are crossed, and everything's good. That is correct. Okay, and you guys don't have a problem with it? I don't see anything wrong with it.

First of the month, I had no meetings. I had nothing at all. We've got the Heartland Fall Seminar Thursday, and it's in Tama. Yep. Thank you. And then I have the trustee meeting at 1.15, which is usually really short. The agenda's... just going over claims and such, there aren't any, we don't have any closed session scheduled for them, so. It'll be short and sweet. I think they're having the same caterer as last year, so it'll be tacos, I believe, is what they're gonna serve again. Does that start at 10? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So that's the only thing I have coming up. Okay.

Hi, Matt. city administrator of Atkins and council member and the group from Morgan Valley over the proposed gas plant. They would like us to draft a letter to send to the zoning board in Linn County stating our objections about, worried about the gas fumes coming across the county line. So I talked to Derek and he's gonna draft a letter for us. He'll have it for us next Tuesday. So can you put Gina, Derek on the agenda for next week?

Yes. Okay. Okay. I also attended Williamsbury's corn maze, which was really nice. That was 170 years that the farm's been in the family farm. Wow. So that was really nice.

Yep, you're right. And last but not least, on Wednesday of last week, I worked back at the sheriff's office and replaced all the soil pipes in the Sallyport. They're all brand new now. And I stopped there this morning and they said the smell is totally gone now. How did they get plugged up? Just years in rust. Rust? Cast iron pipes that was in there. And see, they had to do that cast iron stuff because it was all built with FEMA money. And FEMA didn't, evidently don't believe in plastic. So they put cast iron in there everywhere. Consequently, I suppose the gas fumes. Right, caused the corrosion. Yes, and then every time you get a little bit of rain, it wasn't enough to keep the pipes flushed out. And you got one side of the Sallyport going across the ceiling was 12 foot, and then the other side was 9 foot, so the pipe. And then, somehow or another, the pipe itself has settled. Also, there was a So the rust actually stayed. It didn't flush it out. Yeah, and what little bit, you know, we got a lot of rain this spring, evidently some of it come loose, come down the sidewalls, and then it dropped on the elbows down to the ground.

And it was packed tight that first one.

So did you completely replace all of the cameras? Everything from the cement on up. It was replaced? Yep, all brand new. I'm surprised they don't have some sort of a liner that, like in some pipes where they run the liner down and blow it up and then it hardens.

I don't know. To me, that's going to solve the whole problem for the rest. Because you only get about three foot from the cement on down and then everything else is, ground you know in the ground so it should be fine we flushed a lot of water through it and then i showed you on the picture there that the air intake at that time was coming in flush with the roof and to me that it could have been sucking some of that gas fumes in the air intake so i extended it way above You know what I mean?

Yeah, yeah, you've got the pipe way above it. Way above it. Was that the original air intake?

That's all I've got for reports. The only thing I've got to mention is I've... I'm working on getting Central Iowa Juvenile Detention to come over and go through that 28E with us. There's a lot of questions. It still looks to me like it's more of a service agreement type thing when it's all done. That it's going to guarantee us a space. The juvenile detention beds are hard to come by. The last one we had that might have got held in Linn County, it was gonna be 500 a day, which is more than, but once we're, because of the lawsuit that Hardin County filed, that's all been settled now, and then if we rejoin, then we'll be back on the list. Right now we don't appear on the list. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but once this is all done, then it will be done in accordance with the way everything should have been done.

Will it be cheaper for us if we become a member? Because right now we have somebody up there, right?

Yes. It's supposed to be. There's an option in there where it's just a flat rate.

For everything, if they have special issues that we don't get the nickel and dime at the end of the month, so now we have to bring in this and that.

Yeah, the big nickel would die.

But we'll have the director, and she will explain it all to us. Okay. Is that scheduled, or...? she's i'm working on her to get her scheduled for a tuesday morning i told her i told the lady i talked to i said it won't be this week possibly in the next two because we'd like to get moving on this they'd like to see everybody that's going to re-up in by the first of december that we fully plan on meeting that and giving you an answer one way or the other

Okay. I've got, Haley got me signed up with an email from Basecamp. Yes. Okay, and I don't know if you guys are on that or not. I am now. You are? Well, there's a ton of information that comes in there. It fills up your inbox. But there's some wording in here now regarding data centers, and there's some legalese going on. They want to change it from the name of a data center to a load center. And the reason is because it's not just the data that's going into this. There's a lot of other things that go on that. So I don't know. And they're saying that if you're going to develop an ordinance and or some legal that maybe the wording has to be changed. So I was going to talk to Derek about it, see if he knew about it, but I'm sure he's read it. What effect it has on anything, I don't know. That's all.

That's all for legal. I've been trying to make sense of some of that stuff, and it gets pretty in-depth.

Yeah, you can really get involved in it, or you can kind of skim it, and something jumps out at you. I just happened to notice that it's at a load center. Okay, well. A lot of it looks like it's going to take... Yeah, that's kind of what I'm seeing from most of the stuff that's in here.

A lot of conversation about it in there. I think I had 51 emails in there about that. It was a bunch.

I look at my inbox and I forget to check this or what's going on.

There's a bunch of them. I got an email from ITC. They're going to start here the month of September and continue in October. Tama County, Linn County, Benton County, Iowa County, that they're going to be flying with a helicopter protecting the power lines. They'll be flying slow, so let the residents know that the reason why that helicopter is driving slow by the line, they're looking at it. They're looking at it. And then I had an individual that sent me this email. He would like to come to introduce himself to the board. He's going to be the representative for ITC, yeah, if we've got any complaints, concerns.

Are they going to send out a press release that we could hand out?

They just asked for me to mention it right in the meeting.

I would hope they'd notify the news. They're covering a wide area, so they will generate calls.
