A resolution honoring the life and legacy of Dietrich Mr. Lemo Driver Mahoney, and otherwise providing with respect that too. Whereas Dietrich J. Mahoney was born and raised in Shreveport, graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1986 before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. And whereas following his military service, Dietrich returned home and continued his commitment to service and involvement in his community. whereas Dietrich served as president of the Wild Bunch Motorcycle Club for 24 years, leading an organization dedicated to friendship, respect, and shared commitment to others. And whereas he promoted safe riding practices and encouraged a positive image among those who rode, believing that true brotherhood was measured not by the miles traveled on the motorcycle, but by the lives touched along the journey. And whereas his involvement and influence extended beyond the motorcycle community through annual school supplies and backpack drives, food distribution, holiday meal programs, water and fan drives, and other acts of generosity. And whereas whether mentoring young members organizing charitable events, or simply offering a helping hand, his legacy lives on in every life he touched, every act of kindness he inspired, and every person who carries forward the values he stood for. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Shreveport of Louisiana and regular session convene that it does hereby honor the life and legacy of Dietrich J. Mahoney and the impact he made while strengthening the communities he called home.

To the Mahoney family, we want to extend our sincerest condolences on the passing of your brother, your uncle. He meant so much to so many of us back in the day. I want to bring back some of the memories in the parking lot, cruising and all of that good stuff that we all did together. But furthermore, what he committed to this community is heart and a heart to serve. a heart to ensure that those around, that they would do well and they would do well within their very community. He embodied what friendship was all about because once you saw him, you couldn't do anything but smile. So on behalf of the Shreveport City Council, I want to extend my condolences to you. I want to make sure that we keep you all surrounded in our prayers and we will send comforting hugs to you. Any other member of the council have anything to say?

I'd just like to say that my prayers will always be with you all. I've always been a part of you all's family. In fact, Roy Mahoney and I, we were at Southern University together, and he was a great soul. I just love you all and appreciate you all. Tell the people you decorated my office.

I think it's a great idea for the mayor to execute a clear water state revolving funds pre-apps AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SHREVEPORT CITY AND THE LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY. IF YOU'LL VOTE YES ON THIS, IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I ALSO THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA AND ALSO FOR THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT AND GROUND LEASE WITH THE CATTO PARISH SCHOOL BOARD CONCERNING THE LEASE AND REDEVELOPMENT OF THE FORMER MORETOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AS WELL. Yes. My name is Chandra Lester. I live at 3846 Lisa Lane. And I'm here in regards to resolution 66, resolution 78, resolution 80, resolution 81. My concern is, and Resolution 85, because I did know the gentleman. I'm a fellow Gator. My concern is this. I have lived here all of my life. All of my life. 52 years. And I have seen Shreveport come, and I have seen Shreveport go. As a matter of fact, I see Shreveport gone. And this is the reason why I'm saying I've seen it go. I had to find employment somewhere else in another state. And it was because of the pay scale, the roadblocks that are happening here in Shreveport. My concern and my question, or my concern is with the water. I live in G. And I live right behind or in front of the proximity of Cross Lake. I grew up near Cross Lake. And my concern is as a constituent, my water is horrible. And we keep getting excuses about when are we going to fix it? The city and the parish have gone into an agreement with the natural resources with Apex, and they're drilling around our water sources. So Clean Act, that's after they've already put in two gas lines around our same water source. And we don't hear anything about it until it's already inactive. And the reason for me saying that is because I have been asking my councilwoman, which is G, and she's not here, to answer questions, any council persons to answer questions. And we as citizens in that area are blown off. So I see the resolution about now more town. That is also still... is now in F. But that area is divided in two. It's divided in G and in F. And we're next door neighbors. So we should be receiving something from one of the two.

Councilman, as you know, we're working really on a couple of tracks. The one that was bond issue and partially state funded is an attempt to repair the bridge. That one design work is going on so we can get something to the railroad so they can decide whether they will let us do that or not. Okay. This is actually for a much larger, longer down the road project to replace the bridge. Okay. But we are still pursuing the repair and as soon as we know what the railroad will let us do, we'll be able to move forward.

Do we have a time frame on that with the railroad at all?

I would believe we'll know by the end of the year.
