All right, it is 6.30. We will call the Tuesday, May 26, 2026 City Council meeting to order. Excuse me. If you could please join me with the Pledge of Allegiance.

0:13 – 0:260

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

0:27 – 0:521

Thank you. Do we have any additions to the agenda? Hearing none, and as you can see tonight, our city administrator is out sick today, so I will propose that we, in talking with him, table business item seven, as he has most of the background and information on the proposed municipal website services. So with that, I'll look for a motion to approve the agenda with tabling business item seven.

0:530

Motion. Second.

0:54 – 4:171

We have a motion and a second. All in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Excuse me, motion carries 5-0. With that, we'll open up to public comments. If there's anybody who would like to discuss anything that is not on the agenda, please come forward. And seeing none, we will close public comments and move to consent. Is there anything on the consent agenda that needs to be pulled for further discussion? Hearing none, I'll look for a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. Second. We have a motion and a second. All in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed, same sign. Motion carries 5-0. So with that, we will jump right into business items. Number eight, consider approval of quote for the City Hall parking lot and sidewalk access reconstruction. So I think everyone's aware of it. We redid the parking lot last fall. The grades were a little bit bad on the entrances and exits. So we... Sent it back, had both the men come out, reshoot it, and get us some quotes on some better grades for those so cars can get in better or easier, I should say. We will end up losing a couple spaces. I believe it was four more spaces now from what we added, but for the need to get that regraded, it was... That's just what we're going to have to give up for it. And we want to make sure it was done before the mayor rising community festival. So the classic cars could get in and out with no problems. So the North grade, it's looking now to be about seven to 9% grade. And the South approach is going to be a two to 4% grade compared to about 18%, what it currently is now. So quite an improvement. And then there's a 9 foot approach and an 18 foot approach and the recommendations to go with the 18 foot approach. Give it a little bit more room to get that grade a little bit to get it down where it should be. And along with that, with the new sidewalk we put in, it's not handicap access to the road, so we want to put in a handicap space in there so people who are walking up can just get right up on the sidewalks instead of trying to get their strollers up and over the curbs. So that was a quick overview. Everyone should be fairly familiar with it. Does anyone have any questions on it before we move forward? And with that, the recommendation is to go with the 18 foot approach. So look for a motion to award the contract to Concrete Science out of Corcoran and the amount of $17,160 to do with both entrances and the sidewalk. Do we have a motion motion? We have a motion. Do we have a second? Second motion a second. Any further discussion? Once this takes care of everything, right? Spent quite a bit of time out shooting it and and engineering it out, so we should be fine, OK? Alright, no other questions. All in favor say aye. Same sign motion carries 5-0. We'll move to City Council Reports. Council Member Helt, anything to report on?

4:170

Nope, I have had no extra meetings.

4:191

Council Member Fauch?

4:200

I have nothing.

4:211

Council Member McNeely?

4:220

Nothing.

4:231

And Council Member Jackson, anything to report on?

4:260

Nothing.

4:27 – 4:561

And I have not been to any meetings we do have. We'll be starting our contract negotiations with the Union here. We're going to kick off meeting this week with personnel committee and then we'll meet with the collective bargaining unit next week. I think the first so we'll have more to report. Awesome, so with that I look for motion to adjourn motion second. We have a motion and second all in favor say aye aye sign. We are adjourned. Thank you.
