you. All right, it is 6:30. We will call the Tuesday, April 28, 2026 city council meeting to order. If you could please join me in the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. With that, do we have any additions to the agenda? Uh, no additions tonight, mayor. Hearing none, I'll look for a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion. Second. We have a motion and a second. All in favor say I. I.

0:41 – 1:210

I. Post. Same sign. And motion carries. 30. And with that, we will move to public comments. If there is anyone who would like to discuss anything that is not on the agenda, please come forward. Seeing none, we'll close public comments and move to consent agenda. Is there anything on the consent agenda that anyone would like to pull for further discussion? Hearing none, I'll look for a motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion. Second. We have a motion, a second. All in favor say I.

1:17 – 1:350

I. Post same sign. Motion carries 30. And with that, we will move to our one business item for the uh for the meeting. Uh Nick, if you'd like to discuss uh approval of summer hours for staff.

1:32 – 2:370

Thank you, mayor. Uh once again, we're looking at requesting uh from city staff to have office hours once again this year. Uh this was first implemented back in 2018 and city council has graciously approved summer hours and each year since. Uh we're requesting to have city hours or city uh city summer hours go begin on Monday, May 18th and go through the end of uh Friday on September 11. So this is approximately oh this is one week before and one week after Memorial Labor Day, which has been fairly consistent the last couple of years we've done this. So, city hall hours would go to 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and then 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Public works would go to 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Perfect. With that, I'll look for a motion to approve summer hours from Monday, May 18th, 2026 through Friday, September 11th, 2026.

2:37 – 3:210

Motion. Second. We have a motion, a second. Any further discussion? No. And thank you for bringing this forward again, Nick. We've been doing this, like I said, for many years. We've never had any um issues with it from staffing from resident side. So, um very happy we can keep working or keep offering these summer hours. I think it's a great benefit for people in the summer and try to get out a little early and enjoy their weekend. So, I appreciate that. Um so, if there's no other comments, all in favor say I. I. Post. same sign. Motion carries 300. With that, we will move to uh city council reports. Council member Helton, anything report on? I haven't had any extra meetings. Nope. Council member Fouch report on.

3:190

I do not have anything.

3:21 – 4:130

And I attended the schoolboard meeting last night. So, Watertown mayor moved their uh schoolboard meeting to the city of mayor. Uh we were contacted by Superintendent Scheler and chair uh felt to um try it out, see how it went. It was a great success. There was a lot of people who showed up. Um they did have some awards for some of the students, some of the spring awards, so some families were there and students. It was a little busy for that reason. It was pretty full in here, but it turned out great and we're hoping we can turn it into a at least a yearly event. Um you know, they meet once a month. it does hit our last meeting of the of the month. So, we'd have to move like we did for tonight. So, we figured was maybe once a year, maybe twice a year, just um for a little change and you know, but great success.

4:13 – 4:560

Good. And with that, just a reminder, we do have spring cleanup scheduled for Saturday, May 9th. So, if uh people have seen the flyers or if you have any uh not sure who to contact, you could call the city offices to see what can go out or not go out and we certainly recommend getting things out Friday night um as they start 7 a.m. and and get going. So, with that, I have nothing else and I'll look for a motion to adjurnn. Motion second. Have a motion second. All in favor say I. I. I. Posting sign. We are journed. Four minutes. Yes. You got to love that. I told you.
