Presentation of Distinguished Service Award to Robert W. Kinney. Mr. Kinney has been the Ward 6 Planning Commissioner since 2003. He was elected Vice - Chair July 2005 and served till July 2006. In 2013 Mr. Kinney was elected Chairman of the Planning Commission and served in that capacity till March 2026; Mr. Diffley has been his Vice-Chair throughout that time. He has also served as a Director on the Marietta Museum of History Board. Presented by Council Member Andre L. Sims

Proposed 2028 SPLOST

Motion authorizing Public Works to proceed with the list of projects for the 2028 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) and to submit the final list to Cobb County for inclusion on the November referendum ballot. Public Hearings Required Council Member Goldstein discloses that members of his family and/or entities owned by himself and/or members of his family own properties along Atlanta Street from South Marietta Parkway to the Square. Council Member Goldstein will abstain from this portion of the item dealing with the Atlanta Street project.
