The report that you guys have uh last month was pretty uh light. We have seven uh semi compliance purchase uh two final zoning compliance inspections previous and then I had three violations written and investigated. Still waiting for answers. And two of them, two of them are operating site plan. One is operating without permit. Okay. And one of them is for operations that get ready to state.

Okay. Can you tell us about it?

Uh that one is They're throwing their manure and they're operating waste in front. So we don't seem to understand that's the number of animals that they have. I don't have something on the acres too close to the road and they're just pushing their

Oh, Right. So, but I think that this they don't seem to listen or care for the other ones that are operating with it could be misunderstandings. I doubt it, but um trying to figure out to figure out the next step. Okay.

I'm not sure if they were charging or not, but I would imagine that they did. So they and all I wanted them to do was apply for temporary amusement. Right. But like many other they just refuse to follow the rules even though the rules are pretty simple right

and he's no big deal just so they they were warned u there's another one coming up that they're not sure but it's only 30 people but we'll see we'll see it's just an easy to come in it is And it's yeah when they have their all the fire the fire department wants to know what's going to happen. The police wants to know what's going to happen, right? And if the neighbors call, I can tell them this is what's happening, right?

They were concerned that their special use permit was mining them up and when we had they hadn't done anything in 100 days. So, what what my contention is and I think this is the way I feel. They could not even start their business or start doing anything until they got this new approved.

Right? That's one condition of the specialist, right? So I'm looking at it as when they got their ZBA approval, which was August 28th, that's when their time frame started. Is that Yeah, that's a condition. It's a conditional thing if they Right. Right. Right. Right. the concern and they were worried that, you know, we're going to say something. But I said, you know, how we couldn't force them to do something on the property until they were assured that they could do what they want to do, right? It's not a valid permit until they met all the requirements and

now if you want to go and just give us an up. Yeah. The architect and the engineer at Wilson, the architect don't think they're going to be able to make that deadline or they're concerned. So they asked me to get an extension on that. There was some confusion as to when our six months started which also led us to go to come here early and early but then when um we said well we think the six months began in August which gives us till February and

you know they're the engineers and architects are like maybe you know on February and so um and so that we had already had this confusion. So, I wanted to come and ask for an extension. Anyway, what I would like to ask for an extension is 6 months to August. I think we'll get this done long before long before then. That's what I would like. Now, we're going to be close to February, but I just am not sure. I mean, the architect couldn't start until this month, and he just got a preliminary plan. It was last week. So I I want you to know we are very we're moving as fast as the architects and engineers can.

Right. Right. Will they have a preliminary site plan available? Yeah. We don't have any. What we need is a preliminary site. Right. And then it would come to us. We would say this this works, this doesn't work. We need this. We need that. And then it goes back to them. you change or do whatever you need to do and it'll come back to us for a final site. Okay. So, since we've had this confusion, are you saying that the preliminary site plan has to be here by February the February meeting, not to fight? Yes. Okay.

And there's a certain in the ordinance and I'm sure Mariano can get it to you or Bill can get it to you. It tells you exactly what we need in our sites and all the Yeah, they they've got they've got that piece of it and I think that makes a lot more likely. I mean, I think their concern was it wasn't going to be they were going to have a final and then we weren't sure we started. So, we just had some um but if if I guess from that point we get a preliminary let's say in February but we come here for a preliminary and it gets we have to delay it a month or whatever. We just don't know what how the how the deadline's going to look and how it's going to be.

Yeah. If you bring in the preliminary, then you know, we would tell you what we need from you. Yeah. If something needs to be changed and something doesn't and then you would put the final together. Okay. Um at that point the preliminary is really the only way. That's what I that's why I understand it. You just do the preliminary by February. Submit. Submitted. Yeah. And actually, you know, our meeting's the fourth February or the fourth February, right? So, so you know, if you're going to submit it for Yeah, we got to submit. There was a gather time. What's it take? February 23rd. So, it's January 29th.

29th. Yeah. We have to get the preliminary submitted to you by January 2. I think that's possible, but the I I'm just telling you they're telling me they're not sure. And so that's why I came and asked for the extension and and and I don't know. Yeah, it seems of certain to me, right? But I I also I don't know what it's like to be an architect or an engineer. How much better? So, well, like I said, I mean, if it gets to the point where in January they haven't gotten anything done to put in for us to look at, then maybe then we would request the Spanish,

right? And I think it's what I say. My my urgency to to you for submitting at least a preliminary recycling is the planning board you as long as you're you're showing process progress it's some days right the problem in February is the fact that the variance zoning expires if they don't see anything happen. So, we don't want to have to go through the zoning approval again.

That's why I'm not sure part of the zoning appeal. They would have to apply again, right, for that zoning. Well, I thought I I shot down when I said something about it expiring. Well, it expires in February unless they provide plans, right? Right. to the board for another month or two or whatever. It it just it tells the zoning boards that you're working. Yeah. But if you don't provide anything by their 180 days return in February since you received the variance,

then that goes away and you have to the variance process again. So give them your architects and engineers a nice picture present and maybe they'll put this for you. They were going to get a bottle of wine, but forget that. That's that's too much revolves their judgment. Okay. Does anybody have any questions? No. And you kind of got what you got to do now. I have what we have to do. I'll take it back to them and see how they go along.

Yeah. Yeah. they can just get us something in because like again like I said more often than not preliminary there's gonna be some things that we're gonna want change. So but it's the main thing it's you got to show progress right? Yeah you're actively working yeah I I I yes I can already show progress so I I I brought the the the floor plan and like we're actively moving forward with all of that. I just, you know, we'll see. I I'll take it back to them and tell them you got to submit a preliminary by the January January date. Yeah. And that gives our planner time to look it over, pick up.

I'll go back to them and tell them that. And I and they they were under the impression they have to have a finalist. So that might be just fine. I mean, if you're it take them too long to get the final, just do the preliminary and then and things might, you know, again, there might things be things that we're going to ask for on the claim that we need to be updated in. But once you get a preliminary here that extends it, yeah, extends it. So, okay.

At this point, we I have a new planner for along the township and I'd like them to stand up and introduce themselves and who they are with I started by Becket and Raider of course. Um started with Becket and Raider in the Arbor office in a part-time July of 24 and fulltime September of 24. Prior to that, I was doing public sector work for quite some time. I was with Van Beerren Township on the west part of Wayne County uh for a little less than five years and before that with the city of Walker on the west side of the state. So kind of both growing communities and um pretty familiar with zoning administration and sites review processes. So I'm looking forward to helping to provide guidance for this application and help a lot of the township to help out. So be here and thanks everybody for having us tonight with my colleague.

Hello, I'm Dana Hawthorne. I've been with Beccan Raiders since February 2023. Um came to Michigan for grad school for urban and regional planning. Um so came here for planning and still writ planning. So it's been almost three years I've been with this firm. Um before coming here for grad school, I taught middle school math for four years and I'm originally from North Carolina. So Michigan is different but happy to be here. Yeah. Excited to have this planning service experience and held out and um yeah he part of Michigan. Okay. All right. Um I don't know. Do you want to meet our planners here?

And if I remember correctly, at the last meeting, Paul had said the data center would have to be in the power of his research office. And none of our land is big enough to contain advance.

Is it research office or is it industrial? Is that why? Is it industrial? Okay. They didn't have it. Right. That's why they kind of didn't have choice. I guess maybe that's a policy. We have industriality. We have industrial even research office. Even if they tried either way, we have we don't have enough. There's not a big continuous piece of land that would be able to support. Well, water, right?

Right. Yeah, I mean they're huge like 700 acres. We don't have really that big open.
