Board of Health - Regular Meeting

all right it is 10 a.m. on February 18th we are going to begin this um Lake County Board of Health meeting yes um so thank you commissioner so we uh talked about it a little bit um or a lot bit in our work session in the overview of Lake County Public Health Agency um so what we are doing here today is approving the 2025 budget well approving the amount to be drawn down from the Asarco trust fund to fund the Lake County blood Le work for 2025 with that I will turn it over to Julia and Kelsey um and take it away I want to begin by um saying I'm happy to see that still here Linda sure I heard there were some um it says that I can't share my screen uh one moment stand by you should be good now okay internet's being really slow too so I just want to thank everyone for their patience in advance with us all right can you see our Excel spreadsheet yep okay fantastic so we have a smaller request for the Asarco trust for um this year to try and um use other funding while it's available um so you'll see that our total request at the bottom is $ 43,81941 to be very exact act um this is less than last year because we are utilizing

the end of covid funds while they are still available to fund the salary of the person who is doing this work um and then we're basically just piecing together a quarter of that salary from blood lead and then just funding some very general operating um for blood Le out of this budget um and we are happy to answer any questions no questions for me it looks very straightforward um yeah no questions for me and I don't have any questions either I have no questions I have no questions nor do I there is a resounding lack of questions we love that um great and then we also we used to budget a lot for contingency but through discussion we learned that throughout the year if we have a large expense come up we can convene this group and request more money at that time so that is our goal to leave the money where it is AC crewing interest um and then if a large expense comes up we will convene the group and request more funding at that time um so I think that's it um we just need to vote Yes so the the motion would be Kelsey can you scroll down uh the motion would be to um approve that amount uh for the 2025 blood Le budget all right z i moveed to approve $ 43,81941 to be drawn down for the blood L budget I'll second the motion I will third that take it to a vote Yes I I I all

right it passes unanimously thank you and then um Lind go ahead Linda yep yeah and then according to the um work plan so then Kyle and I would also vote just so we have record of all three parties yeah it no problem but I vote in favor and I vote Yes all right still unanimous stra all right and then will you start the transfer today Linda or this week um so Kyle will send me a letter um saying that cdph approves the budget and um but I will start I'll send you the wire instructions that I have and make sure that's still the same I have have the bank of Hugo and then in the past I CC um one commissioner so is there a commissioner that's the finance um commissioner no we haven't we kind of moved away from that I mean if you want to C see the whole board that's fine or if you want to CC me and Lauren then we can make sure that the uh thanks Jus um that the treasurer's office and finance knows the money coming in and then the purpose for it and what's Lauren's last name Snider okay and then is Julie Gonzalez is she still there because I I typically um CCE her also on this okay please CeCe Julie that's great okay yeah so we will start the process um I think within this is a very conservative gas two weeks it probably will be much s sooner but um so and we'll notify you
