All right, I'm going to call the time is 6:48. I'm going to call this March 4th special finance and audit committee meeting to order. What did I say? Oh, it is May 4th. March 4th if you follow the Julian calendar. Um so we have one item on our agenda that is a budget transfer regarding the charter revision consultant. Uh I could just read the committee's report, right? All right, the committee report reads 2026 budgetary modification provide funding for charter review consultant as follows: to common council consultants uh in the amount of $46,980 from contingency of the same amount. The estimated financial impact is $46,980. Does anybody uh What's the total again? 2046. 2046. 146,000. Yes. So the total amount we've already the 2026 budget allocated $100,000 in funding for this line. Uh the consultant I believe wants the full amount or maybe that comes from a request from the mayor. Yeah. So we're just adding another $46,000 that we assumed we would have been adding in next year's budget to this year's budget. So I'm moving the funds ahead. We're not spending the money. What I understand I don't know if you've experienced this but when I was talking to Von Essen and others apparently the state was was a contract to be fully you know, in place. All the money, even if you don't spend it, because you can spend it over time. They just want to make sure you're going to have all the money you need. So, that was what I Yeah, well, essentially we Yeah, essentially it's um

a purchase order contract you have or, right? So, technically when you're when you're signing a contract, you're guaranteeing that vendor that you would the city will pay that vendor the $36,030. Some of that has not been The funding is not complete yet, right? So, this just gets us funding in place. Right. Right. So, what will happen is uh to the extent that some of this money is not spent this year, that purchase order will carry over, just like all of our other purchase orders, to next year. They'll bring that budget money with it. Right. Okay. All right, anybody else? Carol. Yeah, I I'd have to say that um while [clears throat] I had been in full favor of this before um um I'm I'm a little hesitant because of um everything that the city has gone through and the possible strains that we might be feeling in the future. So, I will be a no on it. Okay. Anybody else? All right, I already read the committee report, so can I get a motion? Motion.

9:07 – 9:380

Motion by Alderman Pasy, seconded by Alderman Hirsch. Any further discussion? All in favor? Aye. Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Opposed. Passes. Uh that is the close [snorts] of our business of the special finance committee. Uh can I get a motion to adjourn? Motion. All right. Second. All in favor? Aye. All right, thank you. Thank you, Alyssa. Thank you, Mr. Sweeney 10. All right.
